RJ & Stefanie INTERVIEWS - What Matters Most to their Harts

Stefanie won the Sarah Siddons Award for her performance in "Love Letters" in 1993. When Jill took the role over she did it for a longer period than Stefanie did...WITH NO AWARD...Not even a nomination. I think Jill had more influence on parts of his book than she should have had...RJ still refers to Stef as "One of the joys of my life". I'll bet that must make Jill crazy...But he has always been honest about the bond he and Stef share...I admire him for that. He has always cared about Stef !!!

Satnin, I think I saw that interview . I've also just recently finished reading RJ's book. The only thing that was said in the book that could be seen as negative about Stef. is that he was offered $10 million dollars to produce 3 more Hart to Hart movies, Stef opted out in favour of a theatre production of "Applause" that was going to be touring. He says in his book that he was furious at her, and saw her decision as a betrayal. A PROFESSIONAL DISAGREEMENT was all it was. The friendship lives.

I picked up a copy of RJ Wagner's book, "Pieces of my Heart",...and to the poiint I am now in the book, (I'm quite a way in...I basically haven't put it down yet), he hasn't said anything but the sweetest things about Stefanie Powers. I believe the feelings they have for each other they will keep between themselves. RJ even said as much in an interview I saw a while ago , and quite frankly it's THEIR PRIVATE LIVES ...THEIR RELATIONSHIP !

I guess what i was trying to say is that if either one were married at the time, and had an affair together it would have been frowned upon and would have hurt their series, Love Letters, movies, etc. People are a little more open minded now than they were. Their series started 30 years ago. They were after all, playing a happily married couple on tv.

I agree that RJ and Stef probably wanted to remain silent but I do not understand why it would hurt their careers. If anything I would adore them more.Plus who commented on natilie and jill not being jealous please who would'nt be working with stef and plus giving RJ's past and all with braging about sleeping with all those leading ladies you can't say that's never crossed his mind with stef. Oh by the way I really enjoyed this video great job . Just ranting on.

book and although he didn't talk a lot about Stefanie, I believe that was intended. What they had between them

will probably remain private, and I think

that is a committment they made to each other to keep it that way. I believe they feared the loss of their careers if anything between them got out. Could be wrong, who knows.

what I got from all their interviews together is a sense that they were either once lovers or he was in love with her(Steph, Jill and Natalie knew each other from childhood -RJ knew them all back then)or they are extreme best friends. They have an on screen connection that was great but off screen they exude emotions that told of a deep affection for one another.

Maybe they could have been a wonderful couple because of their intimacy, complicity and love, 'cause this is love beetween them, not exactly the same love but they could have accomplished something special together. Does anyone know if Natalie or Jill was ever jealous of Stefanie and the way RJ looks at her, holds her hands, speaks of her etc.? Are there any proofs?

To my knowledge, there were talks and articles that indicated of Natalie's jealousy towards Stefanie. This was aggravated by a rumor that Natalie became specially furious when RJ stayed overnight at Stef's house when Bill died. But all remained as rumors until she died. As for Jill, well, for many of us she will remain eternally jealoused of Stef. Proof? She tries to copy Stef but continues to fail! LOL for her!

I've read that too, that RJ spent the night at Stefanies's house the day Mr. Holden died. Think we have not to talk about Jill, she is his wife now and think we have to respect that. I've always thought that RJ was really in love with Stefanie, but she had not the same feelings about him and RJ knew that. Think he never had a chance with her as a husband or lover. Sure I'm wrong, it's just a thought.

I have it on very good authority that Natalie was never jealous of Stefanie. You guys spend too much time reading old tabloid articles and tabloid books. There are a few reasons why they never hooked up and why neither Natalie or Jill were not jealous, but we won't go there.

Natalie wasn't jealous of Stefanie, she had no reason to be. After Bill and Natalie died so close in time RJ and Stef's relationship got even closer. Natalie was only gone from us (her fans) a very short time when Jill pounced on him. Jill has always been jealous of Stefanie, she has tried to be somewhat of a carbon copy of Stefanie...to no avail. Stef and RJ were there for each other during a very difficult time in both of their lives. They will forever share a true and loving relationship.

I share the same thoughts with you on this topic. Always believed that had Stef made a "go" of a relationship with RJ, he'd be the happiest man. But they love/d each other in many ways. In an article, she admitted, she loves him but is not "in love with him" like a husband. But still, it's really hard to know the truth in their Harts :0)As for me, up to now, everytime they are seen together, even in those short whiles, RJ's eyes still twinkle and it's just not there when he's with Jill.
