@kirby7979 maywether es mas que martinez y creeo que mas que cualquiera en este momento....aun tambien su ultima pelea entre mayweather y ortiz fue un fiasgo un fraude..en pocas palabras una pelea arreglada
I hate that Ref. he should stop the fight sooner....the Fighter won't quit, the corner can't stop the fight. You already know when a guy is beat or outclassed. Just watch the Cotto/Foreman fight, Donaire/Montiel fight. Fuck this Ref!
I like Sergio Martinez but he needs to fight more top name fighters. He is going to have to either move down or move up because if you look at his overall body of work he hasn't done much that will make top fighters want to fight him. He lost to Paul the first time which a lot of people thought he should have killed like he did on the second first and he fought a washed up Pavlik and Dzinziruk was way over-hype just like Barker. He needs to fight outside that same weigh in he loves so much.
@NJNC12 Hard to fight top names when everyone is scared to fight him but I agree. I like martinez, I want him to fight JCCjr or go down to fight canelo/kirkland, or he could move up and fight 168lbs people, kessler, froch, dirrel, ward but martinez doesn't want to move up is the problem there.
@FiyahLiger So many people have told him they would fight him but not at no 155. That means everyone would have to gain about 7lbs and he would only have to lose 3lbs. If he wants that fight he is going to either move up or down in weight. He can't be asking for major fights but not be welling to move in weight behind 3lbs or he will never get a big fight.
@NJNC12 I agree, like I said I like Martinez, but either you move up or down for a major fight, nothing really at 160 outside of JCCjr, but Bob arum never puts his cash cows in with anything that could cost him really.
@FiyahLiger Funny thing is JJC Jr is not even top 5 at 160, YET he's the best option for Martinez? haha! that's a joke, jr is just a big name, not a top name at 160, and at 168, if it wasn't for the super 6 tournament, all of those fighters at 168 would be as known as the top fighters at 154 and 160, what Martinez should do is just keep beating the top fighters at 160, then if a top welter or swelter want to step up to 160, then make the fight, MANY welters have moved up to fight the best at 160
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS I don't know what you are looking at for JCC Jr because he is already rank as the number 2 middleweight. Every is always saying Floyd didn't fight anyone but when he was coming up he went after all the top fighters and please save that cotto and Margo because he didn't run Bob Arum was the reason both those fights didn't happen. Like i said sergio has been called out by ward for how long now and he wont move up in weight or meet him half way.
@NJNC12 Do you remember or know of Leonard, Robinson, Duran, Napoles, Trinidad, Armstrong, De La Hoya, and a few other top welters who Moved up to 160 to fight the #1 fighter at that weight? All of them might have not beat the #1 Middleweight. But they TRIED, its what makes them All Time Great fighters, they fought the best opposition Possible, unlike Mayweather or Pac, there's a reason why none of them will fight Martinez at 154 let alone 160, they want all the advantages, A little risk fight.
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS That makes no sense at all. Sergio has been calling people out for years then say he wont drop no more then 5lbs but he wants everyone to either move down 8lb or go up 10lbs which is not going to happen. I dont care what people say about who is out there because there are some really good fights he can have but he has to get this BS weight thing out the way. He wants big names move in weight the same way you are saying leonard, robinson, and oscar has.
@FiyahLiger But top names, are just that, popular fighters, not necessarily the best, and your comment proves that, since the fighters you said Martinez should fight at 154, are not even among the top 3 at that weight, beating Lara would be a far greater accomplishment than beating Canelo or Kirkland, and at 160, 2 of the 4 names you mentioned(Kessler & froch) are fighters of the same caliber as the fighters Martinez has been fighting, they are simply more popular, it's a popularity contest...
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS Sergio can go fight Felix Sturm, JCC Jr, Geale, Ward, Bute, Froch just to name a few but he will not move in weight. He walks around at 158 so losing 4lbs is not that hard for him but if he went after Manny or Floyd they would have to move up 7-10lbs and thats not going to happen. Floyd walks around 147 and manny 144-145.
@ElShylo Because it will not take a lot for Serg to lose 4 lbs. Floyd would have to gain 8 lbs which is not even. Cotto and Floyd are gaining the same amount of weight. Cotto walks around at 150 and Floyd walks around between 147-150 so it wouldn't matter to Floyd. All Serg would have to do is stop eating a lot for what a week and then maintain.
@NJNC12 Who should he fight? Remember Martinez was not long ago fighting at 154, he could make 154, What "top fighter" according to you could he fight there? Canelo? Not even top 5 at 154, Kirkland? would get stopped in 4, 5 rounds, Lara and Molina are the beast fighters at that weight, but they are not big names, You see there are plenty of good fighters at 154 and 160, BUT they are not very known, and that's not good for Martinez since to most people Boxing is a popularity contest.
Check that. Quickly, in my opinion, Sergio leaves himself open 4 2 reasons, 1.) that's his style, that is, sticks his chin out there like a worm on a hook (that's the bait). 2.) His confident of his speed, power & the ability 2 take a punch. The thing is: if a guy like Sergio is willing 2 dangle that bait out there, with his hands down, & the boxer 'bites' everytime, & everytime he knocks them out or beats them badly, that's who I'm betting on. I say again: SERGIO = WOLF. Smart Mother Fucker!
........a ridiculous jab, Mayweather-esque stance and good defense, (Martinez leaves himself open a lot) a combination type fighter, good height n reach etc. Premature prediction but I'm just looking ahead to great match-ups, there's no doubt that Dulorme will be a champion soon, I also hope Martinez has the chance to land the big fights.
@ElShylo, I'm referring to a already established Dulorme (prediction), at this stage as only a prospect Dulorme is riduculously skilled, Martinez would have an advantage AT THE MOMENT (keep in mind Dulorme's best days are still way ahead) That being said it's more an advantage of weight versus anything else, again this is a kid with less than 13 pro fights under his belt, he's a multi-dimensional technical boxer/puncher that fights left or right sided, very intelligent, precision reflexes....
Dulorme is good, but not good enuf yet. Mayb in a cple of yrs. he may have a shot. Personal opinion, @ diz point he would b biting off alot more then he can chew. But dn't stop now. Dulorme, ur in it 4 da $ just like Sergio baby. Challenge all of diz guyz Sergio, Floyd, Manny Cotto, all of dem. Who knws, u may lay an egg against Manny & Miguel, Sergio, rite now, no way. Floyd, tentative maybe. Best of luck/suerte compadre & dn't give up the fite. A supporter & fan.
