  • for school....FML

  • @ASexyChef and @JAEAREONE You two need to take this argument somewhere else because you're both being childish and your bickering is not appreciated. This is a documentary and it's meant to deliver information, not be the source of incessant and pointless debate and name-calling.

  • hu is that 19:26

  • konstantinople was being extorted from 4 different rivals how could the city not crash and fall to the muslims, Konstantine was giving gold in an exchange for peace so the Christians can hold their land in which they built and bled for thousands of years you fucking animals.

  • @JAEAREONE What are you ranting about, what ethinic group are you to use a fucking K no one speaks latin anymore constantinople major issue if you actually study history, is corruption, it used to be a great empire, the eastern Roman Empire, but when the Turks came onto the world stage, the byzantine empire was a fraction of what it had been 500 years ago. Ignore the fact they fought with like Parthia, Zorasterianist, for hundreds of years also, and the Golden Horde ware pagan lmao.

  • @ASexyChef Konstantine = Konstandinople they are both Greek words not Latin. How was the Latin alphabet formed? Do your research silly, I spell it with a K cause i feel it's more accurate. Even in the city back then people spoke Latin, but majority spoke Greek, What business did the Turks have making my ancestors slaves and second class citizens in the city of Athens changing what people believe and raping, looting, burning churches turning the great Ayia Sofia into a mosque should i keep going?

  • @JAEAREONE Seriously, my ancestors were fucked over by the English for the longest time period, they have seriously screwed over Scotland for like a 1000 years but if I were to rant in this day and age over shit that happened not in my life time, I would be an idiot, because the english today are not accountable for shit their great great grand parents did. Your rant is as stupid as Muslims today who rant about the Crusades, what are you greek, why don't we bitch than about Alexander.

  • @JAEAREONE What right did Alexander have to conquer the whole middle east huh? What right did he have and the greeks who fallowed him to start the Hellenic age up until rome than took over. O wait they took over thats why they could spread their ideas, values, and Gods all around those areas. Just like Rome when it took over had the right too, spread its ways, how many temples to whatever God were converted into churches, blah blah blah. You are seriously unhinged!

  • @JAEAREONE The history of the world is simple, whomever is in power gets to dictate whatever they want. The Turks have the same right as the catholics do, to have converted the Pantheon in Rome into a church, or the mosques in Sicily or spain into churches when the christians took back those areas. If you want the Ayia Sofia to be a church well than get a bunch of christians to take over Istanbul, and name it whatever you want or convert a whole lot of people in Turkey.

  • @JAEAREONE How can you even call yourself a christian, because that seems to be the claim. Have you read what Jesus taught? Were does jesus say to hate people, do you ignore the part were Jesus tells you to love even your enemy, cause your clearly not doing it. If you meet Jesus today, would he reward you for hating people who had nothing to do with the crimes you are talking about? No one alive today had anything to do with the Ottomans taking over the Ayia Sofia, Jesus taught you better!

  • @ASexyChef Alexander would go to places that were impressed, to spread Hellenism, Alexander the great was excepted in most of his conquests, He fought dictatorship, Alexander the great is reason you know how to wipe your ass. You're over rated, and uneducated. I'm finished with you.

  • @JAEAREONE You call me a clown and like a buffoon you claim Alexander was a great liberator, Egypt viewed his as a liberator, but he's only intent was global domination, it was not as if he was spreading democracy. I am sure a twit like you does not grasp that the persian were actually far more liberal. Alexander and the greeks were very oppressive and force helenism onto the whole region, fuck read their own writings, the Greeks were the only civilized people, according to themselves,

  • @JAEAREONE However if your of greek decent its not wonder why you have the delusional view of Alexander, too bad he actually wasn't greek he was Macedonian, considered to be a backwater. Too bad Alexander only conquered persia, not the known world, and when he finally meet a decent general he got his ass kick in India, compared to Julius, Hannibal, or Genghis Khan he accomplished jack shit. Not only do you prove yourself to be a horrible christian but a child are you twelve wipe my ass?

