your numbers are far from being accurate. 300 to 500 thousand Armenians fought with the soviets against the Germans. The "Armenische Legion" you are referring to was made mostly of Red Army POWs who opted to fight rather than face the conditions of POW camps. That being said, there were a few thousands who joined as sympathizers in hope this will bring a free homeland. Either way, the number is nowhere near the figures you're quoting. On the topic of forced migration of Armenians living in Eastern Anatolia (not the Armenians living in Western Anatolia) along with many other ethnicities including Turks were was forcefully migrated. Due to extreme harsh cold and disease 400 thousand Armenians died along with 300 thousand Turks.. So the number of 1.5 million Armenians died is incorrect. As a matter of fact total number of Armenians living in entire Ottoman territories 950,000 before the war.

your numbers are far from being accurate. 300 to 500 thousand Armenians fought with the soviets against the Germans. The "Armenische Legion" you are referring to was made mostly of Red Army POWs who opted to fight rather than face the conditions of POW camps. That being said, there were a few thousands who joined as sympathizers in hope this will bring a free homeland. Either way, the number is nowhere near the figures you're quoting. Also look up "Turkestanisch legion"