MrConnolly: Martinez/Barker fite: Barker was a good punch receptor nothing more. He got 1 lucky punch in & occassionally tapped Sergio. Sergio's KO punch went 'thru' Barkers glove 2 nail his face & kck him out? If a bxr is not willing 2 fite, what R U gonna do? In Sergio's case U kp punching til the other guy drops, no what I mean? Mrtnz, ovrrtd? If anything, Floyd, Manny & Cotto all conveniently & nervously avoid & evade him. Evntlly, da pblc is going 2 demand diz fite, nothing else will do.
miguel cotto needs to move up in weight again and fight sergio or sergio move down. that would be a good fight. i honestly cant say cotto would stand a chance though.
people want Cotto to do alot of things but they forget that even tho he went up in wieght, he is still pretty small for the division he is in now. It would be insane for him to go up more. IDK why Cotto is in the wieght class he is in now, he really doesnt fight it, even tho he is trying to.
@mrconolly.. Ok just because barker isnt recognised doesnt mean he suckd he WAS undefeated until he qot beat by martinez nd barker didnt even threw punches cus he would have been ko"d earlier
@nightmare187able Barker gave Martinez a lesson on ringcraft for the 1st half of the fight lol Barker also landed his jab almost at will.At the end off the day Martinez's power was the deciding factor.Barker is not even no.1 in Britain he was given absolutely no chance by us who have watched him. Most people who know of Barker rate him as a domestic or euro level fighter at best.If Martinez is so good why is he fighting Macklin next? its because he is overated lol end of.
'Smirk', 'smirk'. Chale bra. No need 2 feel sorry chiefy, R-E-A-L-I-T-Y will bite U in the azz & force U out of the smoke in your mind. If Floyd, Manny or Cotto R so confident & ready to fite Sergio; no 1 sees them running like a bat out-a-hell to go sign that contract man. This is like "going out looking 4 a job in the hopes of not finding 1". Yeah Rite! Chatter Chatter, BS, Yang, lots to do about nothin. Come on out & fite Floyd, Manny Cotto. An order of WOLF comin up baby. Rip ur shit up.
Smaller guys? Really? Pavlik, Dzinziruk, Williams dis-member them? All bigger men & all champins, all knocked the fuck out or beat up badly. The same thing will happen 2 Ward, Bute etc, no problem. We all know Floyd, Manny, Cotto & Sergio have all gone up or come down 2 154/156 lbs. in the past to 'fite' ('lackey'), Margarito comes 2 mind. Nix baby, 4 these guys it's about survival & staying in the top spotlite. Let's find out Floyd, Manny & Cotto. Don't b S-C-A-R-E-D. it won't hurt, that bad.
you guys are dumb, Floyd will destroy Martinez..and im not even a mayweather fan. Martinez is overrated. He tries to make a name for himself by calling out smaller guys like pac and floyd.
Yo dum-dum (lackey), If U didn't notice, I use alot of "reduction" 2 B able to fit in as much as possible, U ignorant fuck. I said 'fite' as in 'fight', nothing about 'fiter' as u stated shitbird. Do u know what 'reduction' means in grammer U KUMQUAT.
If Floyd fites Sergio, Floyd will definitely lose, either by KO or by points. We all know that, including Floyd. If Floyd beat Gatti (R.I.P.), Martinez would've beat him worse. Even @ 154 or 156 he would still b way-to-much 4 Floyd. Why do you think that neither Floyd nor Manny ever mention his name & R careful not 2 say it in public or interviews? They R brave men - not stupid ones, there's a big difference, get it? Martinez is called the Marvelous 1 for many proven reasons not shitz & giggles.
@nightmare187able How can you possibly say Martinez is not overated? his performance vs Barker was shit.Barker is not even the No.1 in the UK,he has little power yet still made Martinez look crude for large periods. And now in a desperate bid to make him look good they have given him Macklin lol.Macklin is hopelessly 1 dimensional he will walk on to everything Martinez throws. If you say Khan is overated do not use Martinez as some kind of measuring stick PMSL
In all fairness, counterpunchers tend to look poor against boxers/other counterpunchers. Not trying to fanboy it up, just making the point. Hell, Hagler didn't look great against Duran for that reason.
@cet0708 He is fighting Mathew Macklin next,Macklin will plod forward & Martinez will look a brilliant. If Martinez is so good why doesn't he fight Sturm or any of the names? also please Hagler was great & Duran was much much better than Barker lol Martinez is a big name Barker is so unknown in the boxing world that even Buffer introduced him as BAKER lol
Aye, I wasn't comparing them in terms of greatness, only in terms of styles and all. Macklin will be a sitting duck as you've predicted I feel, he only has a far-off shot because of heart, might grind Sergio down with body attacks a bit. Also, I think it was Sturm who declined a fight with Martinez, but don't quote me on that, neither of them have much name value being part of the problem I think.
@cet0708 Yeah Sturm has refused any talk of a Martinez fight in the USA Martinez in Turn refuses the idea of fighting in Germany.Sturm has very good reason to refuse fighting in the US anybody who watched him completely outclass Del La Hoya only to be robbed probably agrees with him.Martinez knows he'd have a job on getting a decision in Germany.Your idea of Macklin's chances are spot one,he has little chance but of course he has a big heart.
@nightmare187able dumbest thing i have ever heard out of anyones mouth, martinez is underrateded he's never been overrated watch the fight, took this guy out no problem, and williams, he is an excellent boxer no arguement
@nightmare187able he may not be the great fighter hes made out to be but hold he defo fucking didnt, if that was the case why did he have to push peterson away so much which led to point deduction if anything it was the opposite
There is a time to be delusional and a time to be realistic. Sergio is too big for Pac, May or Cotto! Not only there is a considerable size difference but Martinez is a good technician and great puncher with outstanding speed for his size. Unless they are in for the money only, they shouldn't be looking for that fight.
ok someone answer me this y is it that pirog and golovkin are the best options for martinez? pirog is a one hit wonder... who has he fought since jacobs? jus cuz he knocked out jacobs it automatically makes him a huge threat? who tha fuck was jacobs in the first place!! and who in the blue hell is golovkin wat has he done to say that hes the best huh?
manny fought oscar de la hoya and antonio margarito nd they were both 5'10" nd sergio martinez is the same height, and floyd has fought diego corrales who was 5'11" when floyd was also in a lighter weight division. It is the only way to prove that theyre the pound 4 pound king
if mayweather still thinks he is the p4p king then he MUST move up in weight to fight sergio martinez, he hasnt moved up in weight in a long time and sergio martinez is a great middleweight so that would be a good fight
@numberoneDOUCHEBAG Mismatch.Floyd is too small for Sergio. Sounds to me that you want to see Floyd lose. Thats like telling Manny to fight Sergio. They are too small
@tharealdeal19 Pacquiao was too small for Cotto, Margarito, & Clottey. Duran was too small for Leonard, Moore, & Iran Barkley. Floyd can fight Martinez but he won't.
