  • i like the video but its just that i dont like animals

  • if you think of it huskys look like baby polar bear... especially around the nose.

  • dogs are every animal's best friend now.... hehehe... cats excluded of course.

  • Awwww!!! they are so cute!!! I wanna have them as my pet.. Lol!

  • i thought this was going to be a video. i am very disappointed.

  • That's an Alaskan malamute, super cute :)

  • thats pretty cool,, I saw on a documentary before,, that this is a very common reaction between polar bears and sled dogs,

  • Seen more videos of huskies being eaten by polar bears than not.

  • See there can be word peace!:D

  • Uh, folks, at first I thought this was cute too, but you should really check out Sled Dog Watchdog and see another side of this story. Think about it: Dogs chained to the ice and hungry bears?

  • It is amazing. There is awareness from the dog a little tension. He knows the danger, It shows in his hair but what is amazing is that he is willing to try to be friend.s. It is that trust that amazes me.

  • Bear doesn't need to eat the dog. Why would he when he can eat the dog food that gets put out for these dogs!!

  • It is really cute, but I would still be VERY worried if the "play" got too rough or if the polar bear was really hungry.

  • Hey this is nice, something u don't get to see that often

    Nice husky

  • it means darwin was a fag from africa.... sorry i had to say it. Ccc ooold

  • Does this mean there is no purpose in nature?

We say the purpose of ducks with webbed feet is to survive; its not the purpose, those with webbed feet made it out of the water.

Was the purpose of those without webbed feet to die?

I am studying animal behavior, and this part is odd. ;)

  • Oh if only we could have such peace!!!!

  • huskies? perhaps you meant malamute.

  • and it hadnt eaten for 4 months. amazing

  • the lepard lyeth with the lamb wow maby theres some truth in the bible

  • Wonderful.

  • cute !! adorable very unusual :)

  • Were all the huskies male? Would bear have eaten a bitch? "Play" is a human term, and can't really know what the motivation was with these animals. We know that kitten "play" is practice for actual stalking/killing. Maybe the bear was hoping the dogs would share food! I wonder if the dogs smelled of meat?

Brown kept saying "this happened in NATURE" and yet the dog was chained. Hardly a "wild" thing. Yet domesticated animals are part of "nature" too, eh, just like the iPhone.

  • @misanthrope8 The polar bear was wild...

  • Hi there! Awesome pics! So beautiful! I was wondering if I could have permission to draw your photographs.

  • Who doesn't want to stop and pet the pretty doggy when he's all ready to play?

  • Simple explanation for this! The polar bear had not eaten for 4 months. He was obviously in a state of euphoria from the fast. Possibly had reached a state of enlightenment that few bears have ever reached. Decided that it was time to make peace with all other living creatures, become a vegetarian, and live it's remaining life out in a state of bliss before returning to the Godhead. Very simple to figure out!!!!

  • @blabblab1212 LOL

  • Are you nuts.

  • @blabblab1212 i was wondering why someone didnt say it before

  • There's other differences...for instance we're said to be the only species that is aware of our own mortality...but maybe we don't fully know all about how animals think and feel yet. Who knows for sure?

  • nobody knows unless somebody will invent a "translator thingy" hehehe that will translate what animals would say.

  • This is an excerpt from a lecture about the importance of learning to play as a part of our development. As for what sets us aside from animals, it is our ability to have secondary, even sometimes third thoughts going on at once, as opposed to animals who have only primary thoughts, moment by moment.

  • lovinSpoonful is right i know a penguin near me who walks to the end of the boardwalk and cries for its partner that died at sea

  • wow!!!! my girlfriend sent me the pictures

  • i'm no expert but i hypothesis that this interaction is possible because the polar bear is a very social and high-intellegent animal and that to social creatures the need for play can be just as valuable to them as the need for food. when you play you re-engergize your being in a way that food doesn't provide.

