  • hey i was looking for a good sight for my ar15 bushmaster O.R.C

  • does it have a green setting?

  • Comment removed

  • i got one of theis for my airsoft gun its great the screen filter tip realy helped :)

  • Chuck greenslate?

  • Have you tried out any Russian optics yet Sootch?

  • what no parallax test............

  • thats not a 1 moa, its a 4 moa dot

  • do you think it can handle a full auto m4? the glass might come off with those cheap reddot

    maybe you can test it?

  • do your ironsights not get in the way?

  • That dot looks huge

  • How long does the battery last?

  • made in china..

  • When you say "you guys in the field", whom specifically, are you talking about/to?

  • 好像是中国做的

  • I'm going to put this on my Kel Tec SU-16C when I get one hopefully soon ^.^.

  • .....but this one goes to eleven :D

  • @ashguitar666 lol spinal tap

  • trololololol imagine this little ding on a airsoft gun hmmm I JUST MIGHT TRY THAT :D

  • @Chaoswillkillyou arisoft faget

  • I have a Hawke scope almost exactly the same as this. Fantastic for non magnification sighting, much better than Iron sights.

For long range rifle shooting though it will be a pain, you do not have the ability to guestimate/kentucy windage because of the nature of the floating reticule

  • i wanna put it on my nerf longshot ;)

  • Most standard red dot sight ever, Previously Ive this red dot sight and I upgrade my M4 with EO Tech. red dot sight still nice.

  • Could anyone tell me when Red-Dot-Sights were first mass produced, and when they were invented?

  • Be advised, both eyes open does not work for left eye dominant shooters. If you are left eye dominant and shoot right-handed, it is impossible to shoot without closing one eye be it iron sights, LER scopes, or red dots. Chalk it up as a disadvantage, but you'll just have to use cover and concealment to make up for lost field of vision.

  • Damn rednecks

  • i will be comeing in to some money soon and i will be buying an ar-15 and i could get a $250 scope would you still recomend this sight if not is ther any red dots for around $250 thanks and love your vids

  • press 8 and he'll admit it actually sucks

  • Will this fit on my RPG?

  • @59theblackmamba I put it on my Fal and took it up to the range to sight in. Worked pretty good. One thing i like is the rubber protectors on either end help keep the sight very snug to the scope rails. I could wish for the dot to be a little smaller, but its pretty good for 75 dollars. Make sure turn the sight off after using it. I had to hunt around for more cr2032 batteries after leaving mine on for a few weeks.

  • Hi, Do you know if this scope is parallax free?

  • Mine goes up to eleven!

  • Whats your feeling on the 50MM over the 30MM for an ar-15?

  • How does it look at nigh/in the dark? The sight picture, that is.

  • you could tell that gun was part of the M series

  • just got a tasco red dot sight

  • will flip up rear sight work with it to

  • would it fit on 10/22 ?

    thanks

  • is that the M16A3 or A4 but i know it uses the 5.56mm round

  • I just got this scope, the front red lens seems like its slanted to the right side, is this normal?

  • Sick asssssssssss

  • will this fit on a pistol to carbine coversion kit from CAA RONI for glock 17?

  • how do u adjust the red dot???????

  • sootch00 Have you set yours up on the AR platform cowitnessed to the iron sights? And if so what was your setup?

  • naniitterukazenzenwakanna~iですねあほどもがwwwwアーホアーホデ~ス~ネ~~~wwww

  • I had some less than stellar results with mine. It works well enough, but it is NOT well suited to foul weather. The front cover broke, and it fogged badly. It stayed working, but the fog was a big engative.

(this was on a day shooting ~650 rounds, in the rain)

    Here's my review - v=6XYTRwHQZZ8

It maintained zero, and once the fog cleared, it worked well enough.

  • Mine broke after about 5 shots. Mounted to my AK-47 with the UTG quick release mount and the second layer of glass in the front cracked and chipped inside the sight in the front of it. It was cold out so maybe this is a summer time only red dot. The temp was around 25 F does this sound normal for optics to fail in the cold?

  • this is a 3-5moa red dot, not 1 moa.