@numberoneDOUCHEBAG ur a fuckin idiot stfu he already moved up and dominated 5 weight classes sergio didnt floyd cant naturally be a middleweight unless he roids like pacquiao ur a fuckin idiot learn about boxing before u comment how the fuck wuld floyd fight martinez? u sound fuckin retarded
Pacman destroyed dela hoya cotto n margarito also fought Morales like 3 times; Floyd won decisions over an old Mosley n dela hoya why he never fought cotto n Margarito in their prime
@YoungLeo2K12 mosley and de la hoya had 0 percent left when pacroid fought them u stupid faggot mayweather beat hatton when he was undefeated and destroyed a marquez who pacquiao cant seem to beat
and am hearing people sayin martinez is too big for pac, so magarito was not too big? pacman will never fight martinez. and to all pacman fans out there, if u do ur research u will find out that pacmans camp dont like fighting fighters on good form, and fighters that posses threat, they very tactical in draining fighters to their advantage, or coming off a loss or he is waaaaay pass his prime. FACT!! Freddie roach always makes it clear in couple interviews
@soufldn21 I'm sick of hearing this. Hatton, Cotto, Marquez, and Clottey were not past their primes at all. I'm not saying Top Rank doesn't cherry pick certain guys -- namely Margarito and Mosley -- but let's get serious here. No one thought De La Hoya was shot going into that fight either. Ultimately, Martinez is too big for Pacquiao. He's a legit 160 champ and Manny is a blown up lightweight. Margarito was big, but he was basically still a big welterweight.
Margartio Became A Very Very Avoided Fighter and at 1 point mayweather ducked him.Martinez has not fought any1 worth call top p4p.
Martinez IS REALLY FUCKING GOOD...But You People will be his downfall once he losses.Let Me tell you why.Becuase you guys over-hype him so much. That once he losses a fight.Yall gonna start talking shit about him saying that he was never that good. When in the first place he never was.Yall just made it seem like it.MAKES SENCE??
Mayweather will beat the crap out of Pacquiao we all know that in our hearts but, Mayweather Vs Martinez is sooo interesting. I'm a Mayweather fan and personally I think Floyd should clean up the little man then finish off his career with a crack at a real giant. Sergio said he'd come to 150lb to fight Pac or May but, I would prefer Mayweather to take him on at 154-160lb and if he win's he gets to cement an amazing legacy without "Martinez was drained". WHAT A FIGHT AYE?
@Nytowl7 delahoya, margarito and cotto took the fight thinking :"i'll woop that little man..."watch their faces after the fight...one word...TOTAL DESTRUCTION...
@kypselialani14 De La Hoya, lost to Floyd prior, Cotto lost to Margarito before Pacquiao fight, Margarito lost to Mosley before Pacquiao fight, Mosley lost to Floyd before Pacquiao fight.
Floyd faught De La Hoya, after winning WBC junior middle off Mayorga, Hatton= undefeated, Marquez after defending title over Diaz, Mosley after winning WBA title off Margarito, Ortiz after winning WBC title off Berto.
@Nytowl7 mosley was caught using peds plus he was 37-38 when he fought floyd so dont even mention him...when floyd fought him the guy was way past his prime (same for manny) also floyd hasnt fought cotto or margarito...because he doesnt like bigger guys obviously...and i dont believe he will agree to fight martinez...i mean he's dodging manny who is smaller for 3 years now...how can he fight a bigger and skilled guy?!
@kypselialani14 Past his prime then why did he beat Margarito to death? I guess Margarito was past his prime too? That would make Cotto Past his prime wouldn't it? Oh and that would also make Clottey past his prime lmao!
He's far from dodging Pacquiao, Bob Arum is scared to lose his precious meal ticket....After Marquez which Pacquiao would have lost had he had a different name, Arum said "We'll make Marquez V Pacquiao 4th in May" The month Mayweather wants to fight. Dodgy!
@kypselialani14 almost all the fights mayweather had, the oppenent was bigger please go do ur research, i dont get caught in the media hype floyd is just smart and he doesnt need to fight cotto or magarito to prove a point unless he really wants to compete with pacman at welter. i believe floyd will take martinez on, 100%, martinez might be skilled but floyd will still school him
@soufldn21 castillo was bigger and at their 1st fight floyd was trying to find excuses to explain why the fight "seemed" so close...also dlh was bigger and then again floyd had trouble...now martinez is an improved version of them both...and i dont see how floyd will school him...martinez is a very strong midlleweight...1 good punch from him is enough...
As Floyd is fond of saying, all these fighters are good fighters but I'm "God gifted" & that is true. God really likes Floyd. But Floyd, in case you didn't know, God really, really, really LOOOOOOOOves Sergio. Without a doubt. Sign on that dotted line baby & lets see a real fight with Sergio. I'm saying if you don't get knocked out between the 8th & 10th you'll lose on points. But you are going to get hurt real bad this time, shit-you-not.
he actually looked sharp right here in the barker fight he looked very sluggish and one dimensional. He didn't really use his footwork or defense in that fight either.
Sergio Martinez vs Manny Pacquiao. Why fight floyd when he can just fight manny for the P4P title! You dont want Manny to lose, that's why you want Sergio to fight Floyd..
O.O he's been top pound for pound and top challenger to pacquiao and mayweather! haha jk I understand though with all the skills he has he's a bit quiet when it comes to fan base. He's just overshadowed by the two greats of our time.
@cmoneyno5 hahaha!!! yeah your right bro gamboa is too small for floyd, thats a fucking stupid suggestion by that guy. well defo not a boxing fan he is
Sergio should have let his hands go way more when he fought darren barker yesterday.. He would have looked better but his real trainer wasnt there to give him the confidence he needs.. He still won tho, seen better from martinez tho too
Only reason why Sergio fought @ 160 is because the Lineal 160 champ Kelly Pavlk was the only one willing to give Sergio a shot. Sergio spent the majority of his career as a welterweight. Sergio dosen't have the frame to fight against the top 168 pounders. Guys like Ward would be 180+ pounds fight night while martinez would be 159-161 max.