  • @JAEAREONE Hey how about an actually history Lesion, the first democracy in the world is not Athens, it was in Persia modern day Iran, predates Athens by a few hundred years. The actual persian that Alexander conquered were not Pagans but were the first monotheists Zoroastrians, the Hellenist pagans oppressed them. So you can put your Alexander who declared himself a God up, but at-least the Persians were smart enough to realize there was only one God, for over 2000 years before the greeks!

  • @JAEAREONE I have no clue honestly why you would be fixated in the first place with me wiping my ass but we do know the greeks have always been into mens asses, its the most homoerotic of all civilizations. If we practices the olympic games all men would be running around naked, we all know the greeks love to wrestle other man, and the winner did get to fuck the loser in the ass. So its not surprise you are fantasizing about shit in my ass, but I not gay so whatever floats your perverse mind.

  • @ASexyChef Oh and for the record, I don't spread hate, I spread reality! It's clowns like you that have nothing better to do with their life besides argue the protocol, Even though you attacked me for no reason i still wish peace upon you, AND THERE IS NO WAY YOU WILL CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT TURKS! bye now.

  • @ASexyChef Corruption? Really? The whole United States is built on Corruption does that open a gate for the Chinese to come in your house and rape your whole family make you a slave and change your belief ? Stupid

  • So now every one knows were all muslim by faith and muslim by knowledge, Ha! Guess they were right when it was said "One Muslim World".

  • 19:25 Who is that? Where can I find the whole thing???! It's beautiful!

  • @projectbrumaire have u find out

  • its not kunan its Kanuni. Meaning law giver

  • FO u losers who spoke evil of islam...

  • empire of faith? he didnt want to fight against his muslim brothers so why not attack the christians. DEATH TO ISLAM!! FUCK THIS DOCUMENTARY..

  • @JAEAREONE get out of here dickhead

  • Great documentary

  • @menacingshadows Brother u r mistaken. If a Christian commit crime it does not mean Christianity preach violence similarly if a Muslim say bad thing he is going against his religion. Maryam(Mary) Mother of Jesus peace be upon him is called the most honorable women of all time in Quran.Even a chapter is named after her called Surah maryam(chapter Mary). In ur 73 books of bible u hv john, mark etc but u haven't got chapter Mary. FIND OUT WHT QURAN SAYS ABOUT JESUS,MOSSES,ABRAHIM & OTHERS.

  • @naveedngr When you say the Name "Jesus" you shall call him "The Lord Jesus Christ". Not just Jesus like you're talking about a regular man named Jose or something, And stop saying peace be upon him, you doubt him and then sarcastically call for peace? And what the hell are you talking about spreading lies that Mary is not mentioned in the bible are you smoking crack? I'm a Christian Orthodox and yes i know i'm you're worst nightmare. My religion goes back 1,000's of years before islam.Book it

  • @JAEAREONE : lord is God and God alone. ISA/Jesus was a profit/messenger of God (human) like us (the best status a human could be/ like mosses/ like Mohammed) peace be upon them all. you say your religion is 1000years before Islam (Jewish religion is much older than Christianity and yet you don't follow it)/ this logic only applies to you. you worship a messenger of God (human) that eats and drinks etc...). Jews don't worship a human and there GOD is one.

  • @JAEAREONE Al-Maseeh Isa Ibn Maryam P.B.U.H

  • @JAEAREONE You do grasp that your Religion has been at war basically with Rome, with the Catholic Church, for those thousands years.. What is your point posting on here, to attack Muslims, if so how christian of you, Show me in the bible were it teaches you to insult others? Call other humans animals, because Jesus never believed that humans were animals, he taught brotherhood and peace. So why don't you actually read what Jesus taught, and act like a Christian, spread peace not hate!

