  • I am TRUELY heartened by one fact that inspite of personal ambitions and concerns and interests , all the parties in the fray , all the 4(four) corners ,sort of, are talking to one-another !! that in itself is GOOD !!

  • should the us be weary of the russ?? you bet...!!

  • It is very ,very , important to be aware of the various factors which have come to be borne on almost all the armed forces the world round. included the russian armed forces. Economy considerations hold sway!! military considerations are side-lined often and are a 'ploy' almost as many times ..!! The clear cut role of the defense dept is quite blurred since let us say ,the seventies??!! Decades could go and 'major armies ..would ..not..be .called for 'service' OR else "Could..be eg.IRAQ!!

  • Stephan Cohen 's writings were sometimes usefull but then...all writings tend to be off here and again 'off' there...!! but then that is part of any author-ship !! No complaints on that count..!! good luck to him nevertheless !! the feild of his choice is interesting indeed ..!! though I could not be 'on-the-ball- as they say for so long as him..!

  • Deport all dune-coons while you Europeans still have something to save.

  • GreatSatan i said it about you - dumbass

You have no idea what was going on there

  • 1. Putin says Kosovo won't go unanswered.

    2. Spetznatz forces included in Russian "peacekeepers" ranks.

    3. Russian build up on border with S. Ossetia.

    4. Russia shoots down drones sent to photograph build up.

    5. Georgia sends forces to repel Russian invasion.

6.Russian special forces fire on Georgian troops and hide amongst the civilian population.

7.Russia uses pretext of Georgian action to invade

  • @GreatSatan1 We have a dumbass here.

  • What pretext will Russia use to go into Ukraine?

  • I think President-elect Obama will do the latter -- stall this ridiculous expansion program due to economic reasons.

  • Peace on earth

  • Very interesting commentary. I think it would be good if Obama had a listen to this. Watching it, however, is maddening in that the audio is way out of sync with the video. I just closed my eyes and listened. We really need to improve our relationship with Russia; he's right. Dead on.

  • Russia has plenty of internal problems with Islam. Over the next 10 years there will be a major transformation within Russia.

Russia only knows how to intimidate with force. That is what Russia DOES.

Russia is the least of our worries. We have too many enemies within the US. Political correctness is enemy number 1. Environmentalism, socialism, communism, atheism, all the isms are taking their toll on America. And there is terrorism. More people trying to blow us up.

  • He is right!

  • i'm not sure if the "cold war" ever ended.

  • Well,When functioned Union of Russia and Belarus,It's begin of New Cold War.

  • why are these type news videos being played up? i like russia i hope we're not enemies.

  • That's exactly what Saddam Hussein tried to do...except he dint have the stability and firepower to back up his politics. And we all know what happened after. Now if Russia does it...and the Yanks get piss off...damn...it's gonna get hotter next summer.I just hope not...

  • It was a war in middle east before Obama, it'll be a war in Europe after Obama. That's all the elections was it. That's what Obama's slogan is about "We need change". Americans chose war versus Russia. :D

  • One word: Zbigniew Brzezinski and the globalist financial elite. They want a war with Russia.

  • kretveli2: No Americans did NOT chose war v. Russia. We have almost nothing to say about who the presidential candidates are. Obama was George Soros' choice. Soros put initial seed money into Obama's primary campaign. Soros also backed Sakashvilli using him to impose his "open society" on Georgia. He tried this in Russia but they resisted. This is why Soros hates Russia. Soros does not work for US, he works for UK. Few Americans know any of this. US media is not a reliable source of information.

  • Neither Russian media is. And neither any information media can be trusted. But one thing that's certain is that if USA wants influence over world they have to defeat Russia and so can be said on Russia. Russians and Americans can not be friends unless any of these two will give up its ambitions. Isn't that so?

  • For US or Russia to have influence, it has to have a moral basis. Or it must be backed up by force. To have a moral basis of world leadership, me must 1st tend to our own knitting. There are some in America with imperial ambitions like Cheney & Rumsfeld. But those ambitions are not shared by most Americans who only want to make a living, support our families, pay our bills, live & let live. We do not want to be world policeman. Now, if only we could elect public officials who agree with us!

  • "The declaration of sovereignty by Kosovo and its recognition will undoubtedly be taken into account in [Russia's] relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia ...

This was news before the conflict started by Russia in Georgia. Russia provoked Georgia into action in S. Ossetia and then with pre-positioned troops on the border, just marched right in. Why were those troops so handy? It was all planned and executed by Putin, who said Kosovo would not go unanswered.