@thegoldenhero, Martinez only walks around @ 160-165 pounds max. In fact, Martinez has weighed in under 160 in ALL of his middleweight fights. Even against pavlik Martinez was only 159 on fight night. Martinez is smaller than Victor Ortiz and Ortiz fights @ 147. Martinez vs Mayweather would be great @ 154. Floyd wouldn't force a catchweight on Sergio like a certain false P4P prince.
"Even against pavlik Martinez was only 159 on fight night."
Where did you get this info? There's video here on youtube of Sergio preparing for Williams rematch where he is 172. I believe he enters the ring with at leat 168-170 (in case of 160 lbs limit)
@StepXX after the fight with barker larry merchant asked sergio "hopkins wants you in 170 he wants to fight you would you like to fight him?" sergio answered "no that's too much, well maybe at 165...we can negotiate" that's a catchweight right? and how can he say 170 is too much for him? that's fact......you can watch that interview i hope some uploads the video here......
@ForME4mi Eeee... I do not argue the fact of Martinez saying those words but they do not prove my statement to be wrong. Please search for video named "Sergio Martinez "INSIDE TRAINING CAMP" Part 1" dated November 4, 2010 and go 1:23 - you will see the part with scales which shows 172 lbs.
BTW Carl Froch (super middlewight) recently stated that he weighted 173lbs and he was not yet in the process of preparation to Ward fight.
@StepXX that's just proves something right? sergio doesnt like his chances against bigger and stronger guys. he is an aging fighter that wants his biggest pay day.the only p4p contender that he fought was..........uhmm williams? and he became p4p king for his fans? lol ward, froch, lee, and hopkins is waiting. yet martinez likes to stay in his teritory and fight smaller guys. lol
@ForME4mi Yep, I do agree that he shall move upward to supermiddleweight division but he won't earn the same money as in case of possible fights with May, Pac (that would be ridiculous), Cotto.
Now he even agrees to arrange rematch with Margarito despite saying earlier that Margo would be badly hurt at this stage of his (Antonio) career in case of their possible fight.
Nevertheless I must admit that at 154-160 lbs Martinez is the best boxer at the moment.
@StepXX yeah indeed, he is the best at 154 - 160. but thre are buts, and sergio is aging. he is not getting younger anymore. either he fights heavier guys or make 150 to fight floyd or pac.
@ForME4mi Absolutely, as time goes his main asset - speed - will only deteriorate. We've seen example of RJJ. Wish he was younger - boxing fans would see more entertaining fights in future.
i think floyd has the advantage... i remember pavlik, giving martinez hard time...even knocking him down. williams was hitting SM too, but obviously SM is a huge fella with KO PWR. but you cant KO anyone if u cant hit them...... and any1 who thinks pacquiao is scared of martinez is dumb. LOL theres a difference between being scared and being smart. Floyd too. martinez should fight other guys that are bigger. Floyd or Pacquiao? yeah maybe, but the promoters are the real enemies!
Martinez vs Mayweather > Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Sure, a Pac vs Money fight is more lucrative, but a Money vs Maravilla fight is way more compelling. I think Mayweather beats Pacquiao, but I'm not so sure I would favor him over Martinez. I hope the fight happens after the Pacquiao fight, Martinez deserves a big payday and he's willing to meet Floyd at 154 to make it happen.
i agree with this but imo mayweather or pac fighting martinez is not a safe fight for either in a fair weight i don't think either can beat Sergio...mayweather and pac should stay fighting welterweights...saul alvarez vs sergio would be good but alvarez not ready but it would be entertaining
@aeronlisud Mayweather is faster and more all-around skilled than both of them, so I doubt he's scare to fight either one. And I bet you believe that Pacquiao would fight Martinez, right? Except Martinez has also been calling out Pacquiao and, like Mayweather, he and his handlers have elected not to respond or take on the challenge. Same thing with him not agreeing to full random blood/urine testing to fight Floyd. That fight would've happened already if had just agreed to take the damn test.
@akosihelbert its not that martinez has weak legs its that his style makes him constantly off balance and thats the problem i see him having against mayweather, the straight rights are too quick and hes gonna be caught off balance all night with crisp punches against mayweather, martinez has decent defense but he gets hit as much as he hits, plus he doesnt do well against good defensive fighters, even against his latest opponent he couldnt barely hit him and all he used was jabs and gloves up
@bobbytf18 right..martinez needs to do more on his defense..he is very unlikely to survive against a faster..more tactical boxer in mayweather..
but i disagree with you saying pac vs may is less anticipating than may vs martinez.
i would say the latter is more predictable..while the former is far from decided.
i guess you know may's weakness is a southpaw..he gets hit more by a southpaw..than orthodox. we saw him get humiliated by judah..but judah aint got stamina..so he faded in later rounds
@akosihelbert oh no it wasnt me who said i didnt think may vs pac would be good it was the guy above me. i think it will be much harder for may than any other fight because you are right against southpaws he gets hit like 10% more because his strategy against southpaws is to be twice as aggressive. I see it being a a close one maybe 7-5 for may. against judah he wasnt getting humiliated, judah is more technically sneaky than we give him credit for 1. 2. judah was fast as shit at the time
@akosihelbert cont. 3 it was mayweathers fight plan (which he and his uncle said) to work the body for the first 4 rounds so that they could gas him, then destroy him after, yes judah doesnt have stamina, but watch the fight again, mayweather took over from rd 3 and onward once he got the timing and body punches right he started using his straight right and the fight ended, the only reason no ko is because judah did a lowblow and a riot ensued. even cotto had to loblow judah to survive back then
@akosihelbert yea go watch it, he "accidently" loblo judah 3/4x and they all see to happen when he gets cracked by judah and gets chicken legs. anyway. mayweather got hit a few x's but like i said judah is craftier than given credit far and was super freakin fast. and i agree it was a knock down, even tho he was off balance, cuz of the contact. but judah was brilliant because mayweather hadnt adjusted yet, when he did he took over (from rd 3-12) he took over. straights and body shots, domination
@akosihelbert o yea of course. I already admitted that much haha. its his style to go twice as aggressive for some reason. southpaws are tricky for him, but he adjusts so fast when he starts using lateral movement to get his shoulder roll placed right to set them up for counters. but yea he gets hit a few % more against southpaws, but his punch output goes way up. against ortiz we saw him hit by a few straight lefts, and against the ropes he got swung on alot, but nothing really landed
@akosihelbert just a side thing, did you watch cotto vs judah to see what i was talking about? lowblows aside, it was a war in the ring terrific fight
@NyRSoxFan84 I'm sure you know a bit about boxing but you should know that no one is going to out box Mayweather. The only way to beat him is to keep him off balance with shots at awkward angles at awkward times. That's something you can't train for, that's something that comes with your natural style as a fighter. That Fighter is Manny Pacquiao. Martinez is a very technical fighter, but his style loses to Mayweather, guaranteed.
