  • I have a question here. Normally researchers use the correlation in meta analysis. Can we use regression coefficients instead of correlation.

  • Meta-analysis wasn't covered in my intro to statistics class, though, was mentioned in the text. Do you have any idea why?

  • It is generally considered an intermediate/advanced topic in research methods courses. Also it can use several different statistical procedures and in an intro to statistics course you are more likely to cover the statistics used (e.g., standard deviation) than the actual research procedure.