  • BBC reported on the events, Russian troops didn't enter through the Roki tunnel into Georgia for two days after the shelling by Georgia of Ossetia started.

    It was not pre-planned.

  • Lucky then that Russia had just the right amount of force handy to "liberate" South Ossetia.

  • I wouldn't call it liberation seeing as now they're pulling out.

I just hope no more conflicts like this happen, because in reality, what they did was in fact protect people. I don't hate Georgian people, but I do have to frown on the fact that their government opened indiscriminate fire on a sleeping city.

I just hope to see peace between our nations some day.

  • Indiscriminate fire on a sleeping city?

Maybe shooting back at Russian special forces hiding among the civilian population after first opening fire on Georgian military.

No one believes Russia is innocent in this naked aggression against Georgia.

  • LOL!!!!! That's new, Russian special forces hiding in civilian population. You should be a comedian. It feel good pulling that out of your ass?

You'd be surprised how many people believe Russia is innocent, hate to break it to you. It's just that America is unfortunately predominantly populated by blind fools.

No on fired on Georgian territory before they did. In fact, there is indisputable evidence of Georgian secret police hiring people to stage terrorist attacks in Ossetia before this.

  • I have previously explained the whole scenario. This is what most people outside Russia believe.

  • And I have a rebuttal to your fancy "facts:"

    1.Bullshit

    2.Bullshit

    3.Bullshit...well, you get the point.

If you think this is an answer to Kosovo, you are retarded.

You have anything to back up your statements? I do, and if you're ready to have a constructive talk, send them to me. Because I CAN back up what I say, which is more than some people...

If there WAS a buildup of Russian forces, then they would have been there when Georgians attacked. They weren't. No proof.

  • Blow it out your ass.

  • And there you go, quite an intellectual response to an offer of a contructive discussion.

  • What a dumbass

  • Putin? Yes, I agree.

  • lets hope there wont be another WW... maybe we have learned something from history. i made a mistake, lets PRAY there wont be a WW

  • If theres another WW we wont live to see the end of it. LOL

  • The elite are pushing for a new cold war, they will use propaganda to sell it while they finance all sides. These countries have shown they want a new world order, they said as much so this new war will be fabricated, only you will suffer.

  • Bang on! Pat Buchanan, not liberal by remotest stretch of imagination criticized US policy of confronting Russia. He noted, Russia is no strategic threat to US. They disbanded Warsaw pact. & yet US persists in sticking our finger in Russia's eye. Why? US is flat broke & Russia is swimming in petro dollars! It was Georgia who started that war with Russia last August & attacked civilians in Tskhinvali. Russian soldiers even rescued Americans caught in cross fire! This was good vid! Thanks RT!

  • You should give up the propaganda about

Georgia. The whole world knows about Russia's naked aggression there.Putin said Kososvo would not go unanswered. Then he gave S. Ossetia citizens Russian passports. Then he sent in "peacekeeping" troops (aka spetznatz). Then he built up forces on border with Georgia. Then he shot down spy drones who came to investigate the build up. Then he started shooting Georgian troops in S. Ossetia. Then he hid among civilians there. Then he sent in the troops.

  • Then you woke up.

  • I hate to be spokesperson for a foreign country, but the S. Ossetians voted in a plebiscite for reunion with N. Ossetia under Russian sovereignty. Sakshvilli ignored. N. & S. Ossetia WERE united under the Rus. empire and under USSR before Stalin divided them putting S. Ossetia under Georgia. (Stalin was Georgian not Russian). No problem under USSR but after breakup Georgians systematically oppressed ethnic Russians & Ossetians. Georgian troops initiated hostilities against Russians & Ossetians.

  • nukedude2

Are you idiot? Find "Georgian-Ossetian" conflict on wikipedia.

And such Americans accusing Russia? LOL

First, try to use any real facts))

  • The US has insured its ships in the Black Sea until March 2009, says IRA Novosti yesterday. I think (non-NATO member) Ukraine will be attacked by Russia and via the Crimean's Russian population. Ukraine is already concentrating troops at the borders to Russia - like Georgia did. I fear a war with Ukraine might cause an exodus of Baltic peoples and Poles into Western Europe. More civil unrest. More economic collapse in the west. Stage for the Third World War inside Europe...

  • The attack to Ukraine is impossible. It is connected by that in East Ukraine almost each inhabitant has Russian citizenship! In East Ukraine not strongly like Ushenko. Probably armies are directed on calm of dissatisfied citizens!