@egalamay25 I'm no boxing historian but I know enough to give an informed opinion about this, I disagree with your statement precisely because of your assessment of the problems Pacquiao would present to Mayweather. Despite what Roach would have us believe, Pacquiao is still very unrefined as a boxer. While he does throw punches from awkward angles, his hardly unpredictable and his style is perfectly suited for a defensive counterpuncher like Mayweather. Pacquiao loses in a lopsided ud, imho.
@LeedsGeeza Shut up seriously!! Froch and ward are way bigger than martinez they get in the ring at 175 - 180 pounds and they both have granite chins... Neither have ever been down in there careers and theyve faced bigger opponents than sergio that also hit way harder... I think martinez might beat froch but not ward and thats my opinion regardless of who wins between froch and ward!!
sergio is a middleweight he shouldn't fight guys like them they are natural light heavyweights...if sergio was a little taller and bigger that would be awesome tho
@thegoldenhero Sergio walks around at 170 theres no reason why he shudnt fight them... plus there super MWs not light HWs!! Instead he wants a 5"7, 145 pound filipino guy... Sergios doin himself no favors by pickin on the little guys
@Boylo2492 Can't blame Sergio for trying. He is on the wrong side of 30 and despite his P4P ranking, he is still on the fringes in terms of public recognition. He would definitely win over alot of hardcore boxing fans if he fought guys like Ward or Bute...but these are risky fights. He would likely lose to Ward and struggle against some of the other top SMW's. He wouldn't get paid much for these fights and his stock would drop considerably if he lost.
i just think he should stay in light middleweight/middleweight territory i don't think his body would look good moving up in weight fighting bigger guys...doesn't he fight at 160 and he can fight the smaller guys cause he will still look good at 154 but i don't know if going up 10 pounds fighting the bigger guys is a good idea...and if he did i only recommend 1 or 2 fights in the supper middleweight division before going back down to middleweight
@TroubleSome200 lol good one, floyd is one of the best I'll give him that but he aint no god.Not floyd not nobody is unbeatable. Not saying he's going to lose but he's never been tested.
@BoxingProtege I'm not saying he's god just saying Floyd has more boxing skill than Sergio , and i think he's been tested with joseluis Castillo his toughest fight to date ,ricky Hatton , demarcus corley , zab judah , philip N'dou , angel manfredy and victor ortiz , he was tested with shane too even though shane was 38 but there both in there 30's
@LeedsGeeza you fucking idiot. how would martinez (a natural light-middleweight) knock out two of the best super-middleweights in the world? no he wouldnt. just because he beat paul williams you think he could beat froch and ward? seriously? have you not studied boxing?
indeed ,martinez vs Bute at 164-5 pounds would be awesome ! Also Martinez vs Froch or Kessler ! I want to see Martinez fighting with these guys than with pac /

How is Chavez jr going to hit or defeat this guy?
keytrixz 2 weeks ago
I like Sergio Martinez but he needs to fight more top name fighters. He is going to have to either move down or move up because if you look at his overall body of work he hasn't done much that will make top fighters want to fight him. He lost to Paul the first time which a lot of people thought he should have killed like he did on the second first and he fought a washed up Pavlik and Dzinziruk was way over-hype just like Barker. He needs to fight outside that same weigh in he loves so much.
NJNC12 2 weeks ago
@NJNC12 Hard to fight top names when everyone is scared to fight him but I agree. I like martinez, I want him to fight JCCjr or go down to fight canelo/kirkland, or he could move up and fight 168lbs people, kessler, froch, dirrel, ward but martinez doesn't want to move up is the problem there.
FiyahLiger 2 weeks ago
@FiyahLiger So many people have told him they would fight him but not at no 155. That means everyone would have to gain about 7lbs and he would only have to lose 3lbs. If he wants that fight he is going to either move up or down in weight. He can't be asking for major fights but not be welling to move in weight behind 3lbs or he will never get a big fight.
NJNC12 2 weeks ago
@NJNC12 I agree, like I said I like Martinez, but either you move up or down for a major fight, nothing really at 160 outside of JCCjr, but Bob arum never puts his cash cows in with anything that could cost him really.
FiyahLiger 2 weeks ago
@FiyahLiger Funny thing is JJC Jr is not even top 5 at 160, YET he's the best option for Martinez? haha! that's a joke, jr is just a big name, not a top name at 160, and at 168, if it wasn't for the super 6 tournament, all of those fighters at 168 would be as known as the top fighters at 154 and 160, what Martinez should do is just keep beating the top fighters at 160, then if a top welter or swelter want to step up to 160, then make the fight, MANY welters have moved up to fight the best at 160
TRIPLESIXSICCNESS 2 weeks ago
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS I don't know what you are looking at for JCC Jr because he is already rank as the number 2 middleweight. Every is always saying Floyd didn't fight anyone but when he was coming up he went after all the top fighters and please save that cotto and Margo because he didn't run Bob Arum was the reason both those fights didn't happen. Like i said sergio has been called out by ward for how long now and he wont move up in weight or meet him half way.
NJNC12 1 week ago
@NJNC12 Do you remember or know of Leonard, Robinson, Duran, Napoles, Trinidad, Armstrong, De La Hoya, and a few other top welters who Moved up to 160 to fight the #1 fighter at that weight? All of them might have not beat the #1 Middleweight. But they TRIED, its what makes them All Time Great fighters, they fought the best opposition Possible, unlike Mayweather or Pac, there's a reason why none of them will fight Martinez at 154 let alone 160, they want all the advantages, A little risk fight.
TRIPLESIXSICCNESS 2 weeks ago
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS That makes no sense at all. Sergio has been calling people out for years then say he wont drop no more then 5lbs but he wants everyone to either move down 8lb or go up 10lbs which is not going to happen. I dont care what people say about who is out there because there are some really good fights he can have but he has to get this BS weight thing out the way. He wants big names move in weight the same way you are saying leonard, robinson, and oscar has.
