I looked up incentive tax. The only reference I can find is the use of TAX CUTS as an incentive. A tax incentive is a TAX CUT. Whatever this "Incentive Tax" is it will be paid by the average Joe. Businesses don't pay taxes. They collect taxes.

Though beneficial at the time, this program is no longer relevant. Senators in non farming states give concessions for agricultural subsidies in return for support on a different bill. The food purchased by the gov't is stored in warehouses (and typically ends up rotting). Farming is now a coprorate industry and family farmers are a minority.

@fullcd I agree with your concern, but the problem lies with farming subsidies. During the Great Depression many farmers were jobless. Though beneficial at the time, this program is no longer relevant. Senators in non farming states give concessions for agricultural subsidies in return for support on a different bill. The food purchased by the gov't is stored in warehouses (and typically ends up rotting). Farming is now a coprorate industry and family farmers are a minority.

Don't you get it? The corporations are FOR cap and trade. Why you ask? Very simple. Carbon credits will be up for sale or auction to the highest bidder. The richest corporations will "gobble up" the majority of them. I suppose you'll say, "Yeah, but gee, they'll get the penalty of having to dish out a lot of money for them." You're right, they will spend a lot, but they HAVE a lot to spend. So, they will out spend the competition and have ALL the credits. They will then posses a monopoly

See Chicago Climate Exchange that Obama and AL Gore help start and promote. See the ones that help fund that Exchange.
