Why didn't God (lol) give this game a Jump Cancel system in its gameplay... It would be SO great, allowing players to do more great combos in another game than Devil May Cry...

@ChaosDuelistKyo There are jump cancels, but they're not really needed cause unlike DMC3 and 4 your air options are so much more diverse and not as limited (being able to use a launcher attack and use the bird teleport move which hits the enemy and keeps them airborne are the main two reasons)

Even then, unlike in DMC3 when you jump cancel you will go a bit higher than your enemy so after about 3-4 times you will not be able to connect anything anymore, even if you do it as fast as in DMC3.

Just finished the game on normal and I was amazed at how deceptively deep this game is. Hours and hours of fun to be had with the combos with the various weapon loadouts.

An absolute classic.

@spyderman0129 im my opinion im fine with some parts in the ps3 version, in the records of time the scene seemed more cinematic because the game was running at 24fps (which all movies are shot in). but i wish the ps3 version had the textures the xbox version had. BUT! the team who ported the game ported this game ported Doom 3 for the saturn back in the day. and now their porting plagued this marvelous game..

I'll gladly take an in-depth game over something so basic and simple a monkey could play it blindfolded within 2 minutes.

Wow, that was really something! You must be really good to have come up with all that style! Did you beat Rodin or Angel Slayer yet?

@beening Yeah, beat both already. Rodin took me some practice to get down though (3 hours) and I can't really do it again. Angel Slayer is pretty easy for me now, though I have to use the accessory that gets me health back by taunting about halfway through it.

Maybe I'll record a runthrough of Angel Slayer someday, though I would be rusty since I haven't really played this in a few months.

@Daedron12 Rodin was slightly easier than angel slayer to me, I ran out of steam 4/5 through, but I did both, AS then Rodin. I kinda used a cheap method on the triple Jeanne and Final fight though.

@beening I always abuse the camera in the final fight, not so much on the 3 Jeanne fight cause I can generally handle those pretty easily.

I just really don't feel like dying right at the end, so I just equip pillow talk, turn the camera away so Bayo clone just walks up to me and then give her a fully charged attack to the face. I just repeat that till she's dead ;p

@Daedron12 I did the same thing. I felt bad but it took me so long to get that far and I was mentally exhausted so I did what I felt I had to do to win and promised myself to beat it fair later. I did Beat Rodin legit, now to do that without Climax Brace so I can feel better.

@TheMetallicForce The teleport is called Umbran Spear, you have to buy the move from the shop after you buy Crow form, you activate it by pressing RB or R1(if you're on PS3) two times in a row quickly.

The weapon at 4:46 is called the Sai-fong, you unlock it if you beat 100 chapters, so about 5-6 full playthroughs of the game. Or you can just play the proglogue chapter over and over, should be able to beat that one in about 5 minutes each time.

@TheMetallicForce Started playing in November, dunno how much time I have on my files since I have both the PS3 version and X360 version, but its probably like 200 hours total.

This Combos could be very powerful, but then they wouldn't look so incredible,

because the enemys would die, before the combo is complete.

I just use the Combos Y/B/Y and Y/Y/Y/Y/B-Spam with shurba+durgas and Durga+Kilgore.

Never belive that so wonderful combos are possibe :)

Is there any high level tricks in this game like JCs? Or are these combos straight-up within the limits of the engine?

@HinataChan30 There are jump cancels in this game, though compared to DMC they're not really needed since you have way more tools at your disposal compared to that game. Mainly using launcher moves while already in the air and the umbran spear (where you quickly teleport to your enemy). I use it a few times in this video but it's mainly only to cancel certain moves

@Simpliztic It'll take some time, but compared to Devil May Cry 3's combat system, this one is way easier to do cool stuff with. Though you also have way way more options than in DMC3 ;)

@sonofglove The command is: Analog back to forward + B . Takes 2 magic to perform. Theres another one as well but the command is: Analog back to forward + Y. that one does a a straight wicked weave.

you can get '720p' resolution by making your video 1024x576 or 1280x720 when you go to render. personally i use virtual dub to sort that out, after putting together the clips in vegas. vegas doesn't crash on my computer.

@JustNonplussed The first two times I rendered this in 720p Sony Vegas didn't crash on me, I had to edit some last stuff though and after I did everything I wanted to do I couldn't render in 720p without it crashing at 50%-ish, dunno why ;/
