  • probably one of the most tolerant dog races in the world. was in a fight between 3 of these once, one female did not get along with the others, i was watching the dogs for a friend, it was a 2 on 1, both of the two were 75 kilos and the aggressive female was around 60. i got them apart with no injury to the dogs other than a lost tooth, couldnt use my hand for about 2 weeks (dogs bite in blind aggression) and i have never been that exhausted in my entire life - so be careful if you want big dogs

  • New.favorite.dog.

  • Dogs and babies. My dog will go next door and let the nieghbors 12 month old twins beat on him, pull his fur, poke him, pull his tail, climb all over him and he just loves it. He goes there and lays on their lawn and just lets them use him for a playground set. BUT NO...I tell him to get off the couch and he barks at me. I grab the fur around the back of his neck to pull his stubborn butt out of the way and he growls.

  • I love leos soooo much!!!!!!!! They are sooo perfect!

  • Oh Leonbergers. Their love and devotion is only matched by their size.

  • Dummes Kind, dümmere Eltern, armer, treuer Hund :(

  • Nice to see people forcing stress on their dogs. Real nice.

  • poor dog

  • it is very clear to see that the dog doesn't like it... He was forced by owner to stay. Normally he would prefer to escape

  • any1 that is against this vid cannot b a dog lover nor can they have ever met a leonberger they where created years ago to protect an watch children i would say they are the friendliest dogs in the world there just like giant teddy bears that love lots of cuddles and attention. i think this vid is lovely an shows not all dogs r bad!

  • Uff *__*

  • Leonberger are wonderful dogs.

  • the huge dog dont feel anything :D

  • love it i used to have one

  • In the end it looks like the dog is smiling.

  • aaaaaaaaaaawwww....

  • The Baby is hungry and want to eat the dog

  • What's sad is that the dog will one day bite back, and the mother will say, "I don't know what happened! The dog has always has always been playful, loving and has never attacked anyone."

Niemals Brutal.

  • Sorry, but anyone concerned for the safety of the child just don't know anything about Leonbergers. Were it legal, I would trust one of these dogs as a perfect babysitter - more calm and reliable than most humans. Better mannered most of the time as well. Amazing creatures. Such a shame their lifespan is so short or else they would be the absolute perfect companion.

Before the harpies come a callin' - I'm sure there are exceptions and every dog is different, but that's nitpicking.

    Also beruhigt euch :)

  • Sorry 'sgtwilliams123', you don't know Leo's, they'll just get up, and walk away when they've had enough. The other name for Leo's in Germany is 'The Children's Dog'.

  • They are incredibly sweet togheter!!! What a lovely video, thanks for sharing ;-) !

  • Was ein Koloß ... Hammer !

  • i have a leonberger, perfectly harmless and warm at heart :))

  • Dogs are not toys for toddlers. Animals are unpredictable with anyone apart from their owner. We read so much tradgedy in the news of kids getting mauled and even with family pets. Supervised or not.

  • @andicatz

That Kids are killed or attecked by dogs is just a great deal the medias have. Just count the "evil" dogs and find out how many dogs killed kids in which time. You'll see it is not that often than you think.

And well, it is not the dogs fault, but the humans. As we have to know how dogs see the world and see the special situation. If humans would know more about dogs behavior (and not only dog owners!) many accidents could have been avoided.

  • seehr suüüüß .

  • I think ALL dogs should take baby training. This is great for the dogs. It so learns them to be supper supper patience.

  • "I'm going to eat you when mommy goes away"

  • Looks like a well balanced and socialised dog. I have a 12 month old Leo and she's just the same. Really chilled out and calm. They are a truly majestic breed with all the character traits you'd want in a dog that can exceed 140lbs!