  • This is a true event - not "impossible" cause it happened. Also, Polar Bears are carnivorous predators and they DO attack, they attack whales, people, seals, each other and their young. But not ALWAYS. The point is that there is inter-species love and play in the wild. It's not always a 'dog eat dog' world out there. This event has nothing to do with 'people' no matter how far or how close.

  • all, if you really like the video, must see "Christian the lion", personally i love my dog and animals, and they have a lot of thing to teach us

  • they knew how to communicate. there is alot going on there.

  • beautiful husky--beautiful bear--beautiful story. Thanks for posting.

  • Pretty conclusive that humans aren't gods special creatures

  • Humans ARE God's 'special' creatures but that doesn't make animals value-less. They too are able to love, to feel lonely, to grieve, to enjoy - they ARE emotional creatures just as humans are. Polar bears are capable of loving and embracing others and life. Most people don't know this but birds (specifically parrots, but not exclusively) are also highly emotional beings.

  • In what way then, are humans special?

  • that is sweet polar bears are always nice u never hear of polar bear attacks

  • cause not alot of people live where they live O.o, and there is not alot of polar bears :(

  • I am guessing bigger than your's

  • It is a shame how people understand animals less and less today.

We are much more away from them as never. been before They are a part of nature and we are not. I experienced some of similar behaviours in the wild and it didn't surprised me. Who we are, the humans !? What are we made of ?

  • I don't know about you, but I'm quite happy being separated from nature ;)

  • that's impossible, sorry

  • Really? In what sense?

The more technologically bound you are, the further you get from Nature. Of course as humans are animals it's impossible to be totally separated, but we can still go as far as possible from it mentally if we wished

  • awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think animals get bored when they're out in places like that and they want friends too just like wolves like to be in packs and other animals too, and dogs are so friendly naturally anyway. Beautiful photos and subjects.

  • if that bear was hungry it would have been a different story

  • They said the bear hadn't eaten for 4 months, so I'm guessing the pics were taken in Spring when bears have finished hibernating. The bear was most likely hungry.

  • Polar bear is hungry always. For animals we know nil...

  • at least it will have motive,,humans kill each otherer for fun and power

  • Well, the bear thought I might as well play a little bit with this pathetic canines since I've been working and working and no play. All work and no play makes the bear dumb! lol

  • why cant i see the video

    ANY GUYS UP? cW

  • unbelievable

  • i wanna be a bear ^^

  • lmfaoo my teacher told me abou this and showed the class pics of it the sam ones:P:P

  • Lonely bear.

  • If they were fighting, the dog would have been dead in minutes. There are many high-resolution photos of the bear coming back every day to play with the dog.

  • the dog would have been dead in seconds ;)

  • Put "Polar bears and dogs playing" in youtube search and you can see the actual film of them really playing. It's luuurve, man!

  • That is SO awesome. That would be crazy to see a grizzley and wolf act like that in the wild like that guy said on the video... That would be one hell of a team; wolf pack and grizzley bears... haha. Great Video.

  • This is amazing and there are researchers that are study these type of behaviors. I might be wrong so correct me if I am.

There are signals that provoke inferences in the observer (Ketellar 2008). Dogs are more likely to attack if there tails are pointing up rather than wiggling side by side.

It appears that the polar bear received the signal of the dog. It's like humans, we can detect when somebody is mad and want to fight. It's such an awesome phenomena.

  • this guy is copying from another You tube Video (Polar Bears and Dogs playing) this moron acts like he found this out. this is old news.

  • hi everybody

  • I think this sort of stuff only happens in cold environments. For some reason, the cold makes people more hospitable and friendly, and perhaps animals as well.

  • wow, I bet you based that off some intense scientific evaluations there dude.

You should be like an animal sociology professor or something, like.

lol sounds like 'let's make broad assumptions day' to me.

  • What a wondrous sight are these beautiful creatures ! Nature is the greatest treasure that we could ever experience on Planet Earth...

let us hold the Vision of Mankind living respectfully upon our Mother,

and learning all the Wisdom she has for us !