  • Impossible? There were many ethnic Germans in western Poland in 1939 too (near Posen-Poznan and in Katowice-Kattowitz, in Bromberg-Bydgoczsz) and yet Nazi Germany invaded Poland. Of course Russian invasion of Ukraine would not mean destruction of eastern Ukrainian pro-Russian populations. It would mean occupation. The Fifth Column of Charkov Russians and Crimean Russians would make Moscow Muscovite Russian invasion into UKR easier.

  • It will take place in the event that UKRAINE WILL GIVE the OCCASION! Then the same script as with Georgia will turn out! Crimea becomes "independent" and Donbas becomes a part of Russia!

  • I am not a blinded fan of NATO expansion into Russia's backyard, and I am anti-globalist, but it is very simplistic to depict the Ukraine as the only guilty. Russia under Putin and the new FSB-KGB elite of modern Russia has consistently stirred up conflicts to fit the Russian agenda. Crimea, Transnistria, Charkov region. The 'Union of Russia and Belarus' is a union also desired by Serbs, Kazakhstani, Armenians, Kirgizistan. With a Soviet-like flag. Google this Union. That's secret future. War..

  • Well! I do not believe in the god, but God forbid will prove to be true to your words.

  • I can tell you, that you better believe in the Lord Our God - Who does exist and created your soul and your body - in the upcoming economic depression and in case a Third "Hot" World War ("2nd cold war") erupts. Even psychologically it is healthier than lethal nihilism of atheists roaming the streets for food, killing others.

  • I have not told, that I do not believe! I simply do not believe that speaks church! Anyhow, I the kind atheist)))))))) With Coming New year!

  • Huh? You have to be kidding. Another nut job from religio-land...

  • You will find out who is the real nut job. Just continue to bark with the mass media and obediently repeat the indoctrination education you received via mass media and in your school systems. Just repeat. Just preven that you could ever think yourself and read philosophical evidence of God's existence (and empirical miracles in e.g. Lanciano).

  • Don't care what you say. Talk 'til you're blue in the face. You religious nuts are so full of bullshit. BTW, you might consider proof reading your bullshit before you post it, idiot. Oh god, I'm goin' to hell. Oooooooo, I'm so scared. Why am I even doing this, wasting my time? I guess just to vent, and it's kind of fun. Go fuck yourself, freak!

  • Oh, I appreciate your well-argumented reply. Thank you for the constructive discussion and your empirical logic.

  • nerd communist.

  • i think new communism its USA

  • Is this a news program!? Why isn't the host shouting and mocking the expert like they do on Fox News? How come they didn't ask the opinion of 'Joe the Plumber'?

  • How many it is possible? The NATO - the military block continues expansion, the USA put everywhere the rockets, carry out in the different countries of revolution, sponsor genocides! In that that new cold war one country USA began is guilty only!

  • Anahay777 you seem to forget until the soviet union broke up Russia was more guilty of that shit. How come I dont hear you knock China? China has funded the genocide in Darfur and the N.Korean leader. I dont hear you knock them. Ah thats right. Ignore the fact that other countrys do far worse and just hit the U.S. If your really worried about genocide worry about what China is doing to Sudan

  • I with you completely agree. But, Soviet Union is not Russia. Soviet Union is Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and still it is a lot of countries! When speak the USSR do not speak Russia.

  • The last, that Russia has made bad is there was a first Chechen company 1994-1996. Since then has passed more than 10 years. Now our country does not participate in similar wars. And your country, since Vietnam cannot stop and to this day. I too think China guilty!

  • Just wait and you will see...

  • RT is to pro RUSSIA,is a tools for Putin to brain washing youtubers.

  • Are you frightened by an alternate view? The American media is generally a tool of the US government and other forces that are not looking out for the interests of the American people. The US feels threatened by Russia's rise in power and is seeking to undermine this rise, naturally.

  • Dude most news medias are biased towards their country. Russia is no exception. RT is the Russian view on American politics, not the real view. I can find tons of people in other countries that disagree with RT.

  • The US population is NOT afraid of Russia. And even though our media are liars, their credibility with us is waning. Russian power is no threat to US. Right now it is Russian navy who protects shipping "of all flags" against Somali pirates. US navy did this in early 1800's with Barbary pirates. But our leaders in Washington today are nothing like the leaders in early 1800's. I was sorry to see Putin become Prime Minister in Russia. I was hoping Russia would loan him to US!

  • LOL! Me, too. But I'm still holding out hope that Obama will steer the country away from conflicts with Russia. Yes, he has "old guard" people on his team -- Clinton, etc. But I think that's to placate the angry establishment voters in the Dem party. I don't think he's a Dubya -- he won't be led by the nose by these guys.