  • Hey Sootch, thanks for the review! Have you had a chance to handle the 50mm version? I wanna get it, but I'm afraid it's too big. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

  • did i hear you correctly? did you say it is a ONE MOA dot? dangit man thats good, most red dot sights are 5 MOA

  • that website is very good, might get 1 of the really cheap scpes to put on my airsoft gun because the 1s they suply are plastic garbage

  • how far can you hit with a red dot

  • Good review

  • i love ur Accent lol

  • good review.

and judging by your videos. i would go to your house in a zombie apocalypse with my shot guns and i dont think many of those zombies would come anywhere near it hahaha

  • I got one but the gun to mount it on broke:(

  • would it withsatnd the 7x62x39 on an ak ?

  • I was amused all until he turned it and it said...... "Made in China".

  • show us the scope u dickhead

  • Hey sootch i have a "Barska" Illuminated Red Dot Sight and its almost exactly like yours but when I try to zero it, it moves with my position in my shoulder its practically impossible to zero do u have any suggestions?

  • Hey sootch! Would u recommend this sight for a ruger 22/45? I think it may look a little funky... But I trust you opinion! Thanks, Kyle

  • Salakmisin sen be Adam Gotune Kacacak Yakinda

  • sootch, in your opinion how does this stack up against an aimpoint? have you found any paralax with this sight?

  • @blamsamblam87 This is a great little sight for the money but doesn't compare with the Aimpoint. The Aimpoint quality is over the top and made for hard use. No paralax, the sight seems to be clear and holds up well.

  • mount my rubber... a little bit difficult to do with my camera.....

    srry... just gotta say it

  • Do you know a bake for this Red Dot that would allow a 100% Co-witness on an AR-15 using Troy Flip ups sights?? Thanks!

  • Sootch, would you recommend this over a Truglo? How well does it hold it's zero? Thanks!

  • @Lexesbenz I've had good success with the Leatherwood M30. For the money, it's a good sight. Thanks~

  • @sootch00

    Thanks!

  • @sootch00 Dont you think the holographic sights are a bit better?

  • does bushnell, tasco, and, bsa have good red dots

  • Comment removed

  • if i were to use this for paintball , do you think it could withstand the impact of the paintball itself?

  • the orange glow makes it look awesome! if i get enough money i might either get this or an acog, but this is real and i play airsoft

  • has anyone heard of a magnifying red dot scope?

  • Helpful video! Im no longer searching.

  • My cousin says in afghanistan he didn't like the scope because it drains the battery

  • I'm considering getting the Tapco Intrafuse stock for my Ruger 10/22, will this fit on that picatinny rail? Also, what is the battery life on this if you use it somewhat regularily (2, maybe three times a week). Lastly, how easy is it go get it on and off because I would still like to practice with iron sights for obvious reasons.

  • Hi, watched this review and bought the item to put on Sig Sauer 522.

    thank you.

  • Thanx Sootch, I will be ordering mine next week! I really dig learning stuff from you and all of TNP!!! THANX!

  • Good information, will be useful for helping to decide what type of optics one can get. God Bless the U.S.A.~ Semper Fi!

  • I just got my Leatherwood Hi-Lux Redot in 30mm. 75 bucks on optics planet and free shipping. I have it sitting on my Century Arms FAL and i hope to take it out soon and zero it.

Thank you for all your video's; i find them informative and entertaining!

  • hi sootch00! got my cmr 3days ago. haven't try it yet on the range. Thanks so much. Just viewing this video of m-30 hi-lux. Is this built solely for .223/5.56? how about for .308? thanks

  • wow it seems like they addeed toooooooons of highmoney features in that scope.

Now, what are the downsides of this scope? Does this thing not have that say an aimpoint (just seem similar to me) has? I want to get one from this video but what would sets the $500 price difference...just name? Does the scope lose zero easily? Because its made in China? Its just everthing screams $2-300 scope

  • got exactly the same one but different brand for only $25 and i love this sight

  • @customh666 so it wouldn't really be the "exact same" rather but more like completely different? considering they were made by two different companies. Like saying you have the same tacoma as your buddy but its a ranger...

  • got exactly the same one only different brand and plastic covers for only 25$

  • Sootch...thanks for the excellent review of this optic! I didnt know this company even existed....I guess I have been under a rock! I purchased this optic based on your youtube review and I am very happy with it! What an excellent product for the price! It will complement my Bushmaster Carbon 15 M4 Flat top Carbine nicely!

    Thanks again and God Bless!

