My friend had an intersesting experience at a chinese restaurant where she mistook what the waitress said as "super salad" when it was acutally "soup or salad". It is quite hilarious if you hear her explain it to you.

ACTUALLY, during the 5 years I was a vegetarian, I frequently substituted mushrooms for chicken when I went out. Especially in the chicken fajita roll-up at Applebees. So people DO substitute mushrooms for chicken.

Oh snap that soup looks really good. And I honestly can't decide whether I'd prefer the one with mushrooms or chicken. It's kind of like when I make coq au vin, the mushrooms and onions are actually my favorite part, not the chicken. But the chicken is part of what makes the mushrooms taste so good. I just can't decide.
