I have a small problem with this particular video, and I am a Liberal. At least, in some respects. And while I support Health care reform, I think that LV might have unfairly spun this particular report when stating that Liberman changed sides at a crucial point for the insurance lobbyists. While it was that crucial moment, I do think he might be playing it too hard to the left if he states it as he did, both as a fact and at the end. Just my opinion, but I still enjoy the station. Keep it up!

I think LV knows what he is doing and I agree with him. A vast number of channels will have bias, it's hard to not have them. Yet I find LV using stats and sources (and not just venom) as a good way point-out the spin and holes in the obviously bias FOX news program.
You say that it is "JUST as bad", I disagree. It would be interesting to have a "ConservativeViewer" pointing out holes in NBC using facts and research too.

@Utube, it is difficult to find examples of the type of rampant partisan bias Fox routinely exhibits on any legitimate network. So LV has taken it upon himself to document those egregious biases for us. Anyone is welcome to do what LV does. They can't, because the legitimate networks simply are not guilty to anywhere near the same degree. There are minor, trivial things from time to time, to be sure. But they honestly strive for fairness and accuracy, unlike Fox, which is a GOP organ.
Ever heard of Newsbusters? That's a website that documents liberal media bias EVERYDAY- several times a day. Libviewer struggles to come out with good examples on a weekly basis from Fox. NB averages around 10 posts A DAY- EVERYDAY
Granted some of the stuff is stretching (just like LV does at times). But in regards to sheer volume, there is an extremely large amount of liberal media bias in comparison to conservative bias.
I checked out NewsBusters. Their top "liberal" story was about potential risk from raw eggnog. The second item took issue with an editorial error. Good call--but not up to the distortions routinely seen on Fox. ADM's pressure on the Clinton administration got them to ease some trade restrictions. NB would have you think this was Bush's doing, apparently. Bush admin tightened restrictions. Yah. Most NB stuff seems remarkably tame in comparison. Thanks for pointing me to it!

What they do best, IMO, is exposing how news anchors/organizations treat members of each party differently. It's rather disturbing to see how, in many cases, party affiliation is ignored or buried by the press in Dem scandals, but prominently featured with Repubs.

There's a story on NB about how some MSNBCers have been asking GOP guys if they're just "being mean" about not supporting healthcare and implying it's their fault that the Senate might stay through Christmas (Unlikely now that Nelson's been bought).
Those are perspective based questions. Especially considering that Dems have the numbers to do it on their own. The GOP isn't what's keeping it from getting done.

NONE of the examples on the front page at Newsbusters showed factual misstatements or omissions to further a partisan agenda like what I document on Fox News. Also, I don't "struggle," but actually have too much Fox material for the amount of time I have to make videos

In the Cuba story, it's the BLOGGER's misinterpretation of "the trade" (Just google "Cuba has not purchased any U.S. agricultural products ON A CASH BASIS since the 2005 rule"). And, Shuster is a case of story selection not a factual omission like what I documented in THIS video

I can't speak for LV but in my opinion, the problem I have with Fox is not with its bias, but it's claim to be 'Fair and Balanced' motto when it is clear that they are not. Although other networks have bias on their own, they never claim to be unbias at any time. However, the biggest problem I have is Fox's consistent unethical journalism. Making false statements, cutting footage to service its own bias.

Bias comes from how information is presented so it is very much influenced by the personal believes of the presenter. This is something you can't control, much like sunrise and the tides. But a normal person would be able to decipher what is rational and what is not. Maybe it's harder for you.

Bias is NOT inevitable. You CHOOSE to be objective, reasonable, and rational, or you CHOOSE not to be. You give nasty, you get nasty. It's not inevitable, it's a choice. Okay.... Your nation is completely broke, and you've got to convince your base that you're going to provide "universal coverage." What do you do, if you're Obama? You gut Medicare, while forcing everyone to buy private insurance. If they don't buy it, the government gets a little bit of revenue through fines.
Remember - Health care is never free. Pre-paid, perhaps. Nothing is free. And Obama is not some humanitarian for vowing to spend other people's money on a government program.

This bill doesn't have anything to do with health care, which can only properly be provided by a health care professional.

This bill forces everyone to buy a commodity, most people don't even need. If they want to bring cost down they, would REDUCE the number of insured, not increase it. or better yet, MTODB!

