Before I retired, I worked every single holiday and NOT for extra pay. My job was in a home for people who were seriously developmentally and physically handicapped. I had to change diapers on adults, feed them and clean up their puke. I wish I could have been sitting around in a nice clean building , getting health insurance, zillions of days off, and then bitch about working through a few shopping days.

From what I understand the START treaty allows us to have people monitoring Russian nuclear weapons. And without renewing that treaty, we have no way of verifying their security.

What ever happened to the concern over terrorists getting their hands on a nuclear weapon? Republicans must care more about making Obama look bad than preventing a nuclear attack.

There is a reason for Sen. Kyl's rigidity refusing to acknowledge anything else. There has been NO renewal/revision/revisit of a treaty with Russia since 2002. That being the case for the remaining 6 years of the Bush administration is disconcerting.

What Sen. Kyl fails to mention is his allegiance to Israel. START provides leverage to require Israel declare all of the weapons at NATO. Their denial only of no nukes is not acceptable to NATO. Step up or ..

Orrin Hatch, Chuck Grassley. Bob Dole's plan wasn't all that different than Obama's (although we didn't get all of Obama's).