  • Aww <3 I see a kid whos going to grow up with a BIIIIIIIIIIG guardian. I bet the dog is going to sign himself up as a legal guardian ;) (metaphorically of course)

  • They're not called "Nanny Dogs" for nothin '! :)

  • You people are freaking out over nothing. If the dog really disliked what the kid was doing he would have walked away a loong time ago or he would have made it clear he didnt like it and the parents would most likely remove the kid from the dog so he didnt have to deal with the kid

  • this is so wrong...

  • put the toddler to sleep...

  • This breed is known for being incredibly good-natured, isn't it?

  • @demonella Leonbergesr have a lively nature, brave, intelligent, steady and affectionate. They have a sweet expression. They're also very loving and steadfast, stable and calm, the Leonberger just loves everyone. Their intelligence is extraordinary; their loyalty and love for their families is unparalleled.

  • @Pepijnjo

I agree. Our dog would let the kids pull on him and he just ignored them or licked them to death. Great family pets. He weighed in at 165 lbs. Not much would bother him.

  • The least they could do is put some bbq sauce on the little snack.

  • Spank the idiot parents' butts and give the poor dog a rest. :o(

  • Okay kids the people saying that this is irresponsible parenting and pet ownership are completely right. I have worked as a veterinary assistant and I have seen innocent dogs be put down simply because of acts like this. Any parent having a child who already has a dog needs to talk to their vet about animal behavior. In the dogs mentality, nipping is the same as a human scolding a child. Obviously adult dogs can't ground or put a puppy in time out so they nip! This is definitely not cute.

  • Bad idea

  • Yea, just because the dog is patient, doesn't mean it's right to let a kid do this. Eventually the dog will have enough and nip at him and it will be the parents fault, not the dog.

  • @sgtwilliams123 then the dog will get put down and that is sooo not right.

  • @MsMegawoot I agree 100%. Dogs get blamed for the irresponsible acts of their owners, It's just not right.

  • @sgtwilliams123

ever seen how a puppy plays with other dogs?!

some dogs understand that little kids are just like puppys and will put up to this behaviour or just walk away

  • @sgtwilliams123

patient? probably they didnt buy the dog right away, if they know the dog for many many years the dog wont do anything, no matter what you do to him.

  • @sgtwilliams123 Duno if you saw @merlin1291 's post, but leo's are some of the calmest dogs you can get. Another really good childrens dog are Newfoundlands. HUGE dogs, but very calm and gentle. Don't judge all breeds by whatever experience with whatever dogs you've seen.

  • @sgtwilliams123 leonbergers are to nice and gentil to harm a child. i own one, and he hasnt bit anyone ever

  • This is very irresponsible and not something to be liked. The poor dog should not be subject to this child constantly tugging at him. Fortunately the leonberger too patient for his own good. Get the baby to try the same tactics with a rottweiler, now THAT is a video I'd like to see.

  • @hollygoheavily1 so basically u dont no dogs because its not the dog its the owners a rottweiler is not a dangerous dog same as staffs, pitbulls or dobermans its just idiots thinking they have a threatening looking dog there 4 it needs 2 b threatening u clearly do not have a dog there 4 ur oppinion should b kept 2 urself!

  • if the dog bites the baby, they would bring it to the vet and the dog were over. The dog is watching not lucky and wants to get up but the woman tell him to stay.

The dog loves the baby?? haha never! perhaps he loves the woman yes.

    Fuck off! This is poor!

  • The dog is showing great patience, but had enough!. He wanted to get up in the middle and the adult prevented him. Then he started yawning, which shows anxiety in dogs.

  • what it this ? a dog or a bear

  • my dog would run away XD such a lovely dog... hes an angel ^-^

  • thats a great dog

  • i can read the dogs mind....hmmmmmmmmmm

    he says...

"Fuck u child! i bang u mom ever day.. BITCH xD"

  • Lol that's how my dog would act :)

  • If the baby is part of his family or 'pack' then it's probably like dealing with puppies...

  • @mwillblade Not all dogs. It depends purely on personality. Like people. Not all people like children and animals.

