..I really don't know much about the whole border issue, but if it's close to the temple, it would make more sense if it belongs to Cambodia. ..I really don't know much about the whole border issue, but if it's close to the temple, it would make more sense if it belongs to Cambodia. Thailand is huge compared to Cambodia, so fighting over a tiny piece of land..hello? When you think about it when borders are removed, you really can't tell who is Khmer and who is Thai, the culture is so similar. But I think this can be solved in a peaceful manner, an article mentioned that soldiers from both sides have known each other for awhile.

Preah Vihear is obviously Cambodia's, look at the architecture, heavily Hindu influenced, as with all Khmer monuments dating back to the Angkor Empire.