  • @ASexyChef What is my Religion? You do not know what my beliefs are, I not even stated it nor have I made any comments that are religious based. You seriously are half crazy so far, I do not prescribe to any denomination or sect, or anything. Your rant what is your nationality? What right did the turks have, well they fucking took over apparently the country your ancestors were living in. So with history, they had the same right as the Romans did, the turks did this how long ago get over it

  • @icebergera Downvote on this comment.

  • Salaam, peoples.

  • Why Mr. Benschine ? Why ?

  • @KMJB16 tru dat

  • @dzarge7 You username is so obvious....STEVEN!

  • @Samuraikidd271 wat?

  • @dzarge7 Lulz

    You so dumb.

  • I just had a debate with a Muslim on Youtube. He eventually declared that Jesus was the son of a whore and that the slavery, rape and murder of non Muslims is justified by God. What a sick and evil religion. I have no sympathy for them.

  • @menacingshadows its either coz he wasnt really a muslim he was just pretending to be or he got so sick of you coz mayb u were closed-minded and at the end he told u wat u wanted to hear to shut u up ....but i believe its the first one though

  • @melesnawy I appreciate your reply. Actually he is a Muslim. His username is Alkindi90.

Your reply is essentially he is not a Muslim or it is justified. It shows that you have the same aggressive, insulting and ignorant attitude as he. Anyone who disagrees with you is close minded. That in itself is a very close minded stance.

I have noticed that you Muslims are all the same.

  • @melesnawy You believe that it is justified to insult the prophet of God, to shut someone up. Unfortunately I have yet to meet a Muslim who did not debase themselves in the name of their religion. In fact, they all seem confident that their religion approves such behavior.

Whatever the case may be, they will never admit wrongdoing by fellow Muslims, you are a prime example of that.

  • @menacingshadows i am sorry maybe i wasnt very clear....first of all, i'll be the first one to admit wrongdoing by fellow muslims, we are all humans we all make mistakes, and whoever doesnt agree with is simply stupid, second i disagree with anyone who insults jesus christ or any other prophet of god and to do so is blasphemous..and what i mean by saying " maybe u were closed-minded" is not coz u didnt agree with him, its mainly bcoz u were still judging him with the same prejudice that u got..

  • @melesnawy this is a follow up to my first comment: maybe u were judginn him with the same prejudice that u got from the media

lastly, i think u judged me too quickly based on one comment...and i hope u dont judge all muslim based on wat ur getting from the media...i think its better if u do ur own research and dont rely on one source coz there are some muslims out there who r not tellin the whole truth, or maybe they r jst telling the stuff u wanna hear.

    peace

  • @melesnawy Peace unto you as well. Please forgive me if my tone was abusive. I offer my respects to Islam, the Prophet Muhammad and you. I will take your point about listening to the media seriously. Thank you.

  • @menacingshadows You expect us to believe that, you clown?! Jesus is a Prophet in Islam, and the foretold Messiah. No Muslim wud ever say the shit ur just spewing.

Let me guess, ur a Zionist-jew, once again trying to spread lies to get ur Christian buddies to war against Muslims rite? Ur the parasite of the world, causing wars and now bankruptcy of the US.

  • @revolution4freedom1 If you do not like it, take it up with Alkindi90. Ask him if he is the evil zionist Jew in your conspiracy.

You can visit the video "Black Slaves, Red Masters Part 2" to see his comments about Jesus being the son of a whore, they are the highest rated.

I came here for honest clarification because I appreciate Islam and have received much vile and ignorant hatred for my troubles.

