its a single pedal. He has a double bass set, but he doesnt use it for mars volta. I know its possible because I've been trying and im damn near close to his speed, but staying consistent like him is a bitch right now

It's single. Sometimes it sounds like he's using two, but a lot of times he's actually hitting the snare so quickly and perfectly it sounds kind of like a bass drum. I think it's called Ghost tapping or something, it's outta this world.

@ElCapitan591 Who? Thomas Pridgen? Yep, he's crazy as fuck!!!! I liked Jon Theodore better, but man, in Wax Simulacra you can really appreciate his bass drum in action. He in fact uses single, but just hits that drum like one crazy motherfucker :D

i loved this show i was smoking freely right behind all the moshing...lighting is rediculous!!!! and cedrics voice gets better n better each time i see em. This is the only band that trys to do somthin different each album and make there over all sound uncomparable and unherd before. these days almost every new band sounds alike

this is a nice vid but it sounds to me that somewhere around the eighth minute there's some confusion, i think the lyrics go wrong or something i'm not exactly sure
