All the critics rail on about irresponsible students carrying guns. They ignore faculty and staff who are extremely responsible but are forbidden to carry and protect themselves and others.
I don't understand why the media asks students that have no clue about the law or the facts get 2 people that know the facts and you will have your answer to the debate.
Why carry a gun and live in fear? Unfortunately sometimes horrible things happen, it calls for stricter gun laws not for everybody to start carrying guns i seriously cannot believe people actually consider this!!!!!!!!!
Some people are saying that "we shouldn't have to worry about massacres on college campuses; we should work on dealing with anger management." I say most of us do quite well with anger management; but those who set out to kill others have no regard for us normal individuals who actually think using our brains. The last line of defense should be legalized carry on campus. If someone starts shooting on a violent rampage, those of us law abiding citizens should be able to defend ourselves.
The logic of some of the anti's is just crazy. "I might've hit someone else, so it's better to let 30 people be murdered at point-blank range instead of trying" is in effect what the one guy was saying. Sounds pretty dumb to me.
it really annoys me that whenever this issue is covered on the news, they're never clear about our intentions and by doing so grossly distort the way our views are portrayed
Agreed. It's sad how this sort've movement is sometimes put in a negative light. As if these guys are some crazy paranoid vigilantes or as the one woman stated "18 year olds". This is anti-gun rights people get their foot in the door though sadly. "If there were more laws that law-abiding citizens had to adhere too, criminals who donot follow laws will be hurt in the process." Their logic is extremely frustrating.
There is an error in the report. Unconstitutional Georgia laws do NOT allow students to carry firearms on campus. It is illegal to even have them in our cars. There is a bill (HB 915) in the state legislature that would change these laws. I attend a college in GA where some men walked into the school library and took some laptops from students. One man jestured as if he were armed. A few weeks later a man tryed to abduct a female student on campus. We need HB 915 to pass in GA!!!

I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