  • @menacingshadows If a Person Insults Isa(pbuh) or ass you call him Jesus (pbuh) he is not practicing Islam because in Islam it is forbidden to insult the Prophets of God we love Isa(pbuh) we also believe that he will come back and destroy the falser christ. We do not believe him as Allah. Allah is the name of God in the Arabic Lauange. We love all the prophets if anyone says they are a Muslim and insults Isa(pbuh) they are not doing what Allah has commanded of us

  • @michael713ify may Allah forgive me for the mistype it is as not that foul word I typed by accident

  • Very teaching Documentary. As for these non-factual peeing-contests below: Don't we see that we believe in one & the same GOD? That alone should unite us - NOT fighting each other. Do we need UFOs landing that we finally unite in togetherness? GOD & ALL his wonderful prophets are ashamed of our silliness - really! Don't believe me? Go & do a quiet prayer in your language and GOD will tell you. Leave the "fear each other" filled manipulations to the politicians - our ONENESS has no place for it

  • thank u mother nature for saving Europe!

  • I am soooo hoooked to this documentry its truely amazing :)

  • Awesome documentary all three parts

  • Wonderful documentary. Although some of it were slightly off regarding Muhammad SAW, the later part of it were all basically true to my opnion. Im not an expert in islamic history but I do have done my research from both non-Muslim & Muslim point of view.

On the COUNTLESS,ENDLESS & POINTLESS debates going on down there, can we just drop it and accept what others cant.

To the Muslims, let them be with their religion and us be of ours.

To the Haters, go & do ur research.

    salam

  • Islam and its empire would have moved further into Europe (beyond Hungry) and stayed but they started to lose what made them succesfull to begin with. That is their "Islam". See how they got influenced by deviant ideologies such as sufism and how they became "proud" (while all praise is due to Allah). And became so power hungry that they resorted to killing members of their own family. As their eman (faith), deen (religion) and ikhlas (purity) collapsed so did their rise to power!

  • @wiggyinc so true. i hope it's a lesson learned and it will serve the khilafah soon Insha"Allah.

  • 48:25 *sigh* :\

  • I m Turkish and let all serious people know don't take all this history too serious it's past even Suleyman went down what is the point of you showing you have the most borrowed knowledge over another person. I love all people including all colours religions etc. history is history ...

  • Also throughout they have described the Byzantine empire as 'aging' and 'crumbling', even in the first segment of this documentary set back in the 600s, 800 years before they would eventually fall to the Turks. The fall of Byzantium was far from inevitable.

Also in the last segment, (I'm saying all this because comments in the last two segments have been censored by the Muslim uploader) it is suggested the Crusades were unjustified. Can you imagine what would happen if the Kaaba was destroyed?

  • @93224956 that would not have been possible, the crusaders would not have been able to reach the Kaaba they would have got slaughtered. The muslims would have won if it came to that with the power of Allah swt

  • The bias in this documentary is absurd. Muslims would never make a documentary so biased to non-Muslims as this documentary is to them. The way the Mongols are portrayed in the last segment is particularly revolting, suggesting that they only became a positive influence after they had converted. There is nothing the Mongols did that the Muslims had not a few centuries earlier, and the way they upheld freedom of religion (before they converted) has never been matched by Muslims, even in Turkey.

  • Imagine a video about Mussolini, which praises him to the skies for making the trains run on schedule while hardly even mentioning his other deeds, which were not so positive.

This is what this video does regarding Ottoman empire.

  • Those wanting an unbeliever's take on the Ottoman Empire can find one on my channel.

  • What about The Ummaya Empire and The Abbasya Empire!!!

They focused on the Ottoman Empire more than the others!!!

I dont know why they did this?!

If anyone know a better Documentary about The Islamic Empires than this can you please give me the name..because this is a very concise documentary.

    thx

  • What about The Ummaya Empire and The Abbasya Empire!!!

If anyone know a better Documentary about The Islamic Empires than this can you give the name..because this is a very concise documentary.

    thx

  • They showed Turks as a bunch of Mongols and depicted Bursa which is famous for its greenness, fertility, forests as a dry desert city. All the Turkish characters were played by Indians, Persians, Arabs living in America. Almost all the costumes and architectural decorations in the film are wrong and don't resemble to real Ottoman clothes and buildings at those times.

