I'm no Bernstein scholar or anything, but after having watched his Harvard Lectures in college and noticing the clarity, ease, and youthful vigor with which he deconstructs such dense material I think he would have probably found this video amusing. But I'm sure I'm wrong and some snob is just waiting to strike me down.

I think the people that are offended by this need to try and not take things so seriously. This is clearly meant to be a playful quip, and not in anyway offensive.

I think this snippet is from his Lectures at Harvard series, early 1970's. He gave a series of lectures on western music, its structure, etc etc. I rented this from my library and it's fascinating, absolutely fascinating. He was brilliant. I'm not sure why you post this in such a way, except to poke fun at him for some reason.

It's okay bhinderbinder. I own The Unanswered Question Series myself and was inspired a great deal by the series and his brilliance. I'm not poking fun at him at all. I wish he was still alive. A bug was on the screen; I had my camera; I couldn't resist. However, I do find it odd that this video is the most watched and discussed out of all the 100+ videos that I've posted. Merely putting "bernstein" in your tags list will get you lots of views.