  • There is hope. Obama was 1st put into position to run for President by George Soros who was also Sakashvili's sponsor. But now Soros seems to be getting edged out. This is huge! But Obama had better watch his back. And if these old retread "advisers" to to steer him into unnecessary neo-imperial adventures, I hope Obama fires them. He is still fairly new to Washington, DC. And he is young and untested. But then so was JFK. Let's all hope and pray Obama is as quick a study as JKF was!

  • Intermission: watch?v=a1gE8h7z-sI

  • I voted for Obama because McCain was just another Bush Republican. But Obama is putting Clinton people around him. I hoped Obama does not turn out to be a sellout. Looks like I'm going to be diappoint in Obama.

  • If America survivies the coming depression I hope that the Americans learn that true change will never come from the established parties which are in the end controlled by the same forces. Obama will expand the Bush policies and the US will continue to morph into a police state.

  • i like you

  • America wont enter a depression. No credible econimists is saying America is going into a depresstion. During the GD America lost half there banks and unemployment was at 25%. The recession of the 1970s is still worse then the one were in now. And there are other parties in America. No one likes them though. They are either to far right or to far left. And Obama wont expand bushes policys. Jesus let the guy get in office before you knock him.

  • Actually, credible economists are warning of the possibility of a US depression. These are the same economists who predicted the current recession back when your 'reputable' economists were screaming about how great the US economy was. I guess you let your media bosses define who is reputable and who isn't for you.Because Americans choose to be enslaved by the 2 party system doesn't mean it is in their own interest.A look at Obama's appointments supports the theory of Bush policies being continued

  • Accually your wrong. There is not one credible econimist that says this will be a depression. You are wetting yourself cause you think this will be the end of America. Just cause you can find 1 out of 10,000 econimist that thinks this will be a depression means nothing. We have been in worse. So sorry guy this is not the end. The sharper the decline the sharper the recovery buddy

  • There is Peter Schiff, popular on YouTube, who is the representative voice for those predicting economic misery for the US.One man who really understands economics is better than a 1,000 empty-headed economist who were predicting boom when a bust was around the corner and were among the last to finally admit the economic reality the US is in. Unlike the past the US is in huge debt and has lost its manufacturing base."The sharper the decline the sharper the recovery"Just like in the USSR,right? :)

  • You will see how the Obama illusion will be cut down. Already the same globalist elite players are in his administration. Such 'change' by your Abortionist hero? The depression will throw US society into the abyss. A social abyss of civil unrest and economic implosion. General Motors, all metal industries etc. are going to break down.

  • Their should be a friendly neutral zone around Russia borders just like in star trek but of course the industrial military complex wouldn't want that

  • What RT and the American media have in common is that they don't mention that USA is one of the biggest buyers of Russian arms. We are shipping them to Afghanistan, and will build an overhaul base here in the USA.

Russia ends the rules allowing Oboronprom to do the business of now-banned entity Rosoboronexport. Russia is an excellent business partner. Now for our side . . .

  • we need love. love is the only thing we need to live.

  • bush is soooooooo far right. and russia is still center left. we need obama. he is left. like me. now we need to settle down.

  • alexandra haydulina. russia is great.

  • any currency will be fine, but not dollars

  • Russia was almost obliterated by Nazi Germany in WW2. I think this incredible catastrophe will be with us for a very long time.

  • If Mother Russia were obliterated during 1940s, then you'll be speaking German now and having fun in the Nazi "Todeslager" camps.

  • 5:23 I like this qiestion.

  • The unneccassary expansion of the NATO creates

a most crtical und dangerous sizuation between Russia and NATO. Europe must gain more influence in NATO, if the President is named Bush or Obama, they `ve got now ideas of international relations which are not ruled by them. For the USA the time for being

a Super Power is over, but they are still dangerous due to their unpredictable behavior

  • Russia must sell it´s oil and natural gas in Russian Rubl! that is how the Rubl could became international.

  • STOP US TERRORISTS! Really, when this busturds will stop? They are the only reason of destabilizing today: financial crisis; wars on "terror"; "regime changes" in Post-Soviet countries / S. America; eternal threatings of beginning war with Iran/Pakistan/Syria; missiles and radar in Poland/Czech Republic; more than 700 military bases all over the world...

    STOP CRAZY YANKEES!

  • I just watched this a few hours ago. Great stuff that's on here already.

  • Obama is but another ass licking puppet... Fuck them all!
