this is not Roan Mountain, NC. LOL It is Elk River Falls, in Elk Park NC. Roan Mountain is in Tenessee.

My family used to own a lot of this land and it goes way past the falls down into what used to be called the old Franklin home place. about four miles past the falls. that is where my mom and her family lived.
