Hey, it grows back as fast as shaving. My hair didn't shed with either device. I figured if the hair sheds at least I'm hair free for awhile but the hair never fell out so it's a complete waste of time.
@DesendantOfAdam It's called doing research. In order to permanently disable a hair folicle it has to be heated to around 127 degrees. No home device can do this because that power could burn a hole in your skin if used incorrectly. No home laser is powerful enough to permanently damage the hair, only disable it temporarily, so you always need to use it. I've owned the Silk'n it doesn't work at all.
@DesendantOfAdam I'm white, skin type low 3. Had many professional laser treatments and pretty much hair free now. Silk'n did nothing though. Tria and Silk'n are NOT permanent.
@geddon436 It takes around 6 sessions to be hair free. Depends on the area, underarms for example are around $60 per session so $360 in total. My full chest was $85 in total x 6 so $680 etc etc. Tria and Silk'n are not permanent and barely work at all.
@edokid so even though tria and silk'n arent permanent how long does it take for the hair to grow back with both of them?? and do they help you not get ingrown hairs X(??
Im male using it. Hair goes away & it will come back. its not powerful enough for men to use, guys hair is to thick. im using it for more then a year im on to my 10th session & it just keeps growing back. Im not really hairy. this machine is peace of crap. but when you resell it again some one will buy it & you wont lose money. Silk'n is not powerful enough to yield permanent lasting results. For a short term fix, it might be Ok. good luck to other guys
If you had 3 years to wait in between charges to finish your leg then the Tria would be on a pa with the silk'n. Well for one leg anyway. You'd then have to buy another Tria because the battery has run out.
If you like living too much and want quick effective results, buy Silk'n.
@Room0501 The tria works on the long run. Its an actual laser so it does remove the hair permanently but it does take a longer time. The silk'n is nothing more than two bulbs and they are not strong enough to kill off the root of the hair like the tria. The tria is also smaller because it IS a laser. I have had laser treatments at the doctors and it is a long procedure. You can't get rid of hair permanently in a few weeks because the hair grows in different stages.

@edokid How many sessions and how much did each cost to make you completely hair free? Are you hair free all over?

Silk'n!! Same strength but treatment is much much quicker due to larger treatment area. It's also £250 cheaper!