  • @frostheev hey could you tell me how the batteries hold up? i would ask sootch but he's really busy so i doubt he will answer me, which is ok ofcourse. thanks id appreciate it :)

  • @chewbuggars So far the batteries are holding up well, however I have only had this optic for three weeks now! Just remeber to turn the optic off when storing! That is the only difference that I can see between this optic and an Aimpoint optic. Aimpoint touts an 80,000 hour battery life! But for the money an Aimpoint costs as opposed to the Leatherwood, I can buy alot of batteries!

  • @frostheev oh wow 3 weeks!! for me that's great! its better than what i expected, and who knows maybe they will last a lot longer! :D thanks for the quick response man, and i agree with what you say about Aimpoint haha. i whish i could get an aimpoint but kinda poor at the time, so im glad i got this leatherwood, i ordered one today :D thanks for making my decision feel like the right one :)

  • wait with that red dot r u line'n up the front post with the red dot

  • Got mine from Sportsmansguide for $61 shipped. They matched a price on another website.

  • only an idiot would buy an 11,000 dls scope you dont need a fucking sight to hit a target unless you have a crappy vision.

  • does this work for a paintball gun?

  • @luisespinax yes

  • Can you adjust to view dot, crosshair, etc.?

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you, Im on a tight buget and I will put it on my list :)

    Stephen

  • Just ordered mine! Thanks sooch for the great review, ill let you know what I think when I get it.

  • I'm just curious. Is LeatherWood an American company? Is that made in the USA?

  • can someone tell me about the battery life on this? how does it compare to the burris, aimpoint T-1, Konus- T-1, sig saur, bushnell trophy trs-25.

  • good sight i hav it relly good

  • @TheMaxwell777 OF course I know dude, xD Im just messing around, obtw im level 70 in the first prestige

  • @TheMaxwell777 Dude what do you mean "modern warfare 2" ?

  • @TheMaxwell777 whats mw2?

  • You can get this same model for 49.99 at midway. I just grabbed one for my ak. Came with the flip up covers.

  • Will this fit on a smith and wesson m&p 15-22?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @fenderboy08 Yes, it should fit the S&W M&P 22lr Rifle. Thank you~

  • @sootch00 would this be pair well with the magpul backupsights?

  • Yes...it fits the M&P 15/22. Got one on mine....Best Bang for the Buck Red Dot!!!

  • @fenderboy08 Yes it will.

I purchased one bout a year ago. Put it on my M&P 15-22.

Have no problems with it at all. I can put rounds through the same hole

time after time at 50 yrds.

  • @sootch00 lol indeed

  • @sootch00 hey you know of any high quality magnifiers for red dot i own an aimpoint Ml3 and love it but buying a 3x magnifier for 600 bucks seems purty steep. I own a Steyr AUG with 223 rounds and wanted something that is not gonna break on me so easy. I love red dot up to 200 meters with a magnifier i can probably shoot 500 meters but for 1200 dollars total is kinda pricey. for 600 bucks i could get a scope that would be sweet up to maybe 1000 meters.

  • @1995ParkourMaster wow, you sure did hurt him, I bet he cried when he read that. And man you sure have a large vocabulary.

  • will this sight fit on a 3/8 base on a buckmark?

  • will it fit on like a buckmark on a 3/8" ?

  • I really wish i could buy a Eotech but there crazy expensive.

  • @dopeskis At my local shop Ithey can get the 512 for 365 dollars.

  • how's the accuracy?

  • quality site for a new SIG 522 or like 'tactical' 22 for playing around..

  • god bless america before they go to hell!!

  • Scootch, Do you still own Leatherwood M-30 optic and is it still functioning okay?? -- Now $78 on optics planet website, but I see it has flip-up-covers that go along with the rubber protectors. :-)

  • @moFirearms Yes, I still own the M-30. It's perfect for up close and personal. I like the new flip-up covers. Excellent optic for the money. Thanks~

  • Thanks for the review

I just bought a Sabre Defence M 4 Tactical that just about broke me and i needed an affordable red dot.

Thanks for all you do Sir.

BTW the Sabre m4 is a great rifle.

  • is the lense 30mm?

  • Keep the videos coming, good stuff.

  • sootch00-How is the parallax on this sight?Once sighted in can you move your head and still be on?

  • Hi Don, Just a heads-up: this is listed by Leatherwood as having a 3-5 MOA dot (which I assume is determined by the selected brightness level). Looked a bit big in the video for a 1 MOA, so thought I'd look :) It does, though, have 1 MOA adjustments for windage/elevation. Dot size is not great, of course, for longer distance precision shooting. But in the more likely scenario (for most of us, anyway) of CQB the larger dot's advantage is, as you know, often quicker target acquisition. (cont)

  • @ToBeKlaw Thanks for the research my friend. I'll have to test the "killflash" potential with this scope cover screen. Maybe when I review my Ghillie Suit : ) Much appreciated!

