Agreed, using a screwdriver isn't the best way to do it.
I would use the green case opening tool and slowly pry it up, while pulling on the tab. I actually used a pair of pliers on the tab sometimes, but whatever works.
Haha true, but it doesn't say it's a full guide, it says it's a guide on removing the battery, and that's exactly what he did. A little too literal hahah.
Stock is 1220mAh in my 3GS, you can buy replacements, they'll be around the same, even if they say 1600mAh, I've tested those and they produce about 1225mAh on the first discharge, reducing thereafter.