Corrupt Big Oil, STOP SUPRESSING Clean Energy Technologies NOW !!!

  • aww! 1:44 is so cute!

  • WOW this is amazing and beautiful! Lets help the polor bear before it is to late and there are no more!

  • This is great anyone else got videos of similar?

Even when Animals Eat each other its an act of Love yet its beyond our comprehension so it sounds insane. It dies to feed another or normally more than 1 maybe a whole pack so in the process more is being created.

  • bless! :)

  • I saw these incredible pictures published in National Geographic, maybe 10 years ago. What incredible behavior! We humans have so much to learn from animals...if we only would take the time.

  • i don't get why is it so surprising. they are mammals not devil or vampires. they are just like us. we eat meat and we like other pretty mammals at the same time.

  • HUG or FIGHT , they can cuse like us!!

    WOW!!

  • How sweet... But i got a question... Why does the Husky have a chain on ít's neck? I thought that both animals were wild.. or is it only the bear wich is wild???

  • The narrator says that the huskies belong to the photographer, and the bear is wild. :)

  • That explains all.. :D

It's so sweet :P humans can learn from them :D

  • That's great! Thanks for submitting it to the Conscious Shift group.

  • I was watching that thinking it was a joke! I was like "wtf when are they gonna kill each other?" and they never did.

SPOILER WARNING: THIS ISN"T A JOKE, THEY ACTUALLY PLAY

  • Hey, i cant belive thats the wild!

  • Lol aw how cute.

  • I love your show!

  • Incroyable et très interressant merci

  • " for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD"

Oh boy, the religious geek patrol is out.

  • q increible este video won!!!!!!!......

es asombroso ver un oso de tal magnitud.... en cautiverio¿? y q no le haga nada al perro!!!!!!! sinceramente increible pana!!!!

    jeje bien fino el video

  • So cute! See, it's not all about survival of the fittest. These guys are playing!

  • so cool

  • Thank you for sharing this. Polar bears are more docile than previously thought according to current research. These magnificent creatures need our support and respect.

  • imagine that, a new breed a polar husk, what a fighting machine that would make. :)

  • those "huskies" are "canadian eskimo dogs". great shots!!

  • WOW, thas soo beautiful :), even animals can get alot and we humans cant....thats sad....peace u all

  • I am sure this a common natural event. It's a beautiful video, but I fear its message will be twisted by fundamentalist Christian nutcases.

  • The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD

  • The religious scripture you are quoting is a myth, as are all the other scriptures in the world. So sad to see you've been duped by a book and its images. By the way, both the Old Testament and New Testament are plagarized materials from older traditions - Zoroastrianism and the motif Mithra. Trying to lose your self in religious belief is like burying your head in the sand. But that is quite fashionable these days!

  • How do you know this is religious scripture?

    It sounds like a heterogeneous mixture to me;

and totally meant to excite you enough to spew the verbally abusive denunciation of Christian dogma, of which you complied.

    What exactly is a bindu?

Is it a cross between a bigot & a hindu?

  • extraordinary

  • Just marvellous

  • Unbelievable and wonderful!

  • What's the big deal? Happens all the time at Svalbard island in Norway where we have tons of polar bears. They play with the sled dogs. The dogs aren't afraid of the polar bears and the bears don't attack the dogs.

  • With respect: The 'big deal' would be ... to guard against not taking the good in life for granted! (Take a quick gander at "POLAR BEAR VS SLED DOG" on my video log)

  • It's great that mister wise here knew about this before the rest of the world...congrats man...you are so much more IN THE KNOW...wow.

To the rest of the people who didn't know about Svalbard island it's pretty cool. And I bet there are some people at Svalvard Island who still think it's cool...it's nature...it's beautiful...

  • That is awesome! It's a shame they didn't have a video camera at the time, but still, the photos say a lot.

  • wth?? thats amazing

  • life <3

  • This is beautiful, thank you for sharing!
