  • i remember when we whent fishing in eco park they where filming an episode of adam 12 and we got to meet both pete and jim reed

  • I'm 43 now; even to this day this was my most favorite television program as a kid. Once I grew out of Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street this was it for me. I also enjoyed Emergency! I am watching them all over again on my Netflix subcription. This is just a great show! My best childhood friend and I would role-play these characters; we usually fought over who could be Malloy! This show is television history.

  • Back when the miranda law was new

  • best show.

  • Great show. What do you think Reed & Malloy would say about LAPD today?

  • I have wondered what Jack Webb, the producer of Adam-12 and Dragnet, would think of LAPD today?

  • Hes not thinking much anymore.

  • You are correct! He died very young! RIP Jack Webb

  • The best 10 second of this show's history:

(Pete and Jim pull over a hippie, and Pete comes to the driver's side of the vehicle)

    Hippie: Hi.

    Pete: I don't know--are you?

  • That's exactly what America needs - more white male role models on television.

  • All the police series from the 60,s and 70,s were great shows that should be aired, the Adam 12 intro music is excellent.

  • this show is cool! I have all of them

  • In Webb We Trust.

  • ilikenakedmen ,

No, the liberals (communists, fascists) are the ones who corrupted our police and made them what they are today. Gullible, sheep like" citizens like you help perpetuate it.

I hope you're a woman because your YouTube user name sounds pretty GAY (liberal).

  • Why doesn't TV Land show Adam 12 or Dragnet instead showing the Andy Griffith show or I love Lucy 30 times a day.

  • I'm with you; what is their problem? They air Adam-12, Dragnet, and Emergency! and obviously there are enough fans out there to warrant it being on the air, but the idiots at Viacom just won't air them!

  • I work in television. A possible answer is Viacom does not want Gen Y to start preferring these shows to cheaper, easier to crank out, lower-quality shows its many subsidiaries are making. YOUR and OUR prefering these shows is not a problem. If the millions in Generation Y start to prefer them, however, Viacom = problem, because they don't produce these kinds of shows today and no longer remember how to.

    But that's just my opinion.

  • This was from a time when we belived in our POLICE and knew they were really they good guys who protected us

  • Nice...very nice.

    How bout' them cowboys?

  • YOU ARE AN IGNORANT FUCK. Instead of asking the question you say I should be an aborted fetus? What a fucking brainwashed idiot.

  • I am not a liberal, get your head out of your ass. I have been a Liberarian since I was old enough to see how stupid our 2 party political system is. Tell me, what is the difference between a 21st century Conservative, and a 21st century liberal? Last I checked they are both anti-THE PEOPLE...

  • 1968

  • The 1968 Plymouth Belvedere was the choice of all Police Departments back in the day.

  • I remember reading that they used one of the real LAPD dispatchers for the voice over in the opening.

  • Ah, the days of DECENT Police! To serve and protect.the PEOPLE!!! The new batches protect the government!!

  • I use to watch this show all the time, it was one of my favorites have a few DVD and VHS of some the show would love to have the entire series,Martin Milner was my favorite, loved Kent McCord too

  • 0r how it changed during the first season the pilot was different than this one.

  • Where's the opening with "1-Adam-12, 1-Adam-12, a 211 in progress, 1-Adam-12, handle code 3"?

I'd love to especially see the Adam-12 openings where you hear that 4-barreled big block police package engine opening up!

  • Actually that opening didn't come along until season three (that was the first one, where the boys were seen in the 1968 Belvedere as they were seen in the first two seasons). The one you're talking about is season four; that's the one where they are running out of the station as the dispatcher gives the call and that big block police package opens up.

  • a fight with chains AND knives? holy schnikee!

  • When I was 7 years old I couldn't wait for Wednesday nights to watch this show. Now I am 41 and it is still the best damn cop series ever made.

  • You and me BOTH. I am also your age and all these years later my favorite.

  • Me too. It was the first primetime show I can remember watching religiously. I was only six when it started and I remained a fan for its whole run.

  • I'm in my 40's and it was the primary reason I became a cop. The show was and is true to life. Second runner up would be Wambaugh's Police Story. Thanks for posting:)

  • Thank you for your service. (I grew up with Adam 12/Police Story too.)

  • one of the best cop shows period !!!!
