This is one of the saddest Sonic songs I ever heard, and I have no reason to hate Elise or the game. I guess some people hate 06 because it never happened. I was really ticked and still am today that 06 never happened, it was like one of the best Sonic games ever, yet it never happened, that's the only grudge I hold against the game, but yelling and complaining ain't gonna do anything. So, I will always love this game, and Elise. No matter what you mother ***ers say.

(also Elise's name comes from a misspelled version of Sally's middle name) and that simply Sega for got about that kiss, and it slipped by,
That is just a big complete lie. Sonic Team have stated that they hate Sally Acorn and the Archie exlusive characters. Those are just small similarities that don't amount to anything. You are the one who started that rumor. Princess Elise and Sally have completely different personalities. Sally is a tomboy and sarcastic, while Elise is delecate and timid.

@pkstarstorm1up Yeah, not a lot of people did. I fell through more floors, lost more control, and lost more patience with Sonic colors then even Sonic heroes. And that was SEGA's first attempt at dumbing Sonic down.
No, neither SEGA nor Sonic Team like the Archies. But Sonic Team have no say in it. They're just the hired hands for developing the games. They don't even get to decide what the game stories are, much less the comics. It's true, though, that SEGA are milking Archies for money.

@pkstarstorm1up I have been tolerant enough to explain this before, and I will do it once more. SEGA are the publishers and the ones with all the licensing. They write the stories, they write the scripts, they compose the music, and they hire and conduct the voice acting. Sonic Team are given a list of instructions like ALL developers that they must follow. And Sonic X is not canon. It was overseen by Sonic Team who were in turn overseen by SEGA. I don't want a fight, but my patience is wearing.

But yes Sonic X is canon because it and most of it's characters were made by Sonic Team. Please look it up because any wikia website will state that Sonic Team created Sonic X and that Chris and Cosmo were characters created by Sonic Team.
@pkstarstorm1up Sonic X wasn't created by Sonic Team. It was created by TMS Entertainment. SEGA and Sonic Team were involved, but they're not the creators. The games are canon, not the TV show. For example, SEGA created and Sonic Team developed the Storybooks, but they're still not canon. And no again, SEGA are the licenseholders. They are in control. That's how all video games are made. Publishers are responsible for what goes into a game, developers are the ones who develop it with computers.
Okay look I'm sorry but I have to call you out on your nonsence. First off Sonic Team creates the games, the storylines, the graphics, and the level designs. They hire people to compose the music. Sega only publishes the games. Sega has nothing to due with the games other than the fact that it they are made by a group in their company. 2. Sonic X was made by Sonic Team. Every episode, every character, every plot was created by Sonic Team thus making it a linked continuity with the games.

@radicalcrash Yes I do. I love this game too. I think it is one of Sonic's finest 3D games but I don't make things up to excuse the problems it does have. And there is nothing wrong with having a double jump in a Sonic game nor were the wisps annoying or bad. They added alot to the game. Sonic Colors regardless of bad dialouge and corny jokes is one of the best 3D Sonic games. The story itself wasn't bad it was just the out of place jokes that made it seem that way.

Check this out: Amy's double jump not only works right, but it actually adds some height. Colors' doesn't. Colors causes more deaths then it saves, "you know". You absolutely never NEED to use the double jump in 06 (or colors), anyway, so why replace the traditional jump dash?
I've never said that Colors was a bad game. Sure I think the story is weak and the jokes are corny but the gameplay which is the core aspect of the game is very good and is alot of fun to play. I never had any problem with the double jump so are you sure you didn't get a scratched copy or something? You gain a little bit of height with Color's double jump (Nowhere near as much as Amy's but you still gain some height), uh the jump dash is in colors. you just press the B button after jumping.
@pkstarstorm1up It's not even close to fun. In the beginning, you run in a straight line during 3D. Then it turns to 2.5D and it's too hard to see, too badly designed. I'm willing to bet they hired monkeys to set up the platforming. Seriously. It sucks that bad.
Right, you gain 1/10th of an inch doing a double jump, if that. And no, when you jump and press B, you do a jump BOOST, not a jump DASH.
Well no one else but you (not even the biased reviewers Excluding GameTrailers) have had any problems with bad platforming or cheap deaths so I'm under the assumption that you just hated the game because of it's storyline and humor so you claim that the gameplay and music are bad as well. While story is important it isn't the most important thing to a game. ........They both work exactly the same regardless of any name difference. Be honest, you only like 06 because of it's story don't you?
@pkstarstorm1up I said bad level design, not cheap deaths. The biggest problem with the game is it's boring. I could very well accuse the same thing, since 06 is perfectly easy to play, despite the "reviews". They aren't the same. Jump boost is like in Sonic Unleashed. Jump dash is like in Sonic Adventure, 2, Heroes, Shadow, and 06. Jump boost in uncontrollable. Jump dash is super controllable. Actually, I like 06 because of its epic story, smooth feel, excellent soundtrack, and sharp graphics.

