@paspartu08 The epicenter was Golcuk but the seismologists said that two simultaneous earthquakes happened at the same time, with the second epicenter in Adapazari.
I was 10 at the time, and I was visiting family in Izmit. I survived the quake, now I live in America. The memories will never fade, I learned from the experience, Always be prepared for the worst. Emergency plans are always important no matter where you are.
I was also 10, visiting my relatives in Eskisehir. It was not a part of Turkey that got hit a great deal, but a building 2 blocks away did fall. I also live in America.
Looks like we have had similar fates these past years.

I was 5 tears old then and i was in istanbul when it happend don´t remember the actually earthquake but I remember thing from after.
