  • fisher island is the bigest bunch of scumbags out there the shit floats to the top ie jim politis andres vidal and buce mcinon.

  • Floridas NON RICH are their own worse enemies. They DO NOT vote thus the same Florida fascist Reps ESP in S.Florida stay in power. Stop whining register and VOTE OUT EVERY REP in this fascist state.

Those that dont vote are worse than Floridas fascists

  • As a former resident, I can tell you that these protesters periodically pull these stunts. In reality, this is a does labor union that claims the workers are abused. Notice they are fighting with the workers, as the residents do not much mind them. The workers hate it far more - these people infringe on their right to make a living without their involvement or union dues.

  • Someone really needs to set that island a blaze, just give it some time..

  • he should have took more signs so you loosers go back and try to pay for more signs!! hahahaha

  • hahaha go mike!!! he is in the collection club with me. ahahahahahaha

  • What I like about this video is that it is open to comments. It is important to allow people to comment. Other videos about this issue have closed that option.

  • Notice that SEIU has a "Video Response" which they call a "Documentary". Michael Moore's Farces don't begin to shake a stick at how obsurd this is!

In today's day and age, to compare this to what Martin Luther King went through is an insult to HIS memory!

The only people getting rich off unionizing will be the unions!

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

  • Your an idiot, no one is getting rich off of union organizing. It just that rich bastards are getting a little less rich, and poor ppl are getting a little more opportunity.

  • Unions like SEIU are the scum of the Earth and use strong handed tactics to bully around employees for their own personal gain. There are service employee unions out there that aren't out for their own personal gain and don't make a spectacle of themselves. As a matter of fact, the very kind hard-working people on the island would probably be more respectful of a union that approached them without looking like a bunch of assholes and college dropouts.

  • Notice he is wearing a "The Collection" shirt. If you don't know, The Collection is where you buy your jaguars, ferraris and other outrageously expensive cars.

  • He's also wearing a hat from there, so unless "The Collection" is PAYING him to advertise, this looks like a pathetic ruse by someone with half a brain.

From what I've read, Fisher Island is paying upwards of $9 per hour for people who can't even speak English, so that they can wash dishes! They're also providing 80% of their health care (approx $44/month) and providing a retirement plan match!

That sounds like the American Dream to me! Why would they ever want to unionize?

  • Wow thats your version of the American Dream, to be paid "upwards of $9 per hour" in expensive ass Miami. Damn if thats your version of the American Dream I'd hate to see what you would call a nightmare.

  • Whew thank god these folks can unionize so that they can get healthcare and a decent retirement plan. Wait, they have that already don't they... Well maybe they'll have better pay once they unionize (and thankfully they will be able to pay it all to the union!).

    Idiots.

Oh and laborgrunt, way to not know anything about living off minimum wage salaries. (Min wage in florida is $6.75 this is 25% less than the worst paid employees on the island get paid.)

  • Oh yea and "expensive ass miami" is not as expensive as you think. Miami is in fact one of the more affordable major cities with respect to wages. Remember, you don't have to live downtown to live in Miami.

Getting paid $5 an hour is a dream compared to the wages people from Haiti, Cuba the DR and Puerto Rico get paid.

    Get educated or GTFO.

  • I agree getting paid $5 an hour is a dream if you live in a Caribbean nation. But there is one problem, THEY LIVE IN MIAMI, where the cost of living is significantly higher than any of those other nations.

  • Obviously you are living in la la land as NO one lives off of 6.75/hr. Just because it is the minimum wage does not mean it is a living wage. Those are two distinct things. All the people that get paid 6.75 also have another job to supplement their income. Or they use Social Svcs.(MediCaid, Food Stamps, etc) to make up for their lack of income.

  • And god bless them for raising their families with those jobs and if you moon bounce liberals think that unionizing will improve their conditions you will be sorely mistaken. (This is coming from a person who had a mother and father who both worked unionized jobs who chose not to join the union and were then summarily forced out of work by the union pressuring the employers with lawsuits. And now we live on fisher island. Don't talk to me about the american dream and how to attain it.)
