  • Just up the hill from there at the jump at the top, A Mini Cooper S crashed in 2010 rolling 6 times and getting air born, they were running the stage in the opposite direction, so he was coming down the hilll. its crazy, how what some people would say how can you get it wrong on that section, can cause some of the biggest accidents, remarkable crashes on that section, but it proves the true stregth of the car and drivers.

  • one of there helmets cam on

  • Lucky I gave up rallying my Sunbeam in 1989.

    Good Video.

  • nice

  • funny thing is even after this drivers were still pushing it over the jump, crazy bastards

    ha ha

  • ooo nice one there m8t good idea

  • Excellent video!

  • the crash was quite spectacular.....did you get payed for the video?

  • Please read previous posts, no I did and have not been paid for the video. If I do receive any money it will be donated to the air ambulance.

  • nice vid there , you wernt the one that sold it to GMTV news?

  • No. If any money is made from this it will go to the air ambulance. Any offers??????

  • it been played on new zealand news twice this week

  • Amazing they survived

  • 5 point harnesses are nice sometimes

  • They showed it a few times on Sky Sports News late last night! You're hero's now!

    Glad your both OK!

  • this just shows how fearless some drivers are

  • thank god they walked !! im sure they will love looking at your footage , and how polite you are to get permission , we all love a drama , that the fun of sport !! keep filming girl !!

  • Thank you

  • Amazing to think , bumps and bruises are all they came away with . Very lucky , but also credit to them for building such a strong car . Hope they get back out on the stages soon .

  • "I have permission from the driver to show this footage"

Whoever took this footage owns it, they need no permission from anybody to show it.

  • I was giving the crew respect in asking them to put it on here. It was for their benefit as I was asked to put it on.

  • Pictures in todays SUN newspaper

  • he, darren pool IS my brother, no joke

  • glad hes ok

  • Darren is remarkable and after speaking to him on Monday even more remarkable! we just want to see him back rallying again and that's what it is all about!!!

  • owenmorgan23 got best footage an at least he actuali put his camera down to help the crew out the car an think about them not havin the best video

  • There were enough spectators around to help the crew and not being sexist but being a women I do not think there was anything I could do. I dont think I have the best video, I thought I could show people that the sport can be dangerous but if you go by the rules as far as safety is concerned, you can walk away from things like this. If the crew had not been ok then this footage would not of been shown, I got permission from the crew before putting it on here to give them the chance to see it.

  • wow lucky bastards

  • does the navigators helmet actually come off? nevertheless a well built car. and good news to hear they are both ok

  • The drivers helmet came off according to swedish newspapers.

  • The drivers helmet did come off, on the 4th roll he then rolled 3 more times. Darren and Chris are ok thankfully and it was down to the spectators that got them out, I do disagree with filming that part of it though!!!

  • I am sorry if I have offended in any way.

  • great spot dude. good vid.

  • It was the drivers helmet that came off.

I take my hat off to the spectators, they were first at the scene so if any assistance that was needed they would of done, e.g stuck seat belts, pressure on wounds etc, the marshals did a good job but personally thought they would of been quicker.

Yep co-driver and driver are fine, a few black eyes but alive.

  • Darren (the driver) had his his lid come off during the spin in the air, got a nasty bang to the head for it too. Very lucky, could have been a lot worse.

  • i was there and i think everyone just wanted to help

  • I was at the rally and last we heard at prize giving is that the two guys are ok but very sore.

What annoys me is the fact the all the spectators go running over and get in the way, stand around and look to see if there is any blood and guts. The marshalls are wandering around aimlessly instead of getting all non essential people away from the scene so that the lads can be sorted out quickly. Speedy recovery lads

  • Why are you contradicting yourself? If the marshals are walking round aimlessly and the speccies are at the car is that not better than everyone walking around aimlessly? Looks like the first 3 speccies are actually helping the driver to me!

  • My brother and I were at the car and we actually helped Darren (the driver) crawl out of the his window. Contrary to what you say, the spectators did listen to the marshalls and did get out of they way if told. The marshalls did an awesome job of removing anyone that was in the way and clearing the way for the ambulances. It was a horrific incident well handled by the staff on the rally. Glad to hear that Darren and Chris are ok.

  • Well said!!!! My husband helped Darren out to and it was extrmelly well organised!

  • I have been given permission from the driver to put this on here. Glad to hear they are both ok.
