another cool trick to do an ariel attack really fast is to press tap y with top part of your thumb and then with the bottom part of your thumb press A straight afterward. do the process in a worm like fashion. it might feel weird at first but then it will seem like walking.

When you do an aerial attack try jumping lower. and when you hit the ground, practice jumping straight back up quickly. in the air flick the control stick down and then after do an air attack. air attacks in this game are instantaneous, and the lower you are able to hit with them the better, also try grabbing too if you feel the opponent is open, the air dodge can be used to slide around but i havent practiced much on that because i play brawl, and the mechanics are different, hope this helped:]
