@GvilleGhost cuase serious injury. look to the examples of heroin feats of strength done by common everyday people in a crisis situatuon. they do things that are impossible under normal circumstances, but in a crisis they do it. the gear is allowing the brain to register protection from injury and therefore allowing for greater strength. you act as if the gear has hydraulics and is somehow doing the work for her. no matter how great the suit or shirt you still have to be able to move the wt.

@tdgarguile first off she uses bench shirts, and squat suits aka they are not real raw presses/squats. Yes she is strong but im sick of people feeling likethe shit with all this bullcrap of equipment. Shes a very dedicated person but stop riding her jock and hit the gym yourself.
@GvilleGhost I do hit the gym. do what she is capable of doing, raw or otherwise, and then come back. I was born w/ a congenital birth defect of the spine and hips so gear is more essential for me, but for anyone desiring greater longevity, look to protective gear. Also, a little anatomy and physiology lesson that you can look up and prove for yourself, every muscle fiber in the human body is capable of pulling 50#s by itself but cannot due to the brains' ability to register the fact that this
@tdgarguile It actually has been proven that a Belt does not help you in lifting it only covers a already weak core. Yes i understand your defect but for all others which im pretty sure are not in your situation essentially are weakening themselves and lifting way more than they should.
laura phelps already is the greatest powerlifter. A: she's a woman and men are supposed to have greater strength for having more muscle mass ( im a guy so im allowed to say this). B: she weighs 165#s and squats 741#s which is basically 4.5 times her body weight! the guys she's working out with if they weigh 250 ( and im willing to bet that they weigh more than that) and are squtting 1000#s are doing only 4 times their bodyweight. pound for pound she is one of the strongest people on the planet.
Laura Phelps and Shawn Frankl... best p for p lifters. I can't believe what either one of them has done.

@tdgarguile Its a pity she lifts equipped, if raw we could really tell how strong she is instead of those artificially raised numbers you quote

She's very attractive.

I think Laura may very well turn out to be pound for pound one of the best powerlifters of all time.
Quite a statement I know.

I agree 100%. She's not even 30, and she is undoubtedly the strongest female ever.
