You play the chords with your left hand right? So you have to know the right chords so that when you play, you will be on tune. It's kinda hard guessing which chords you have to use.

the right hand is easy to figure out. just listen to the voice, trial and error and you're get the melody of the piece!

but getting the chord is the trickier, you'll have to listen to the bass/accompaniment of the song. once you know the chord, you can arrange how you wanna play the chord in the piece, and play the piece.

erm... if you play it by ear, there is alot of trial and error just to get the right key right? or u can perfect it on the first try?

Well for me, it depends on the song and how many times I've listened to it before I actually tried and played it.

This song, I listened to it a lot of times for two days, and it took me 15-20 minutes to TRY and perfect every note :3 I usually can't get it on first try ^_^; thanks for the comment!
