Now for the movie, it was an epic movie done with awesome graphics. So it is good that people don't get the wrong impressions from what is depicted as movies do impact people in more ways you can imagine.

Funny, I heard that from a very learned historian. And it makes sense, since wars back then took decades. Xerxes armies invade, hundreds of thousands of Persian males thousands of miles from their wives for many years, are going to take Greek wives. Like in the UK, the close you get to where the Norse landed, the more natural blondes there are.
This is where war between Greeks and Persians began, and Alexander the Great ended it by completely destroying Persia. Sparta however didn't support Alexander in its campaign

The Persians posed the greatest threat to the ancient greeks that could however be fought.They got pushed back however.