I can't disagree with you more. Health care should not be a right. Your right stops at you. You have a right to do whatever you want within your private boundaries. It does not extend beyond that. You have a right to provide health care to yourself but you don't have a right to force someone to provide you with health care when they don't want to. They do it out of the goodness of their heart, or they won't because they're jerks, but you can't force it upon them to provide those services.
It's also funny enough that when Bill O'Reilly had that poor kid on there who was against the wars in the middle-east, despite the fact that his father was killed on 9-11, he actually DID attack that guys family. "What does YOUR MOTHER think of this? Your family must be ashamed!" I have a small problem with this particular video, and I am a Liberal. At least, in some respects. And while I support Health care reform, I think that LV might have unfairly spun this particular report when stating that Liberman changed sides at a crucial point for the insurance lobbyists. While it was that crucial moment, I do think he might be playing it too hard to the left if he states it as he did, both as a fact and at the end. Just my opinion, but I still enjoy the station. Keep it up!

I think LV knows what he is doing and I agree with him. A vast number of channels will have bias, it's hard to not have them. Yet I find LV using stats and sources (and not just venom) as a good way point-out the spin and holes in the obviously bias FOX news program.
You say that it is "JUST as bad", I disagree. It would be interesting to have a "ConservativeViewer" pointing out holes in NBC using facts and research too.

@Utube, it is difficult to find examples of the type of rampant partisan bias Fox routinely exhibits on any legitimate network. So LV has taken it upon himself to document those egregious biases for us. Anyone is welcome to do what LV does. They can't, because the legitimate networks simply are not guilty to anywhere near the same degree. There are minor, trivial things from time to time, to be sure. But they honestly strive for fairness and accuracy, unlike Fox, which is a GOP organ.

Granted some of the stuff is stretching (just like LV does at times). But in regards to sheer volume, there is an extremely large amount of liberal media bias in comparison to conservative bias.

I checked out NewsBusters. Their top "liberal" story was about potential risk from raw eggnog. The second item took issue with an editorial error. Good call--but not up to the distortions routinely seen on Fox. ADM's pressure on the Clinton administration got them to ease some trade restrictions. NB would have you think this was Bush's doing, apparently. Bush admin tightened restrictions. Yah. Most NB stuff seems remarkably tame in comparison. Thanks for pointing me to it!

There's a story on NB about how some MSNBCers have been asking GOP guys if they're just "being mean" about not supporting healthcare and implying it's their fault that the Senate might stay through Christmas (Unlikely now that Nelson's been bought).
Those are perspective based questions. Especially considering that Dems have the numbers to do it on their own. The GOP isn't what's keeping it from getting done.

I can't speak for LV but in my opinion, the problem I have with Fox is not with its bias, but it's claim to be 'Fair and Balanced' motto when it is clear that they are not. Although other networks have bias on their own, they never claim to be unbias at any time. However, the biggest problem I have is Fox's consistent unethical journalism. Making false statements, cutting footage to service its own bias.

Bias comes from how information is presented so it is very much influenced by the personal believes of the presenter. This is something you can't control, much like sunrise and the tides. But a normal person would be able to decipher what is rational and what is not. Maybe it's harder for you.

This bill doesn't have anything to do with health care, which can only properly be provided by a health care professional.
It isn't about health care cost. It's about health INSURANCE, which is neither a right nor a privilege, it is a COMMODITY.

I can't disagree with you more. Health care should not be a right. Your right stops at you. You have a right to do whatever you want within your private boundaries. It does not extend beyond that. You have a right to provide health care to yourself but you don't have a right to force someone to provide you with health care when they don't want to. Everyone who says this is not a fair analysis has to open their eyes. its the same thing liberals have always been blamed for...pushing through legislation that benefits friends, government kickbacks, and so on. The fact is, he gets major donations from the companies he is protecting.

Lieberman flip-flopped because he is in the pocket of the health insurance industry. He has been corrupted by the power that comes with being a senator and can't stand losing that power now. So when the health care industry told him to flip, he flipped. As someone who lives in Connecticut I'm ashamed that our senator cares more about money then he does the lives of innocent people.

Joe Lieberman was bought. Much like Glenn Beck was bought by gold companies, Joe was bought by insurance companies. The problem with the American government at this point are the lobbyists. Important choices are made by people that are to represent the American people, but so many don't and are bought by companies.
