  • I didn't know a freezer would kill them that fast. I have always kept them in it for a week or more to be sure. Very good video David.

  • Thanks for the thorough video as well as the thankfully resolution to the problem. One hive we noticed twice had many dead bees surrounding the base of the hive. We investigated and found evidence of the wax moths. Why the dead bees? If there is no wax on the frames, do we have to store and use the Bens crystals? Now this hive has one box and top for feeding. Think this will be okay for the winter in Virginia? Again thanks for helping those of us that are beginners..

  • Thanks David, We just had a one super that was in a clear Rubbermade tub with a tight lid get a few Waxmoths. The info was helpful as usual.
