One thing you didn't go into was reporting non-paying buyers to Etsy management. I only had one non payer, but the sale was over $75. She had also bought from others and not paid them either. Alerting management gave them the chance to look into it and close the buyer's account before she did more damage.

im very new to etsy, so im wondering if you get payed first then send your stuff..if so then why are "none payers" such and issue?

Thanks guys. I love the description info. I do get frustrated when I'm searching for things and something way off comes up. I was searching for 'pirate' today and a sparrow necklace came up...???? the only thing I could think was Jack Sparrow but it had nothing to do with pirates...frustrating!
