  • can you combine the files you just split on a PC? Because I'm using this method to transfer a 7gig iso from macosx 10.5.8 to a windows vista business 64.

  • @triplejades yes u can combine the also if they are in rar ..... then select all rar files and right click on it and click extract files

  • thank you....

  • YO SEEM LIKE YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I NEED SOME HELP. I HAVE A MAC BOOKPRO I USE UTORRENT TO DOWNLOAD NEW MOVIES THAT COME OUT. I PLAY THEM ON A FLASH DRIVE AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADED. MY QUESTION IS I DOWNLOADED A BLUERAY MOVIE AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO SPLIT IT AND AFTER I SPLIT IT HOW DO I GET IT TO PLAY FROM MY FLASHDRIVE WHEN I PUT THE FLASH DRIVE IN MY DVD PLAYER. HELP PLEASE

  • @JERSEE01 you will need to use tsmuxer to split your blu ray file into chunks to be able to play them. Not all devices may play it so you will need to test the files you have.

smlabs[dot]net/en/products/tsmuxer is the side that makes the program it self and it's freeware.

  • @bullboykennels not sure what OS you are running but it does not work on S/L but it does on Tiger as for the regular Leopard that I can not remember cause it's been a long time since I have used it.

  • great video man, you saved my ass big time hahahaha cheers bruh

  • ok im gonna ask a stupid question, can i use split and concat to add subtitles (.ass file) onto an avi video? i found this from google but it doesnt really tell me how to do it. so anyone?

  • How do u combine two different videos into one please

  • can i burn the .001 file to a DVD?

  • stop talking! just get on with it!

  • at 0:38 - 0:41 he said roar files rofl

  • haha you said roar files its rawr

  • Checking the "Include a .000-file" in options is not really necessary.

I split files with that that option turned on and off but I couldn't spot any difference. Both options had numbers at the end of the filenames.

  • Thank You Very Much

  • nice video!!! =D

I was able to split a 4gb iso file into 40 parts, and then joinedd them back with stuffit!!!

    5 starss!!!

  • After watching your video I found Keka, which is a GUI for p7zip. Works great, I just split a 6gb image with it. Cheers!

  • Hey man I have a real problem here. I am trying to unzip a .zip file that I made of my external hard drive which was about 100-150GB. I know that I can not open it on my computer because I don't have enough space but I can not open it up on the external either. I have tried to open in with multiple programs but nothing works. Do you have any suggestions?

  • you could try using stuffit but its not a free program thou, or in terminal.

For Terminal use the command: unzip file.zip

If you want it in a certain location for example your desktop then type in this first: cd ./Desktop

Also are you getting any error messages at all.

  • Yeah I keep getting the error message with Archive Utility.app "Error 1 operation not permitted and then" When I use Stuffit Expander I get the error message "Error #17537"

The entire zip file is about 5.2GB in size and the original amount I zipped was about 100-150GB in size.

  • from what your saying then it sounds like you need to combine them together before you unzip it. If that is the case how or what was used to split the files up to start with.

  • I zipped it using either archive utility or stuffit (dropstuff). I don't really remember to tell you the truth it has been a little while. The zip file is one file though not separate files that need to be joined together. It is just one big zip file.

  • Based on that error code you gave it would be Stuffit and that error code means a corrupted file, what you could try to do is go into the preference menu under expansion uncheck the "Continue to expand if possible" option. And see if it will let you unzip that file.

Only thing is if your original file was 100-150 GB in size and all you have is a 5.2 GB file there has to be alot of files missing from it. which I why I was thinking you had split the files up.

  • @novalock03 Its your format of your hard drive, because its fat32 it wont allow you to transfer over 4.29gb, im having the same problem myself

  • 100-150GB O.O
