trytotake, Darwish is referencing Joseph in the Bible and Qu'ran in Genesis and Sura 12. Joseph has a dreal that he saw 11 stars and the sun and the moon bowing to him. Eventually, around sura 99 the reader comes to learn that his brothers stop betraying him and he becomes the spiritual center of his family. Like the center of a constellation or universe.
I'm sure like most of his poems, this is pointed at the palestinian-israeli conflict.
I think in this poem, the palestinian people are yusuf and his 11 brothers are the other 11 arab countries supposed to be his brothers but are so bad to him that even the wolf (israel) is more noble than them.
