How sad is it to bring jubilent audiences to their feet night after night after having had their evening filled with joy, laughter, heart and soul? The audience responds with the kind of excitement you can find at a rock show< I know, I was there. There is no greater satisfaction for an artist than to touch peoples lives with what they love to do & that's what they're doing. How is it any better to have to perform for stiff, snobby, slightly amused audiences with tepid responses at the opera?

Given their druthers, I'll bet these fine singers would rather be at the Met! Opera audiences where I've been in attendance, or playing in the orchestra pit, have been anything but "stiff, snobby of slightly amused". Have you ever actually attended an opera?

I actually have an international career as a Heldentenor and have been a professional opera singer for 20 years and have actually played many times in the orchestra pit...so yes, I've attended an opera :) What makes you think that none of these fine singers weren't at the Met? You obviously haven't done one bit of research. The creator of 3RT actually WAS at the Met. So, given his druthers, he made the choice to leave the Met after creating the 3RT show, and is having the time of his life now.

@lbocaner There are many reasons people sing. Self joy. Just to show what they can do. To entertain people and make them happy. Many reasons more too.

These guys are ABSOLUTE the best act going! They make Tuna Texas seem a waste of time and I love Tuna Texas. All of these guys are professionally trained opera singers and have sung with world famous opera houses. It's like Larry the Cable Guy goes to the Metropolitan Opera!