If you would like to see a true depiction of Ottoman clothes and places at Suleiman Khan's time, watch that:

    /watch?v=1XCwGCIKD0Q

  • Great documentary.

  • Christianity always thrives under persecution, so here we are again at another cross road. Hatred brings fear, but perfect love cast all fear.

  • Definitely I respect this powerful group. But I wonder if Sulieman's descendants are still alive today.

  • All i hear is haters and bitches. Ottomas are the best!!!! They had the best army back then.

  • Ottomans, so much more barbaric and contemptible than the Khalifa, Abbasid, or even Umayaads. Casting aside the Islamic faith and tradition in favor of imperialism and power... Perhaps no one has done more to erode Christian-Muslim relations than the Ottoman Empire.

  • At the beggining ottomans were nothing more than barbarians. What is this nonsense about janissaries.Do you know how they were reqruited, grabbed from there families.....

  • Israek wont stop us, Turkey is again gaing power and in 10 years Israelis will once again acknowledge who is mightier!!!

    LONG LIVE TURKIYE

  • There is no objection to peace but to imperialist to stop the killing n accusing innocents from whose house a warrior is born to stop the evil. Ask Israhell to stop crime, americans and others alike. We hv no objection. Peace is our motto but not at the expense of getting blamed n killed. :)

  • it is interesting that they skip El Andalus kalifat to mention hehehe.....it is big minus for those who claim to talk about history of Islam.

  • @timur1lenk oh yeah al andelus...try ms. Hughes when Muslims ruled in Europe....a beautiful investigation/presentation of what was happening at the other end of the mediterrainian...

also if you dig deep enough on utuube....there is some wonderful music that refers to al andelus.. coming out of morrocco...

  • Ramadan Greetings to all my muslim brothers

  • alls i know is mehmed? had some huge cannons for a follower of "the religon of peace". I am joking around.

  • RAMADAN MOBARAK TO EVERYONE.

  • It is Ramadan starting on Monday, (according to most Imams I hear.) Why don't you folks put away your Kalishnikovs, Rocket Launchers, Suicide Vests etc. and do your fast, read your Book, and re-think things....Salaam al Alekum (?)

  • @aikigeorge3 :: And why don't u mind ur own business at home itself instead of digging hole where muslims are there ? And also why don't u sit in class and read history a little about urself ? Stupid people are abundant here!!

  • @Tahirmahmood5 Item, when my friends are being killed, and killing themselves, it is my business Rafiki.

Item, The fast is meant for reflection. Item, the AK's and especially the Suicide Vests are not working for you.

Item, stupidity abounds everywhere I agree. One of the stupidist things is spending all this money killing folks that did not need killling. Item, What is so objectionable about peace?

  • And the most important thing to notice here is that this documentary has been made by a non-muslim production house* and when the crusaders entered jerusalem they not only killed all the muslims but also the christians and on the onther hand when hazrat salahuddin ( R.E) re-conquered jerusalem he allowed the christians to preach even after knowing what the crusaders had done in the name of god!

This is 'REAL ISLAM' i hope Allah soon gives us rulers like Salahuddin ( R.E)

  • @wishmeback AMEEEEEN may ALLAH lead us back to true islam and give us the strength to restore islam's former glory yaaarab

  • Stop fighting guys! we ( muslims ) need not say anything, you can see from all the parts of the documentary that muslims never liked killing no matter what it was, what land they conquered, all the other religions were allowed to preach their own religion with out any interference from the muslim rulers and even the mongols who had killed muslims in 100's thousands before accepting islam whn they reverted they not only build masjids but also allowed the christians to follow theirs!

  • Again gun powder was invented but Chinese. It was just refined/improved by Arabs...

  • why do people refer to constantinople as istanbul when it was in ottoman rule? The ottomans called it Constantinople!

  • i hate muslims and i love that we kill them every day in iraq and afghan ...

  • @thegodofwar2009 that cos u are narrow minded and stupid. (I'm christian for your info) what a retarded comment.