NJNC12 1 week ago
@FiyahLiger But top names, are just that, popular fighters, not necessarily the best, and your comment proves that, since the fighters you said Martinez should fight at 154, are not even among the top 3 at that weight, beating Lara would be a far greater accomplishment than beating Canelo or Kirkland, and at 160, 2 of the 4 names you mentioned(Kessler & froch) are fighters of the same caliber as the fighters Martinez has been fighting, they are simply more popular, it's a popularity contest...
TRIPLESIXSICCNESS 2 weeks ago
@TRIPLESIXSICCNESS Sergio can go fight Felix Sturm, JCC Jr, Geale, Ward, Bute, Froch just to name a few but he will not move in weight. He walks around at 158 so losing 4lbs is not that hard for him but if he went after Manny or Floyd they would have to move up 7-10lbs and thats not going to happen. Floyd walks around 147 and manny 144-145.
NJNC12 1 week ago
@NJNC12 But his fiting Miguel Cotto 154 lbs. Y not SERGIO?
ElShylo 7 hours ago
@ElShylo Because it will not take a lot for Serg to lose 4 lbs. Floyd would have to gain 8 lbs which is not even. Cotto and Floyd are gaining the same amount of weight. Cotto walks around at 150 and Floyd walks around between 147-150 so it wouldn't matter to Floyd. All Serg would have to do is stop eating a lot for what a week and then maintain.
NJNC12 12 minutes ago
@NJNC12 Who should he fight? Remember Martinez was not long ago fighting at 154, he could make 154, What "top fighter" according to you could he fight there? Canelo? Not even top 5 at 154, Kirkland? would get stopped in 4, 5 rounds, Lara and Molina are the beast fighters at that weight, but they are not big names, You see there are plenty of good fighters at 154 and 160, BUT they are not very known, and that's not good for Martinez since to most people Boxing is a popularity contest.
TRIPLESIXSICCNESS 2 weeks ago
Martinez reminds me of Roy Jones, the difference being that Martinez is slower but can box better than Jones.
merksperk2 3 weeks ago
ElShylo 4 weeks ago
........a ridiculous jab, Mayweather-esque stance and good defense, (Martinez leaves himself open a lot) a combination type fighter, good height n reach etc. Premature prediction but I'm just looking ahead to great match-ups, there's no doubt that Dulorme will be a champion soon, I also hope Martinez has the chance to land the big fights.
gamecollect101 4 weeks ago
@ElShylo, I'm referring to a already established Dulorme (prediction), at this stage as only a prospect Dulorme is riduculously skilled, Martinez would have an advantage AT THE MOMENT (keep in mind Dulorme's best days are still way ahead) That being said it's more an advantage of weight versus anything else, again this is a kid with less than 13 pro fights under his belt, he's a multi-dimensional technical boxer/puncher that fights left or right sided, very intelligent, precision reflexes....
gamecollect101 4 weeks ago
Dulorme is good, but not good enuf yet. Mayb in a cple of yrs. he may have a shot. Personal opinion, @ diz point he would b biting off alot more then he can chew. But dn't stop now. Dulorme, ur in it 4 da $ just like Sergio baby. Challenge all of diz guyz Sergio, Floyd, Manny Cotto, all of dem. Who knws, u may lay an egg against Manny & Miguel, Sergio, rite now, no way.

Nix baby, 4 these guys it's about survival & staying in the top spotlite. Let's find out Floyd, Manny & Cotto. Don't b S-C-A-R-E-D. it won't hurt, that bad.

@cet0708 He is fighting Mathew Macklin next,Macklin will plod forward & Martinez will look a brilliant. If Martinez is so good why doesn't he fight Sturm or any of the names? also please Hagler was great & Duran was much much better than Barker lol Martinez is a big name Barker is so unknown in the boxing world that even Buffer introduced him as BAKER lol
MrConnolly25 1 month ago
@MrConnolly25
Aye, I wasn't comparing them in terms of greatness, only in terms of styles and all. Macklin will be a sitting duck as you've predicted I feel, he only has a far-off shot because of heart, might grind Sergio down with body attacks a bit. Also, I think it was Sturm who declined a fight with Martinez, but don't quote me on that, neither of them have much name value being part of the problem I think.
cet0708 1 month ago
@cet0708 Yeah Sturm has refused any talk of a Martinez fight in the USA Martinez in Turn refuses the idea of fighting in Germany.Sturm has very good reason to refuse fighting in the US anybody who watched him completely outclass Del La Hoya only to be robbed probably agrees with him.Martinez knows he'd have a job on getting a decision in Germany.Your idea of Macklin's chances are spot one,he has little chance but of course he has a big heart.

@kypselialani14 De La Hoya, lost to Floyd prior, Cotto lost to Margarito before Pacquiao fight, Margarito lost to Mosley before Pacquiao fight, Mosley lost to Floyd before Pacquiao fight.
Floyd faught De La Hoya, after winning WBC junior middle off Mayorga, Hatton= undefeated, Marquez after defending title over Diaz, Mosley after winning WBA title off Margarito, Ortiz after winning WBC title off Berto.
Mayweather fights winners, Pacquiao fights losers. Martinez V Mayweather better fight.

@Nytowl7 mosley was caught using peds plus he was 37-38 when he fought floyd so dont even mention him...when floyd fought him the guy was way past his prime (same for manny) also floyd hasnt fought cotto or margarito...because he doesnt like bigger guys obviously...and i dont believe he will agree to fight martinez...i mean he's dodging manny who is smaller for 3 years now...how can he fight a bigger and skilled guy?!
kypselialani14 3 months ago
@kypselialani14 Past his prime then why did he beat Margarito to death? I guess Margarito was past his prime too? That would make Cotto Past his prime wouldn't it? Oh and that would also make Clottey past his prime lmao!
He's far from dodging Pacquiao, Bob Arum is scared to lose his precious meal ticket....After Marquez which Pacquiao would have lost had he had a different name, Arum said "We'll make Marquez V Pacquiao 4th in May" The month Mayweather wants to fight. Dodgy!
Nytowl7 3 months ago
@kypselialani14 almost all the fights mayweather had, the oppenent was bigger please go do ur research, i dont get caught in the media hype floyd is just smart and he doesnt need to fight cotto or magarito to prove a point unless he really wants to compete with pacman at welter. i believe floyd will take martinez on, 100%, martinez might be skilled but floyd will still school him
soufldn21 3 months ago
@soufldn21 castillo was bigger and at their 1st fight floyd was trying to find excuses to explain why the fight "seemed" so close...also dlh was bigger and then again floyd had trouble...now martinez is an improved version of them both...and i dont see how floyd will school him...martinez is a very strong midlleweight...1 good punch from him is enough...