  • (cont) Great idea for the homemade 'KillFLASH', btw. Would love to see a test showing just how effective that screening is, say behind cover or concealment, compared to open glass. Great advice for the masses too, especially in this economy, towards economically priced yet reliable and durable optics. Thanks so much for doing the 'leg work' on this stuff, and taking the time to share it with us!

    God bless :) Michael

  • hey, i was wondering, how do you think this would work on a paintball gun?

  • can you see the recticles in brite daylight

  • @jango67 I was shooting in bright sunlight shooting this video and it worked well.. It has eleven brightness settings for different light conditions.. It's a Red Dot with no reticle. Thanks~

  • FAMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOT AR15!

  • u dont even show how it work

  • thanks for posting i just got one from amazon for $75.

  • I'm looking for a red dot sight to mount on my 590A1 shotgun. Do you think this sight will hold up to the abuse from a 12gauge slug? I've read many reviews on this sight. Some are good & some bad. However, I haven't found much with regards to it's use on a shotgun. If you give me the thumbs up then I think I'm going to give it a try. I trust your judgement and highly value your opinion. Please, let me know what you think. Thanks.

  • @amaya1000rr Well myself I own aimpoint M3 which is military grade equipment for sights. Shock proof, water proof up to 50meters it cost me 600 bucks including the larue mount and protective jacket for it. You never know maybe one day i have to go shooting underwater while i scuba dive if SHTF. One thing is if you are firing large ammo don't skimp on sights cause the shock will break them.

  • leatherwood!!!!!

  • Hey Sootch00 or anyone else that has purchased this optic, about how many hours does one of those batteries last for?

  • @num1pcminer I haven't tested the battery life because I had left the sight on repeatedly and the battery ran dead. I added a mark to the off button so I wouldn't forget. Even with that said, the battery lasted a long time. I have fresh batteries and will have to test. Thanks~

  • Did you say 75 American dollars? If so, I'm totally sold.

  • got this optic thanks to your video, same price but this one came with flip up dust covers. love it. i did have to sight it in, but it is surprisingly accurate for such an affordable optic. thanks.

  • Ok man-I got a question-Doesnt that front sight get in the way of your field of view?

  • @Jeenyus1983 The front sight makes it easier to sight it and doesn't block your target. It's also an added bonus. If I ever have battery failure, it can be used as the sight. A fold down front sight would be better. Thanks~

  • I was just curious-not trying to troll your channel or anything...I have 2 ar's with 9 power scopes and I dont know how it works but I cant see my front sight at all! Youd think it wasnt there by looking through the optics!-I'm looking for a scope like this for my sks...-looks like a great aimpoint alternative!-I cant see spending 750 bucks and not get any magnification! who distributes these?

  • i was just going to ask that..

  • do you thing this would work on a pellet gun?

  • does a bear shit in the woods?

  • yea but that still doesent answer my question and it didnt asshole

  • Ok-I was being a dick but -there are weaver/picatinny mounts integrated into the base of the scope... so that can be mounted to anything even if the pellet gun doesnt have mounts-you can get a tap and die kit and tap the holes yourself... then order a 10 dollar rail online and PRESTO-optics on a pellet gun!

  • thanks

  • waterproof,shockproof.... fogproof? nitrogen filled?

im in the market for a cheaper decent sight for my cx4 storm that can still be used as an open sight. im torn between the bushnell trophy or this (leaning this way atm) the bushnell has mixed reviews but cant find to much hard info on this either :/

  • So this isn't recommended for 7.62x39?

  • @goodoleboy17 No, Whatever caliber you choose. It works well on my AR-15 or AK-47 :)

  • hey do you know where to get ak 47 rounds for cheap , like online maybe?

  • Awesome vid. Glad you post up high value(get a lot for what you pay for) products.

  • a couple of things wrong.

    1, that is spelled sight

2, that is a scope, not a sight.

  • You are correct that it's spelled "Sight" but incorrect that it's a scope. Scope is magnified. Red Dot Sight with no magnification. We're both 50-50... not bad.

  • ok well, at least u fixed it!

  • LMFAO, an airsoft TROLL. Did I spell that right diptsh!t?