The squrriel that the SOA manuals called Sally is actually a male squrriel named Ricky who appeared in multiple games as cameos and appeared in five episodes of Sonic X. Princess Sally Acorn doesn't exist in the games.

I know what happened, and what happened is SEGA and Sonic Team were trying to find a direction to go in. They purposefully intended for Sonic to have a romantic affair with a human princess for a variety of reasons, but the number one reason was because they wanted to see if furry was Sonic's crowd or not.

I agree with you about the story (Not a horrible story but not good either), and the humor (I thought that the jokes were funny but most of them were out of place) but I felt that gameplay was better than it had been in a long time. The gameplay to me is better than Heroes's Shadow's, Secret Rings, and Black Knight's.

@pkstarstorm1up The gameplay was just miraculously bad. In 3D the game was first too easy, then too difficult. The 2.5D shouldn't even be there at all, but since it is, it's WAY too overused. Both have TERRIBLE controls and some impossible camera angles with no control of it. You can't turn at ALL in colors. And the physics are shit. The double jump is useless. And whose brilliant idea was THAT? A double jump in a Sonic game. Heroes is bad, Storybooks are so-so, but Shadow's better then colors.
I'm okay with Sonic x Elise. Well, i would be if the game had been polished and didn't suck so hard. It could of been a perfect Sonic game if they'd just developed it more.

@pkstarstorm1up The fact you're even discussing Sonic and who he loves shows what's wrong with this game. Sonic the Hedgehog is not a love story, it's meant to be an action platformer with a light hearted tone, a simple plot and with a focus on gameplay. That's the game's problem; it concentrates so much on this pointless relationship between Sonic and Elise and trying to be some kind of Final Fantasy game that it forgets what made Sonic so much fun in the first place.
@bubba106 Nope. Sonic games are better with a deep and complicated plot. It makes it very enjoyable and no there is nothing wrong with this game. Sonic is just as fun in this game as he is in Adventure. The 2d games don't have enough of an epic storyline in them for them to be as enjoyable.

It's full of glitches, the controls are mediocre at best, the loading times are abysmal, the town missions are pointless, the story is FILLED with plotholes, Sonic is SLOW in this game compared with the others, Silver is probably the worst received character in Sonic history, and the dialogue is cringeworthy at times.
The music is great, and I can sympathise with the game being rushed, but that doesn't excuse awful writing and plotholes.
You only encounter most of the glitches if you are trying to find them so you can't complain about them, the controls are very solid and great, the town stages are very fun to explore, there are no plotholes in this game, Sonic is just as fast as he always had been up to that point, Silver is a great character, the dialogue is not cringeworthy, you must be thinking of Secret Rings dialouge. The game is very great and the only bad things about it are the load times and camera angles.
@pkstarstorm1up Search "Sonic 06 Story Screw-Ups" into Youtube (don't say you can't find it, just copy and paste what's in the speech marks, it works for me) and I defy you to argue with any of them. Many of them are nitpicks sure, but they all contribute to the grand scheme of things.
If you like the game, that's fine it's your opinion, but don't say the game doesn't have any plotholes because that's unarguable. And Sonic IS slower than most other games, if you can't notice that I pity you.
Those don't count. and anyway it's a time travel story, of course it's going to have a few minor plotholes, it's no big deal. but no he isn't slower. His mach speed sections are the first time we see Sonic at his true speed. plus speed isn't all Sonic is about, he's also about platforming and since this game is basically Sonic Adventure 3 we got plenty of it. I really like Elise and I hope that she appears again. I also hope that Chris Thorndyke and Cosmo make it into the games as well.