  • @itsme5472 get raped

  • @thegodofwar2009 whatever. I feel nothing but pitty for your stupid ignorant ass.

  • @itsme5472 its pity not pitty...dumb shit

  • @thegodofwar2009 me too! i think the us goverment should ban all military service to muslims and 3rd world trash. its ridiculous that our soldiers lives should be potentially threatened from terrorists in our own uniforms, allowed in the name of pc drivel from unamerican citizens.

  • 5 stars documentary...great

  • Roxalana!!!They recruited girls too.What a great culture!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Recruited!!!!!!!!I wish somebody recruited your child in that manner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This makes me hate Islam and the empires even more.

  • @PhiloAmericana so you ignore the part where they allowed everyone to get on with their lives and traditions....unlike all the non-muslim empires.... Christianity was spread by sword.....go take a look at history rather then blindly follow what people or elements around you ask you too:)

  • @chuchulora Islam was also spread by the sword, and non-believers were treated like second-class citizens. Now, that may have been something of an improvement in the era in which Islam began, it's not an improvement in the modern era. I've spent time trying to learn how Islam spread, what sort of cultures it replaced, and what sort of effect it had. While it was an improvement in 622, it isn't now. It leads a culture into stagnation, making it inflexible.

  • @PhiloAmericana i dont agree..Islamic empires were spread by swords but not the religion it self..although it would be wrong if i say muslims were always fair....like turning churches into mosques is not allowed in Islam but the ottomans did it...I think it would be safer to say that the muslim empires didnt always follow islamic teachings when it came to war...Also in my opinion Islam did lead and still could help one achieve greatness if interpreted in the rightway :)

  • @chuchulora Well, I must admit, I'm not much of a cutural relativist, and can't hold on traditions and practices with equal regard. Westerners have largely rejected religious authority in favor the rationalist and empirical tradtions. It's these traditions that have brought billions out of poverty, provided technological advances never before known to man, as well as extending life for the average person by a number of decades.

  • @chuchulora Let's take my country, the United States, and Saudi Arabia as examples regarding cultural tolerance. According to the United States Census, there are 1209 mosques in the country. As far as I know, there isn't a single church in Saudi Arabia. Also, according to the United States Census data, Muslims in America on average tend to be as wealthy, if not wealthier than their counterpart.

  • @chuchulora In contradiction, Christians in Egypt tend to be very poor, many defined as Zabbaleen, or the 'garbage people'. They're under constant threat, and routinely attacked and killed. These people often live in neighborhoods constructed and surrounded with trash and waste.

  • @PhiloAmericana now lets come to your point where Christians are not being treated well......very sad and very wrong but have you forgotten the daily massacre of muslims in kashmir, palestine, chechnya and many other places.....The west proudly calls India a democratic state....In 2002 muslims were massacred in gujrat with the permission of the chief minster.....the point im trying to make IS tht this is the difference between the first world and third world countires and not between religions etc

  • @PhiloAmericana As for the churches in saudia yes i think there are none....but they are all allowed religious freedom and practices with in the 4 walls of their respective embassy....plus in Dahran and other cities where expectriate communtiy is in larger no. i was told tht there are churches or mayb just a simple building for religious practices im not sure :)

so my friend i still say there is no ture islamic country but yes alot of country with muslims.......

  • @chuchulora According to Ragui Assaad, "the streets were so stacked with heaps of assorted refuse that some of them could not be located. The air was heavily polluted by the smoke generated from fires that were either lit deliberately to dispose of unwanted waste, or resulted from the spontaneous combustion of organic residues.” There have been frequent fires in Moqattam, two of which were particularly severe and devastated the settlement.

  • @chuchulora In Marsa Matrouh, a mob of 3,000 Muslims attacked the city's Coptic population, with 400 Copts having to barricade themselves in their church while the mob destroyed 18 homes, 23 shops and 16 cars.In May 2010, The Wall Street Journal reported increasing "waves of mob assaults" by Muslims against Copts, forcing many Christians to flee their homes.Despite frantic calls for help, the police typically arrived after the violence was over.

