  • I personally liked the First soloist a lot. So Grawr. The people in the AUDIENCE need to chill out lol

  • baigi sūdīgi!!!!!!

  • o.o I think this is amazing!:D Our choir is gonna be like.. way worse then this >.< I'ma female baritone.. and I can hit alot of thesse notes.. it's just.. WOW. I thought our choir was good.. but I was wrong..

  • metallica's creeping death is better

  • you all need to stop raggin on our soloists... i remember when our second soloist tried out, the rest of the line pretty much said screw this and sat down.

  • not sure I like the soloists heaviness and vibrato for that delicate a solo...

  • @jphillipsonrocks i know i can actually do it and i probably can dot better even though im a girl

  • Bravo to the second soloist! Bravo, bravo, bravissimo!

  • This isn't a jazz concert/Italian opera, people.

Let's save the clapping for the end. |:

  • I've commented before, but I'll comment again. This rendition has a lot of emotion, and I like how the two soloists have different timbres. However, I believe the second soloist could have sounded a little more mature; his voice is just WAY too bright. And some people can pull off body language while singing, but I think he overdid it a little.... But other than that, this is one of the best I've heard!

  • @CharlieBladeRemus Nonsense, both soloists were fine, and the second was far superior! The first was a little too militaristic in his emotions, kind of like Jim Cornelison, the bass who does the National Anthem at the Chicago Blackhawks game.

  • @Baritone45 Oh I'm not saying the second guy has a bad voice, because he really does have an excellent voice. I'm just saying he could have made his timbre a little darker. Maybe it's just a personal bias of mine, since the choir I sing with ALWAYS sings with a dark sound...lol

  • @CharlieBladeRemus I sure am glad you responded to my response. I had forgotten just how good this rendition is. >>> GOOSEBUMPS <<<

Here's my reflection on the emotions of the 2 soloists. The first one is demanding Pharaoh "Let my people go!" The second one has become more desperate, more resolved, and has resorted to a more spiritual realm. Perhaps he's begging God with his open, higher-pitched plea "LET my people go!"

Upon the second listening, this is incredible!

  • This young adult male choir is absolutely fabulous. Superb voices, fresh mood, perfect pitch. Good job.

  • First soloist is trying to sound like he's older. It doesn't sound good at all, sing naturally.

  • Ok my commentary about the black soloist. you sing well brotha..but do you need all the hand gestures and lingering run at the end of the solo. U not in church!

  • That second soloist was a complete tool about his departure. The solo wasn't even that great, and he walked off like he had dominated it. What a prick.

  • @gphillip17 I liked the second soloist a lot more than the first one. Nice voice!

  • Oh wow...Awesome....

  • I LOVED THE WAY BOTH PEOPLE SANG. ITS FUNNY HOW PEOPLE PICK LITTLE THINGS TO DISGRACE SOMEONE ELSE'S TALENTED THAT SECOND SOLOIST DID A VERY GOOD JOB!

  • @DonDiva4u03 That's good to know! I love that guy so much! He's actually from my school. He sings alto in college now, to my knowledge. I lurv his speaking voice so much (I was going insane when I heard him singing the first time I listening to this)

  • The crowd ruined it, especially the family of the soloist with too much vibrato. Why, oh why, other than being just plain stupid? That's a good possibility. The soloist with too much vibrato should have scolded his family, but won't ...

  • wow, well done

  • Wow!?

    Hes in high school???

  • Da soloist killed it and our choir did it 2 but dey did an awesome job good job guyz

  • @kilakam94 you wish you could sing like him

  • @fugees87 I agree. while it is polite to clap when a soloist has sung their bit, cheering is rude.

  • Very moving. Leading soloist has a operatic voice, so there is definitely going to be vibrato involved. Anyone making comments upon the soloists should keep in mind that there are different types of styles and each soloist contributed very well. ( I actually liked the power of the first soloist better than the second, but again, this is personal preference.) Overall, it was an interesting blend that worked well with such a great, strong performance by the overall choir.

  • sing second soloist

  • isn't this in ferris buler as let my camron go?

  • Moses Hogan rules, or rather, ruled.

  • I was really moved by this choir! I think the message is so powerful! this song could be related to slavery in the States and can relate to oppressed groups of people in general.

  • okay that's fine..i was just saying that by the looks of this clip, that he was trying to one-up the first guy :P

  • They Killed It!!! This was amazing...both solos were amazing!!

  • I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE CLAP BEFORE THE SONG IS OVER!!!!

and the second soloist completely ruined his solo with the way he walked back into the choir. BOO.

the choir does sound AMAZING though

  • @KeithB08 Agreed about the clap.

  • you guys are awesome

  • OMG i was there when they did this song! I was in the SSAA choir....these guys did excellent on every single song they sang! i was so amazed and blown away! Hoping to be there next year!! :-)

  • VERY, very impressed.

Dynamics, diction, phrasing... they just SANG!!!

  • i was not exspecting that sound when i clicked this video!!! Awesome!

  • I assume these are high school kids. This is very good coming. We sang this is a barbershop quartet like setting. There was 8 of us and we all bounced around solos.

the second guy was very cocky. I think he was trying to out-do the first guy. Chill out bro. It comes to you naturally!

  • Haha.

Craig can be cocky sometimes, but Greg Cleveland told him that he could do it and it would add to the performance.

When our men did this song in Detroit, Craig did a little less and most of the judges said that since it was a spiritual, that he could get into it. Usually Craig cries when he sings this solo...

But, yeah, that's just Craig... It's funny, usually he complains. "I can't sing that high!"... He has like a high E above C... hahahaha.

  • Holy crap!!! That blew me away!!!!!

  • wow i agree with everyone in that the performance was amazing. I have to say though, i dont agree that the 2nd soloist was AMAZING! i think the 1st guy was better. but thats just my opinion...

  • the 2nd soloist was amazing, but he walked back to the choir a bit cocky, lol

  • Holy crap, that was amazing!

  • wow...that was pretty much the best weekend ever!! i do have to say my heart did melt when i heard this one live (theres jsut soemthing about a TTBB choir that melts my insides...:-))

  • I loved this! The 2nd soloist was amazing! He really put his soul in that performance, I had chills when I saw this live!

  • u guys did better renniasance