@abc2390986 I have played this game and I've beaten it, it wasn't frustrating at all. It was alot of fun. This game is the equvilant of Sonic Adventure 3. It's that awesome! The story, the characters, the music, the graphics, and the gameplay were all fantastic! The only complaints I have about this game are the loading times, and the screwy camera issues, but everything else about it is perfect!
@pkstarstorm1up Fantastic graphics?! As one of the early 7th generation video game, you should expect Sonic 2006's graphic to be terrible, because back in the days developers had too little information about the consoles( Xbox360, PS3), so they won't be able to utilize the graphics perfectly, it's not their fault though, other early next gen games have inferior graphics as well. But just face the truth, still, Sonic 2006's graphic does suck following the standard in 2011.

@pkstarstorm1up I admit the CG cutscenes are good, but the actual game models are just horrible. Just compare Elise's character models in the cutscenes to the one in the gameplay, there're just too much differences between them.
@abc2390986 The game models are very nice! They are much better then Shadow the Hedgehog's game models. and she looks good in both the cutscenes and in game models. Sure the graphics aren't as good as Unleashed's are but they are still much better then most graphics in games nowadays are.

Yes there are other examples of human/animal relationships in other games, but not to the extent of Sonic 06. It was essentially a love story for goodness sake. Most other examples have just been used for light comedy (apart from Shadow and Maria, which I've never liked)

I watched the cut scenes from this and the only thing I can come up with that isn't super freaky is, that she loves Sonic the way we love Sonic - he's this cool little creature thing that saves the day but we all know he's not a romantic figure, he's just this magical being who makes us all happy and smile. I look at it like that, like Sonic is like a strange fantasy being who saves people and is fun and reminds us of our childhoods. That's how she loves him. That's my er, synopsis?

That is just a big complete lie. Sonic Team have stated that they hate Sally Acorn and the Archie exlusive characters. Those are just small similarities that don't amount to anything. You are the one who started that rumor. Princess Elise and Sally have completely different personalities. Sally is a tomboy and sarcastic, while Elise is delecate and timid.

@pkstarstorm1up Yeah, not a lot of people did. I fell through more floors, lost more control, and lost more patience with Sonic colors then even Sonic heroes. And that was SEGA's first attempt at dumbing Sonic down.
No, neither SEGA nor Sonic Team like the Archies. But Sonic Team have no say in it. They're just the hired hands for developing the games. They don't even get to decide what the game stories are, much less the comics. It's true, though, that SEGA are milking Archies for money.

@pkstarstorm1up I have been tolerant enough to explain this before, and I will do it once more. SEGA are the publishers and the ones with all the licensing. They write the stories, they write the scripts, they compose the music, and they hire and conduct the voice acting. Sonic Team are given a list of instructions like ALL developers that they must follow. And Sonic X is not canon. It was overseen by Sonic Team who were in turn overseen by SEGA. I don't want a fight, but my patience is wearing.

But yes Sonic X is canon because it and most of it's characters were made by Sonic Team. And I'm not trying to call you a liar or anything but it's Sonic Team who make the games, the settings, the stories, and the characters. Sega is just the company that they are a part of that publishes the games. Please look it up because any wikia website will state that Sonic Team created Sonic X and that Chris and Cosmo were characters created by Sonic Team.

@pkstarstorm1up Sonic X wasn't created by Sonic Team. It was created by TMS Entertainment. SEGA and Sonic Team were involved, but they're not the creators. The games are canon, not the TV show. For example, SEGA created and Sonic Team developed the Storybooks, but they're still not canon. And no again, SEGA are the licenseholders. They are in control. That's how all video games are made. Publishers are responsible for what goes into a game, developers are the ones who develop it with computers.

Every episode, every character, every plot was created by Sonic Team thus making it a linked continuity with the games.