  • @PhiloAmericana by mistakes i mainly refer to the the middle ages....so tell me how is US better then any muslim country after what it did in Iraq....killing civilians and doing everything that your own laws donot allow:)

  • @chuchulora I think the mistakes have continued for centuries, they exist across the region, and we the see the effects in retarding the progress from Morrocco to Indonesia. Yes, it's true that America's involvement in Iraq wasn't helpful, but then, you don't find stability anywhere in the region. Whether it's Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Oman, Sudan, Somalia, etc, etc. But domestically, you see a great deal of stability in the west. Democratic liberalism in these societies have produced great results.

  • @PhiloAmericana OOh so u clame to love democracy.....and have supported mubarak for how many years even until the last day just to protect the illegal state of israel...that you had no right what so ever to establish....other then tht you support musharaf because u need him on ur war on terror.....u supported saddam until he was no longer usefull and then gaddafi and then the royals in other states for oil money.....dont be a hypocrite when you call upon democracy....

  • @chuchulora I do love democracy, but I am not a complete idealist. Listen, without democratic traditions in place, it simply will not work for a society. Afghanistan and Iraq are examples of this. So, what is a country to do when it needs to trade? Your only options are dictators. So, we pick the dictator most suitable to trade. There is no real democratic option in the Middle East. Though, the neoconservatives were democratic revolutionaries, we saw how that worked out.

  • @chuchulora What is going on in the Middle East is an attempt to create and maintain trade stability. Now, that is best done through supporting liberal states because they are the most stable form of government. But when that tradition is lacking, and when the democratic revolutionaries fail, we have to support whatever leader we can. Look at Egypt, they are an example. They revolted, some for the sake of democracy, but how did it end? The Muslim Brotherhood is in power.

  • @PhiloAmericana The Muslim brotherhood is not in power! You don't know what u r talking about! There will be elections, it's not done yet!

  • @kimokamal5 I'll make sure to put this in my favorites and come back after the 'elections'. I have a feeling I'm going to get a good laugh at this.

  • @PhiloAmericana I don't support The Muslim BH and I wish they never win cause they might turn Egypt into another Iran! But they (Muslim BH) said that they will not run for president which is a good thing so I hope they will keep their word!

  • @kimokamal5 Me too. Really, I just want there to be enough time for the secular parties to organize sufficiently so they can get their say in. The Muslim Brotherhood has had decades to organize. They're going to be difficult to challenge.

  • @PhiloAmericana I agree, Egypt and the whole region need a secular society , enough time has been wasted. If Egypt didn't do it then the whole region will plunge into the abyss and will never surface. But u must remember that Europe took centuries of trial and error to get to where they are today so I don't think Egypt will make it over night, yet nothing is impossible!

  • @kimokamal5 Of course, often it's a very slow process. I'm hoping the military can act in a role similar to Turkey's military. I've heard distressing views regarding a growing Salafi movement in Egypt. So, it's all a bit worrying. Egypt's revolution honestly reminds me alot of Iran's revolution. In Iran, you had your secular groups, the fundamentalists, etc. The problem with both Egypt and Iran is that the religious groups are just far more organized and have a wider base of support.

  • @PhiloAmericana I hope the army will intervene too, BUT that's not democracy if an elected body is removed by the army, or is it?!!!!!!

  • @chuchulora Now, the Muslim Brotherhood is not going to open Egypt up, and it's not going to be beneficial. Already, tourism is shot, and the economy is in a terrible mess. It's likely Egypt will become increasingly theocratic, repressive, and static in its nature. This is bad for Egypt, it's bad for the region, and it's bad for the world. It reflects a lack of a democratic ethos in Egypt, and that can be said of most of the region. They lack those traditions.