Sergio should have let his hands go way more when he fought darren barker yesterday.. He would have looked better but his real trainer wasnt there to give him the confidence he needs.. He still won tho, seen better from martinez tho too
nightmare187able 4 months ago
Only reason why Sergio fought @ 160 is because the Lineal 160 champ Kelly Pavlk was the only one willing to give Sergio a shot. Sergio spent the majority of his career as a welterweight. Sergio dosen't have the frame to fight against the top 168 pounders. Guys like Ward would be 180+ pounds fight night while martinez would be 159-161 max.
cmoneyno5 4 months ago
@cmoneyno5 so what? pacman fought margarito and he was 143 fight night margo was 160+ if martinez beats bute at 168 he'll be hugeee
ibeatuinboxing 4 months ago
@thegoldenhero, Martinez only walks around @ 160-165 pounds max. In fact, Martinez has weighed in under 160 in ALL of his middleweight fights. Even against pavlik Martinez was only 159 on fight night. Martinez is smaller than Victor Ortiz and Ortiz fights @ 147. Martinez vs Mayweather would be great @ 154. Floyd wouldn't force a catchweight on Sergio like a certain false P4P prince.
cmoneyno5 4 months ago
@cmoneyno5
"Even against pavlik Martinez was only 159 on fight night."
Where did you get this info? There's video here on youtube of Sergio preparing for Williams rematch where he is 172. I believe he enters the ring with at leat 168-170 (in case of 160 lbs limit)
StepXX 4 months ago
@StepXX after the fight with barker larry merchant asked sergio "hopkins wants you in 170 he wants to fight you would you like to fight him?" sergio answered "no that's too much, well maybe at 165...we can negotiate" that's a catchweight right? and how can he say 170 is too much for him? that's fact......you can watch that interview i hope some uploads the video here......
ForME4mi 4 months ago
@ForME4mi Eeee... I do not argue the fact of Martinez saying those words but they do not prove my statement to be wrong. Please search for video named "Sergio Martinez "INSIDE TRAINING CAMP" Part 1" dated November 4, 2010 and go 1:23 - you will see the part with scales which shows 172 lbs.
BTW Carl Froch (super middlewight) recently stated that he weighted 173lbs and he was not yet in the process of preparation to Ward fight.
StepXX 4 months ago
@StepXX that's just proves something right? sergio doesnt like his chances against bigger and stronger guys. he is an aging fighter that wants his biggest pay day.the only p4p contender that he fought was..........uhmm williams? and he became p4p king for his fans? lol ward, froch, lee, and hopkins is waiting. yet martinez likes to stay in his teritory and fight smaller guys. lol
ForME4mi 4 months ago
@ForME4mi Yep, I do agree that he shall move upward to supermiddleweight division but he won't earn the same money as in case of possible fights with May, Pac (that would be ridiculous), Cotto.
Now he even agrees to arrange rematch with Margarito despite saying earlier that Margo would be badly hurt at this stage of his (Antonio) career in case of their possible fight.
Nevertheless I must admit that at 154-160 lbs Martinez is the best boxer at the moment.
StepXX 4 months ago
@StepXX yeah indeed, he is the best at 154 - 160. but thre are buts, and sergio is aging. he is not getting younger anymore. either he fights heavier guys or make 150 to fight floyd or pac.
ForME4mi 4 months ago
@ForME4mi Absolutely, as time goes his main asset - speed - will only deteriorate. We've seen example of RJJ. Wish he was younger - boxing fans would see more entertaining fights in future.
StepXX 4 months ago
@cmoneyno5 True that !!!about that fake P4P! LOL... But the little bitch of Gay wather dont want nothing with Martinez or Gamboa
MrChicorico69 4 months ago
i think floyd has the advantage... i remember pavlik, giving martinez hard time...even knocking him down. williams was hitting SM too, but obviously SM is a huge fella with KO PWR. but you cant KO anyone if u cant hit them...... and any1 who thinks pacquiao is scared of martinez is dumb. LOL theres a difference between being scared and being smart. Floyd too. martinez should fight other guys that are bigger. Floyd or Pacquiao? yeah maybe, but the promoters are the real enemies!
ForME4mi 4 months ago
Martinez vs Mayweather > Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Sure, a Pac vs Money fight is more lucrative, but a Money vs Maravilla fight is way more compelling. I think Mayweather beats Pacquiao, but I'm not so sure I would favor him over Martinez. I hope the fight happens after the Pacquiao fight, Martinez deserves a big payday and he's willing to meet Floyd at 154 to make it happen.
NyRSoxFan84 4 months ago 23
@NyRSoxFan84
i agree with this but imo mayweather or pac fighting martinez is not a safe fight for either in a fair weight i don't think either can beat Sergio...mayweather and pac should stay fighting welterweights...saul alvarez vs sergio would be good but alvarez not ready but it would be entertaining
thegoldenhero 4 months ago
@NyRSoxFan84 i wish that too.. but pacman will destroy floyd !

MAYWEATHER IS AFRAID TO FIGHT MARTINEZ & PACMAN ! TWO SOUTHPAW .. TWO POWERFUL & FAST !
aeronlisud 4 months ago
@aeronlisud Mayweather is faster and more all-around skilled than both of them, so I doubt he's scare to fight either one. And I bet you believe that Pacquiao would fight Martinez, right? Except Martinez has also been calling out Pacquiao and, like Mayweather, he and his handlers have elected not to respond or take on the challenge. Same thing with him not agreeing to full random blood/urine testing to fight Floyd. That fight would've happened already if had just agreed to take the damn test.
NyRSoxFan84 4 months ago
@aeronlisud Sergio has been calling Manny to fight for years. He's scared to fight Sergio because he would be KO'd.
