  • Tight solo, James. I've been listening since Cancer's "Death Shall Rise" and I really dig the melodic direction you've taken things in. Convergence and Feeding the Machine were great. Keep it coming!

  • Yeah James Murphy is an awesome guitar player

  • does anyone know if that is an Eventide H8000 or H7600 that he is running through? those units both looks the same.

  • @zaplauncher hi, it's a DSP 4000 actually... i use it for delay. i play all harmonies myself.

  • No In return to serenity video its Glen Alvelais with Ibanez RG 550 i think. This guy played in mighty Forbidden :) Anyway, wish they made a video to song Trail of Tears with James!!!!

  • With James' technique that leads to super-clean soloing, I guess. Anyway, that's cool.

  • Hey James, is that you in the Return to Serenity video? It looks like you.

  • So, the open strings can't be played on, because of the damping?

  • @wavesynth

when someone puts a string dampener, maybe he knows that he won't use open strings in the parts he's goin to record. Anyway, it's cool to see that a super pro like James uses something to mute the strings just like us, common mortals . hehe ..

  • @wavesynth

correct, but how rare is to play open strings in a solo?

  • Awsome man

  • what's that noise killer below 1st fret?

  • I think that it is for tapping, sweeping or something so some of the strings don't ring out...

  • KICK ASS!!!.....please post more...

  • wow awesome ! very nice tone and great work ! really 10 stars !!!

    -TAKA-
