Just curious for the people who time it and such, did anybody stop and think that the dimensions of your television might play a role? It is not going to be the same for every television.

if it's the same brand dvd player, the icon would appear larger in relation to the TV size. We thought the same thing but figured that the icon doesn't stay the same size on different TVs

That does make sense although the icon would adjust its dimensions but keep the same proportions. Not all televisions are proportioned the same. Some are more square, and some are a lot wider. I stumbled across two different videos of people attempting to time when it sets in the corner and they were both different times and if I think that they might have even been two different sets of corners.

On a side note, I just realized how unbelievably un-cool I am.

Then you have to factor in how different brands on DVD players will bounce differently on different TVs. I think Consumer Reports should do a study comparing every DVD player to every Television set and then who's the uncool one? Consumer Reports.