TEHWEEZY 4 months ago
@NyRSoxFan84 martinez vs mayweather will be mayweather vs ortiz..martinez won't last 5 rounds...plus he has weak legs. we've seen him get kd.
akosihelbert 4 months ago
@akosihelbert its not that martinez has weak legs its that his style makes him constantly off balance and thats the problem i see him having against mayweather, the straight rights are too quick and hes gonna be caught off balance all night with crisp punches against mayweather, martinez has decent defense but he gets hit as much as he hits, plus he doesnt do well against good defensive fighters, even against his latest opponent he couldnt barely hit him and all he used was jabs and gloves up
bobbytf18 4 months ago
@bobbytf18 right..martinez needs to do more on his defense..he is very unlikely to survive against a faster..more tactical boxer in mayweather..
but i disagree with you saying pac vs may is less anticipating than may vs martinez.
i would say the latter is more predictable..while the former is far from decided.
i guess you know may's weakness is a southpaw..he gets hit more by a southpaw..than orthodox. we saw him get humiliated by judah..but judah aint got stamina..so he faded in later rounds
akosihelbert 4 months ago
@akosihelbert oh no it wasnt me who said i didnt think may vs pac would be good it was the guy above me. i think it will be much harder for may than any other fight because you are right against southpaws he gets hit like 10% more because his strategy against southpaws is to be twice as aggressive. I see it being a a close one maybe 7-5 for may. against judah he wasnt getting humiliated, judah is more technically sneaky than we give him credit for 1. 2. judah was fast as shit at the time
bobbytf18 4 months ago
@akosihelbert cont. 3 it was mayweathers fight plan (which he and his uncle said) to work the body for the first 4 rounds so that they could gas him, then destroy him after, yes judah doesnt have stamina, but watch the fight again, mayweather took over from rd 3 and onward once he got the timing and body punches right he started using his straight right and the fight ended, the only reason no ko is because judah did a lowblow and a riot ensued. even cotto had to loblow judah to survive back then
bobbytf18 4 months ago
@bobbytf18 what? cotto lowblew judah?
fight plan it is.. but he got nailed a lot of times..you can see the video "judah schooled maywetaher"
to see how brilliant judah was in the 1st 4 rounds..
JUDAH EVEN KNOCKED DOWN FLOYD (HIS GLOVES TOUCHED THE CANVASS) BUT WAS RULLED A SLIP..THOUGH IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT HE GOT NAILED IN THE JAW
akosihelbert 4 months ago
@akosihelbert yea go watch it, he "accidently" loblo judah 3/4x and they all see to happen when he gets cracked by judah and gets chicken legs. anyway. mayweather got hit a few x's but like i said judah is craftier than given credit far and was super freakin fast. and i agree it was a knock down, even tho he was off balance, cuz of the contact. but judah was brilliant because mayweather hadnt adjusted yet, when he did he took over (from rd 3-12) he took over. straights and body shots, domination
bobbytf18 3 months ago
@bobbytf18 of course judah was dominated..he only got 4 rounds max..
but the thing is we see may had a weakness vs southpaw..as he also got nailed by ortiz like 2 or 3 times..not with single shots but with combinations.
i mean how he get hit by them southpaws..not how southpaws dominate him in the entire fight..you got me?
akosihelbert 3 months ago
@akosihelbert o yea of course. I already admitted that much haha. its his style to go twice as aggressive for some reason. southpaws are tricky for him, but he adjusts so fast when he starts using lateral movement to get his shoulder roll placed right to set them up for counters. but yea he gets hit a few % more against southpaws, but his punch output goes way up. against ortiz we saw him hit by a few straight lefts, and against the ropes he got swung on alot, but nothing really landed
bobbytf18 3 months ago
@akosihelbert just a side thing, did you watch cotto vs judah to see what i was talking about? lowblows aside, it was a war in the ring terrific fight
bobbytf18 3 months ago
@bobbytf18 not yet but i will definitely watch it..and i will tell my thoughts later
akosihelbert 3 months ago
@NyRSoxFan84 I'm sure you know a bit about boxing but you should know that no one is going to out box Mayweather. The only way to beat him is to keep him off balance with shots at awkward angles at awkward times. That's something you can't train for, that's something that comes with your natural style as a fighter. That Fighter is Manny Pacquiao. Martinez is a very technical fighter, but his style loses to Mayweather, guaranteed.
egalamay25 3 months ago
@egalamay25 I'm no boxing historian but I know enough to give an informed opinion about this, I disagree with your statement precisely because of your assessment of the problems Pacquiao would present to Mayweather. Despite what Roach would have us believe, Pacquiao is still very unrefined as a boxer. While he does throw punches from awkward angles, his hardly unpredictable and his style is perfectly suited for a defensive counterpuncher like Mayweather. Pacquiao loses in a lopsided ud, imho.
NyRSoxFan84 3 months ago
@LeedsGeeza Shut up seriously!! Froch and ward are way bigger than martinez they get in the ring at 175 - 180 pounds and they both have granite chins... Neither have ever been down in there careers and theyve faced bigger opponents than sergio that also hit way harder... I think martinez might beat froch but not ward and thats my opinion regardless of who wins between froch and ward!!
Boylo2492 4 months ago
@Boylo2492
sergio is a middleweight he shouldn't fight guys like them they are natural light heavyweights...if sergio was a little taller and bigger that would be awesome tho
thegoldenhero 4 months ago
@thegoldenhero
i meant super middleweight
thegoldenhero 4 months ago
@thegoldenhero Sergio walks around at 170 theres no reason why he shudnt fight them... plus there super MWs not light HWs!! Instead he wants a 5"7, 145 pound filipino guy... Sergios doin himself no favors by pickin on the little guys
Boylo2492 4 months ago
@Boylo2492 Can't blame Sergio for trying. He is on the wrong side of 30 and despite his P4P ranking, he is still on the fringes in terms of public recognition. He would definitely win over alot of hardcore boxing fans if he fought guys like Ward or Bute...but these are risky fights. He would likely lose to Ward and struggle against some of the other top SMW's. He wouldn't get paid much for these fights and his stock would drop considerably if he lost.
cpussandfudgy 4 months ago
@Boylo2492
i just think he should stay in light middleweight/middleweight territory i don't think his body would look good moving up in weight fighting bigger guys...doesn't he fight at 160 and he can fight the smaller guys cause he will still look good at 154 but i don't know if going up 10 pounds fighting the bigger guys is a good idea...and if he did i only recommend 1 or 2 fights in the supper middleweight division before going back down to middleweight
thegoldenhero 4 months ago
Sergio is a good fighter but he can't beat floyd
TroubleSome200 5 months ago
@TroubleSome200 lol good one, floyd is one of the best I'll give him that but he aint no god.Not floyd not nobody is unbeatable. Not saying he's going to lose but he's never been tested.
BoxingProtege 5 months ago
@BoxingProtege I'm not saying he's god just saying Floyd has more boxing skill than Sergio , and i think he's been tested with joseluis Castillo his toughest fight to date ,ricky Hatton , demarcus corley , zab judah , philip N'dou , angel manfredy and victor ortiz , he was tested with shane too even though shane was 38 but there both in there 30's
