As JIm Hoffman said they were not experienced pilots. Its just the interviewers remark about last minute compassion is ludicrous and should be laughed off by Jim to ensure his credibility. He's being kind I think. One assumed it is a more difficult to fly in lower down.

Granted, their nor experienced, but I would imagine that the significance of performing a top-gun maneuver into the Pentagon is much higher than flying a little lower into the tower(and again, later as well). I'm no pilot, so that's speculative, but seems fairly rational.

Oh Yes, I had not considered the Pentagon in this. Perhaps the best pilot took the pentagon job on. Silly though it sounds. ps Remember the burning towers in South Lebanon. It was symbolic for Bin Laden. I know you don't believe he was in this but if you read about him he does state the burning towers of Lebanon sowed the seed of his idea to take revenge. Symbolism was the key maybe not victim calculations.

NIST never submitted their report for peer review. 7 years later they tried to explain how building 7 fell and they still did not submit their report for peer review. The airliners were completely capable of the speeds they reached. I don't know where people come up with these wild theories on these planes. They don't know what they are talking about. My friend flies a 767. I asked him all of these silly questions.

"I could fly the plane at full speed at 100 feet if i wanted to. The altitude has no bearing on the engine performance"..

@roquefortfiles If that's true then Boeing needs to revise it's VMO/MMO flight limitations review. Boeing's flight limitations review has a graph in it. The graph clearly does not go above 350 KIAS. In the flight limitations review, Boeing states that attempting to exceed VMO will result in loss of control and decreasing flight characteristics. Now if you have different information from Boeing, I would like to see it. Until then, 911 remains an INSIDE JOB.

How?  Every single hijacker was confirmed on the aircraft by at least 3 verifiable avenues. The ticket agent who allowed them to board. The on board flight crew who ID'd seat assignments which was then phoned in to ground ops at each airline. The ground ops have been interviewed about this.

@roquefortfiles I notice that you have conveniently avoided the discussion of the plane speeds. Physics and aerodynamics. I trust those more than computers and the testimony of witnesses. Physics and aerodynamics says that a 767 cannot fly 420 or 510 knots at 700 feet. You will be unable to produce a scientifically verified instance of a 767 exceeding VMO by that much and being able to maintain control. The plane would have destroyed itself long before reaching any "targets".

A terrorist would not have the skill needed to pilot a 767 at that altitude and that speed. You can't do it in a simulator in a thousand times and there is no way the plane would have made it to the target before being destroyed by structural failure. We know who you are.