@radicalcrash Yes I do. I love this game too. I think it is one of Sonic's finest 3D games but I don't make things up to excuse the problems it does have. And there is nothing wrong with having a double jump in a Sonic game nor were the wisps annoying or bad. They added alot to the game. Sonic Colors regardless of bad dialouge and corny jokes is one of the best 3D Sonic games. The story itself wasn't bad it was just the out of place jokes that made it seem that way.

Check this out: Amy's double jump not only works right, but it actually adds some height. Colors' doesn't. Colors causes more deaths then it saves, "you know". You absolutely never NEED to use the double jump in 06 (or colors), anyway, so why replace the traditional jump dash?

I've never said that Colors was a bad game. Sure I think the story is weak and the jokes are corny but the gameplay which is the core aspect of the game is very good and is alot of fun to play. I never had any problem with the double jump so are you sure you didn't get a scratched copy or something? You gain a little bit of height with Color's double jump (Nowhere near as much as Amy's but you still gain some height), uh the jump dash is in colors. you just press the B button after jumping.

@pkstarstorm1up It's not even close to fun. In the beginning, you run in a straight line during 3D. Then it turns to 2.5D and it's too hard to see, too badly designed. I'm willing to bet they hired monkeys to set up the platforming. Seriously. It sucks that bad.
Right, you gain 1/10th of an inch doing a double jump, if that. And no, when you jump and press B, you do a jump BOOST, not a jump DASH.

Well no one else but you (not even the biased reviewers Excluding GameTrailers) have had any problems with bad platforming or cheap deaths so I'm under the assumption that you just hated the game because of it's storyline and humor so you claim that the gameplay and music are bad as well. While story is important it isn't the most important thing to a game. ........They both work exactly the same regardless of any name difference. Be honest, you only like 06 because of it's story don't you?

@pkstarstorm1up I said bad level design, not cheap deaths. The biggest problem with the game is it's boring. I could very well accuse the same thing, since 06 is perfectly easy to play, despite the "reviews". They aren't the same. Jump boost is like in Sonic Unleashed. Jump dash is like in Sonic Adventure, 2, Heroes, Shadow, and 06. Jump boost in uncontrollable. Jump dash is super controllable. Actually, I like 06 because of its epic story, smooth feel, excellent soundtrack, and sharp graphics.

@emotrainer4444 Yes she is. The only game she has appeared in is Sonic Spinball which isn't canon since it wasn't made by Sonic Team. There is no Japanese version of Sally. The squrriel that the SOA manuals called Sally is actually a male squrriel named Ricky who appeared in multiple games as cameos and appeared in five episodes of Sonic X. Princess Sally Acorn doesn't exist in the games.

I know what happened, and what happened is SEGA and Sonic Team were trying to find a direction to go in. They purposefully intended for Sonic to have a romantic affair with a human princess for a variety of reasons, but the number one reason was because they wanted to see if furry was Sonic's crowd or not.

Thanks man that's means alot. If I may ask though what was it about Colors's Gameplay that you didn't like? I agree with you about the story (Not a horrible story but not good either), and the humor (I thought that the jokes were funny but most of them were out of place) but I felt that gameplay was better than it had been in a long time. The gameplay to me is better than Heroes's Shadow's, Secret Rings, and Black Knight's.

@pkstarstorm1up The gameplay was just miraculously bad. In 3D the game was first too easy, then too difficult. The 2.5D shouldn't even be there at all, but since it is, it's WAY too overused. Both have TERRIBLE controls and some impossible camera angles with no control of it. You can't turn at ALL in colors. And the physics are shit. The double jump is useless. And whose brilliant idea was THAT? A double jump in a Sonic game. Heroes is bad, Storybooks are so-so, but Shadow's better then colors.

@pkstarstorm1up The fact you're even discussing Sonic and who he loves shows what's wrong with this game. Sonic the Hedgehog is not a love story, it's meant to be an action platformer with a light hearted tone, a simple plot and with a focus on gameplay. That's the game's problem; it concentrates so much on this pointless relationship between Sonic and Elise and trying to be some kind of Final Fantasy game that it forgets what made Sonic so much fun in the first place.

