@bluemoon2626 Gotcha! I was actually referring to the fact of Friday nights from 1979 to 1981 on CBS when the The Incredible Hulk and Dukes Of Hazzard were on back to back before Hulk changed its broadcast day and was cancelled in 82. But Dukes remained on Friday nights until its cancellation in 85.
the last scene was filmed at my school, oxford college of emory. i recently graduated from there and this is the first time i've watched the intro to actually see it! pretty crazy.
im only 16 but I remember growing up and watching the Dukes of Hazzard almost everyday when I was a kid, I was appalled by the movie it was just an insult to everything the original ever was
You seem to be a good young man. I grew up watching this when it was out. And you're right on, that movie was atrocious. Ben Jones (Cooter) protested it. You either get it or you don't; and you are one of the rare young people that get it.
Anything that Hollywood touches nowadays turns to poison.
This proves that you DO NOT NEED flashy technology and hi-tech settings to have a great show. DoH was pure & simple fun, with sparse country settings, a hysterical soundtrack, awesome car crashes and witty dialogue. We need more shows like this! Even with today's economy, the cost shouldn't be that high to do it....
Back in the day, Jessica Simpson is a dog compared to Catherine Bach. Jessica Simpson was like the 1998 American Godzilla.. an insult and nowhere like the original.
I mean I didn't see the 2005 adaptation of the movie starring Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott, the character of Boss Hogg was a short, fat and bald man, Burt Reynolds was a pathetic choice, Danny DeVito would've been perfect for the role, as for Bo and Luke Duke, I would've chosen Christian Bale as Luke Duke and Aaron Eckhart as Bo Duke, Daisy Duke let's see Katie Holmes; Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse gag me, Kenny Rogers would've been way better and maybe so could've been the movie.
How come you can't ever find this version of the song on any music sight? You can only find the original...w/o the banjo part in the beginning? If someone finds it plz let me know...it's soooo much better!
i know what you mean, 84duane, all too well. Hollywood screwed up with that stupid movie. Jessica Simpy is successfully cheeesy to the core. Good thing they show reruns of the original on CMT