  • @chuchulora They don't know how to be democratic or liberal in their character. They don't know how to structure institutions that can garner that ethos, and maintain it. So, the west has little option with regards to policy in the region. Should the west just give up its involvement in the region? We really cannot do so. To do so, we'd have to give up so much oil, that our societies would collapse. This would lead to billions across the world plunging right back into poverty.

  • @chuchulora These countries are the most technologically and scientifically developed. They tend to have the best health outcomes for their citizenry. They have the best schools in the world, and lead in nearly ever field. The west has literally pulled billions out of poverty through its economic, social, and political philosophies. It's because of the west that we have electricity, telecommunications, the microprocessor, and the computer, and the internet.

  • @chuchulora That's how we're able to have a dialogue thousands of miles away from one another. A society must be open for this sort of development to occur. Without the west, we'd literally be living in great poverty. Religious traditionalism often puts far too many limits on the individual, and on society as a whole. It keeps them from being creative, from expressing themselves without challenge.

  • @chuchulora When you can take away the extreme and overwhelming forms of religious authority, you are able to achieve so much. Did you know that in the United States, we are now literally printing out organs? We are synthetically creating body parts, organs, bones, and tissue for patients, genetically-matched. The only reason we can do this is because we remain open to science, liberty, and philosophy.

  • @chuchulora The police also coerced the Copts to accept "reconciliation" with their attackers to avoid prosecuting them, with no Muslims convicted for any of the attacks.

  • @chuchulora You can mention Cordoba and Baghdad, but these were exceptions to the general culture, and represent a break from tradition. Essentially, they were absorbing Pagan traditions, through the Greeks - a humanist tradition. During that time, and especially afterwards, these writings were considered dangerous, and are considered dangerous today. Secular humanism is looked down upon in the Islamic world.

  • @PhiloAmericana you can say the same thing about secularism and the west...they look down upon not only islam but all religions...i have lived in UK and I know how people there, not only look down upon anything they dont agree with but also religion in general....it could also be because i always ended up debating with these sort of people but my experience wasnot really good.....

  • @PhiloAmericana You shouldn't hate anybody or anything for that matter! u will just waste ur life and energy in HATE and in the end u will destroy only urself.

  • that's not Hungary...that's Serbia and Bulgaria and part of modern Romania.

  • Mene, Mene, Tekel u-Pharsin !

  • Too bad Ottomans could never take on the great Safavid Empire of Iran. They tried many times but they failed, The Shia Safavid empire of Iran was and empire highly feared by the Ottomans, this documentary fails to show that historical fact as Sunni Ottomans and Shia Safavids fought many bloody battles.

  • @Hafez21hafez21 Your an idiot.

  • Sunnis & Christians have long history of war between each other. 38:44 they were Azaris who spoke Turkic as well as Persian but they were not TURKISH like Ottomans, they were Azaris who are an Iranian ethnic group who's Capital was in the heart of Iran. 39:24 according to Shia's anybody can be a community leader but when it comes to religion we should only follow the true successors of the Prophet, Ali is first and Mahdi is the last (12 Imams). Savafids were one of the great Persian empires.

  • where is the other parts?

  • Belgrade is in Serbia, not Hungary.

  • @hjerkovi In the time of Sulaman it was in Hungary.

  • thank you for sharing..

  • They were recruiting children from Balkans??? Idiotic!!! They were coming to Serbian villages and took the "blood tax", children that were between age of 4-6, they put in caravans. Children who survived the trip became Janissary, elite Turkish infantry. That is not recruitment but kidnapping! This lady really likes them I can see... There are many stories about that from that period... :(

  • @pikador81 althought i mostly agree with you, what she said about them getting the best education, and getting looked after really well is true, not everyone can become a janisarry but the ones who did were lucky and also the smart ones are lucky aswell,

  • After watching a few episodes, I wonder how grown adults can present history without any glimpse of criticism without touching on peoples daily lives " Now the curch was a mosque" and now the country was in muslim hands. A perfect ferrytale for those who seek one.