@bubba106 Nope. Sonic games are better with a deep and complicated plot. It makes it very enjoyable and no there is nothing wrong with this game. Sonic is just as fun in this game as he is in Adventure. The 2d games don't have enough of an epic storyline in them for them to be as enjoyable.

It's full of glitches, the controls are mediocre at best, the loading times are abysmal, the town missions are pointless, the story is FILLED with plotholes, Sonic is SLOW in this game compared with the others, Silver is probably the worst received character in Sonic history, and the dialogue is cringeworthy at times.
The music is great, and I can sympathise with the game being rushed, but that doesn't excuse awful writing and plotholes.

You only encounter most of the glitches if you are trying to find them so you can't complain about them, the controls are very solid and great, the town stages are very fun to explore, there are no plotholes in this game, Sonic is just as fast as he always had been up to that point, Silver is a great character, the dialogue is not cringeworthy, you must be thinking of Secret Rings dialouge. The game is very great and the only bad things about it are the load times and camera angles.

@pkstarstorm1up Search "Sonic 06 Story Screw-Ups" into Youtube (don't say you can't find it, just copy and paste what's in the speech marks, it works for me) and I defy you to argue with any of them. Many of them are nitpicks sure, but they all contribute to the grand scheme of things.
If you like the game, that's fine it's your opinion, but don't say the game doesn't have any plotholes because that's unarguable. And Sonic IS slower than most other games, if you can't notice that I pity you.

Those don't count. and anyway it's a time travel story, of course it's going to have a few minor plotholes, it's no big deal. but no he isn't slower. His mach speed sections are the first time we see Sonic at his true speed. plus speed isn't all Sonic is about, he's also about platforming and since this game is basically Sonic Adventure 3 we got plenty of it. I really like Elise and I hope that she appears again. I also hope that Chris Thorndyke and Cosmo make it into the games as well.

@abc2390986 I have played this game and I've beaten it, it wasn't frustrating at all. It was alot of fun. This game is the equvilant of Sonic Adventure 3. It's that awesome! The story, the characters, the music, the graphics, and the gameplay were all fantastic! The only complaints I have about this game are the loading times, and the screwy camera issues, but everything else about it is perfect!

As one of the early 7th generation video game, you should expect Sonic 2006's graphic to be terrible, because back in the days developers had too little information about the consoles( Xbox360, PS3), so they won't be able to utilize the graphics perfectly, it's not their fault though, other early next gen games have inferior graphics as well. But just face the truth, still, Sonic 2006's graphic does suck following the standard in 2011.

It doesn't seem to be a taboo for HumanxMobian since many human males have adimitted having the hots for Rouge, plus that one bossy girl in Sonic Unleashed Xbox and ps3 version gets a crush on Sonic after he saves her life. Sonic is more like a human then a hedgehog, he's capable of every other emotion so I'm pretty sure he's allowed to choose who he loves.
(Even though SonicxAmy is canon and not SonicxElise I'm tired of people saying it's beastiallity.)

@pkstarstorm1up If people have the hots for Rouge then that's up to them. I've never been a big fan of Rouge anyway. Yes there are other examples of human/animal relationships in other games, but not to the extent of Sonic 06. It was essentially a love story for goodness sake. Most other examples have just been used for light comedy (apart from Shadow and Maria, which I've never liked)

No I mean male humans in the games have admitted having the hots for Rouge, If someone in real life has a crush on Rouge then that's just creepy. They can say a character is pretty like Cosmo or a character is cute like Cream and Bokkun but infatuation of a different species in real life is scary.
Really Elise loves Sonic, not the other way around. and really I feel like she loves him for his personallity and for giving her happiness and making her feel like a normal person for a change.

But Maria showed him compassion, the fact that she really cared. Like how someone feels for their dog, it's a really tight bond, but it's not a couple. I mean, ew. Really. I watched the cut scenes from this and the only thing I can come up with that isn't super freaky is, that she loves Sonic the way we love Sonic - he's this cool little creature thing that saves the day but we all know he's not a romantic figure, he's just this magical being who makes us all happy and smile. @sonalifan1 No she wasn't because Sally isn't a canon character. Only Sonic X and the games are canon as they are the only Sonic material that was created by Sonic Team. Sally doesn't really exist in the canon Sonic universe.
