Kick-Ass the comic series has a WARNING for Mature Audiences label. Definitely rated R material. fun read though.

Batman Hush is one of the greatest Batman comics of all time. If you liked that, I recommend the Superman/Batman series.

Anything by Alan Moore is good (if you like Batman you will like Batman: The Killing Joke) The Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller) is also another Batman goody. I also enjoy some comic books illustrated by Alex Ross such as Marvels (history of the marvel universe in the eyes of a reporter) Kingdom Come ( Future of the DC Universe, basically the struggle of the new heroes vs the old heroes), and Justice (An epic justice league story)

I read Batman: The Killing Joke. It was Absolutely Amazing! I couldn't put it down & finished it in 2 days. I also like Frank Miller's work but I haven't read The Dark Knight Returns. Alex Ross is amazing too. :D Honestly, I can't follow comics well since they go on all kinds of random tangents but the ones that tell their own side story is nice & easy to follow. It just seems that everyone in the comic world intermingles & it drives me banana sandwich. I think Civil War is pretty cool too. ^__^

It's just like comic books but because of the different groups they try to reach (more variety) you can find some very interesting things. And because most are drawn by men there are lots of perverted bonuses too :p

or you could try Anime, same thing. Not to hard to find Anime or Manga that are pointed towards a more mature audience then most comic books <3

Pick up any Atomic Robo Phil! I swear on my grandma's grave it's one of the funniest comics out there. Lots of "Action Science" with Nikola Tesla's greatest creation, Atomic Robo. And each series takes place during a different era of Robo's very long life, so you get everything from Chuthulian horror to dinosaurs who think they're evil doctors to Vampires on a Mutha Frickin...Science Lab? I highly recommend it if you're a big fan of AWESOME.
