typical french arrogance. actually, thats what i heard catherine deneuve said herself in an interview. and actually yes i am french without the arrogance. mademoiselle n'importe quoi!
OMG, for a split second, thought that was Sharon Tate. She used to do her eyeliner like that and there was some film made of Sharon putting on eyeliner like that when getting ready for a shoot in a film she was doing. Funny how they have similiar features. That music sucks, btw.
francoise d'orleac is indeed more beautiful than her sister, because more real. she was the actress of the family. catherine decided to be an actress only to replace her sister when she died. catherine is a phoney...
@frtac That's completely wrong but I forgive your ignorance because you are not french. As I am french, I can tell you that the Françoise Dorléac wanted to be an actress and she convinced Catherine Deneuve, who did not want to be an actress first, to play in a movie with her. She wanted to play with her sister, that is why Catherine Deneuve tried it and liked it. Catherine Deneuve did not choose to be an actress after the death of her sister, n'importe quoi ! Just see her filmography
@coriolaninred typical french arrogance. actually, thats what i heard catherine say herself in an interview. unless she was lying... and actually, yes, i am french, without the arrogance, mademoiselle n'importe quoi!
i have been enjoying 40 years of u s democracy, with the right to think and speak freely without some know-it-all little bitch giving me a lesson in putting down people who don't think like her...
1999 I made a special detour, after visiting friends in Ullapool Scotland, to see this castle 'Rob Roy' Lindisfarne island North Humberland only because I saw the movie! It was splendid to walk around the castle and I spoke to a guard who worked there at the time the movie was shot there. He told me that they had to put a candle in the fridge because there was no electric power at that time in the castle!!! You see George open the fridge to take a lot of eggs: the small light is faked :-))
R. Polanski is a genius, that's my opinion. And he chose Francoise, because he new that she was a fantastic actress. And that she was sooo beautiful. 316 viewers 08.21.2008. That's a pity. Hello Francoise in Heaven, I will always return to you, and to this fantastique movie.
She has to be the most striking woman. The perfect poseuse in this scene. Plus she is super good as the high-maintenance spoiled brat in this movie. Thank you!
Thanks for the upload.

I Love the "ambient sound" .The record is music by(Krzysztof) Komeda, who composed this and most of Polanski's films up to "Rosemary's Baby".
