  • I complimented you in your first video, what i also want to suggest to you that you find someone native Russian speaking guy or girl or a teacher who lives in USA and either ask them to help you with the fine tuning of your oral speech in Russian. But you are no longer basic you are advanced, not perfect but very good. Really find someone Russian living in US and maybe trough internet if he/her does not live in your state, you can communicate with him/he like that. But man you are good already.

  • братец сначала бы сам подучил русский, прежде чем его преподавать

  • Россия ( pronounce = rassiya )

Болшие must be Большие with ь

  • The plural for дверь in the nominative case is двери, not дверы.

Большой, большие is written with the мягкий знак.

It's РоссИи, not Россий or РоссиИ.

  • A few pieces of advice to anyone who wants to learn or teach Russian or any otehr foreign language:

    1)First of all, whenever you decide to explain a rule to someone, make sure you know and understand the whole rule, not just some parts of it; make sure you can apply all of the parts of teh rule in more than 1 contextual situation;

2)Then, before assuming the responsability for telling someone how to read a word or imply a rule, consult a dictionary or ask a native speaker.

  • @amiracatalana134 Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be sure to apply this philosophy from now on.

  • Аааааахахааа БОЛШИЕ ДВЕРЫ))))) В РОССИЙ

  • концерт, музей are also words coming into russian language from France I suppose. Therefore they are also exceptions. As for word Дверь it`s an old russian word so it complies with all grammar rules.

  • In my opinion Рояль is an exception because it`s a foreign word adopted from french language. Foreign words, especially french, german etc are often exceptions

  • I think I would translate легче продолжать literally as "the easier it is to continue", but I defer to any native Russians (I haven't studied or used this language in several years)

It is funny to single out Russian and Arabic as two very difficult languages to learn from a grammatical standpoint. They're the two languages I studied during undergraduate work in Linguistics. Perhaps I am a masochist. I always thought the Uralic languages are worse: Estonian has 14 cases, Russian only 6!

  • Не будем судить строго, кirusi lugha ni ngumu sana... grammar rules realy hard!

laoshu505000 kiswahili ni somo yako nzuri sana, Asante sana! Учу с большим удовольствием.

  • The right way to say is: Москва - очень интереснЫЙ город. интереснЫЙ agrees with город, which is masculine. If you say Москва очень интереснАЯ, then интереснАЯ is the predicative in this sentence, and, according to the grammar rules, agrees with the subject, Москвa, which is feminine. дверИ, not дверЫ

  • There are so many mistakes, there's no sense to comment each one.... Just try to write the letter Г correctly, you have it turned the wrong way. Your letter Д doesn't look correct, too.

  • Russian seems to me like a hard language to learn, specially because it uses the Cyrillic alphabet. I speak Spanish and I've been practicing to write it with the Cyrllic, that's interesting, and knowing how to romanize the Cyrillic has made me learn how to read the Russian, and even other languages that use the Cyrillic. I thinking about inventing a system to write Spanish with Cyrillic. I'd like to know, have you ever thought about using the Cyrillic with a language that does not use it?

  • Russian and Japanese are pretty much the two languages I've been really interested in learning lately, so your videos are a really nice supplement to that process.

Mad props Moses, I really like the way you teach. Also, your Rufus is pretty good too, just thought I'd throw that out there. Keep it up.

  • Thanks a lot. Man, I feel sorry for abandoning SF after BB came out. I played BB intensively! I think it was 2 months since I've played SF seriously.

  • Yeah I have BB but it was too much to take in for my puny brain, Street Fighter is much more basic.

  • hahahaha! It isn't that much man...I mean I know the game gets sloppy , but...it's worth putting time into it.