  • What a good dog

  • that is so cute :)

  • The kid is just trying to climb over the mountain thats all :)

  • Now you know why the 'Leo' is known, in the part of Germany where the breed originates from, as the 'children's dog'. They are also the least aggressive breed of dog.

  • @merlin1291 Leos are part newfoundland dog, which are known to be good with children :)

  • That baby wasn't doing anything over the top, so for those saying, "poor dog", relax. That was pretty cute. I'm considering getting a Leonberger, and can't get over how tolerant they are. I got to meet some recently, and they were wonderful dogs.

  • poor dog

  • this breed reminds me of the Briard

  • my dog will eat that dog

  • is that kid yours? i would fucking kick that kid in the head so hard and then i would take a stone and smash his face in and crush his skull by tramping on it, cutting of the head, and putt a grenade in the throat

  • @lachrise83 any mentally problems? Sure this kid might be annoying for the dog, but there's no reason to overreact like that. You don't have children, do you?

  • @shehi101112 i had actually , but i killed them because they were annoying

  • @lachrise83 u r a rite nob ur all big an brave on the net but i bet u wouldnt say that 2 the kids parents! its sick people like u that make the world a fucked up place an i hope 2 god u have been sterilised as u r sick and evil!!!

  • Honestly, if you replace the kid with another Leonberger pup, the pup would be way more rough on this dog than the kid is on this video. Would you think the pup was an awful puppy too? Get over it! This is a giant dog, not a teacup chihuahua. You people are all so stupid with your remarks. You apparently have absolutely no experience whatsoever with children, or dogs of this size.

  • @1tinacurlyq You are really dumb....

  • Oh shut up about this animal abuse b.s. f the dog was that annoyed it would get up and leave. And the kid isn't awful in the least! You guys need to get off your high horses, and get a life. The dog was very well behaved and seemed perfectly comfortable with the kid. Seriously, some people need to relax.

  • I hate kids.

  • poor dog and stupid people

  • poor dog. :(

  • My sister owns a dog who used to be abused by children; to be played with like a toy. Now, he doesn't allow anyone near him. The only people that can touch/feed him are my sister and her husband. He hates children. Makes a great guard dog though.

  • If I was that dog I'd be euthanized in a heartbeat for attacking that thing climbing all over me.

  • okay whoever took this video is a cunt

  • The animal is not enjoying your child .

  • @mwillblade false. dogs like kids ;)

  • @AntesDeIrVaisTu Not all dogs like kids. Depends on their tolerance and what they are used to

  • @AntesDeIrVaisTu Leonberger have a very large threshold. They cannot impress by young children.

    Sorry for bad english

  • @mwillblade how can you tell? He licked the kid, for heaven's sake! Nowhere in this video does the dog look uncomfortable, or annoyed by this child. You're delusional.

  • @1tinacurlyq Apparently you know nothing of animal behavior .I have trained many dogs in my life time ,to hunt ,to protect and to be obedient . All you do is pet them and never know their body language .

  • @1tinacurlyq you're totaly right - this dog obviously loves this kid. These people who never had a dog, and are yet trying desperately to sound smart, are getting on my nerves!

  • the video stopped because he ate the child in 1 bite XD

haha kidding big dogs are the most friendly

  • beautiful dog

  • dont hold the dogs head down you fucking CUNTS.

  • @gringolazlo they didnt the dogs head was already down fucking BLIND

  • LOL vvvvv

  • Now your owned. Thought you could put out this video so people could see how cute your baby is and how nice your do is, but you failed. Everyone thinks your a moron who lets her baby abuse a poor dog. Congratulations.

  • ainslywainlsy..Way to parent. Put the dog before your baby! You're assumption that the dog is big therefore it must be part of the family for years is retarded. It may not even be this kids dog for all we know. And no...noone said all dogs will bite or are vicious when having there hair pulled. But have some friggin consideration for all involved. I'll never understand why people cling to this kind of thinking. Who are you protecting? Your pride, your trying to be right? It's an animal!

  • She should have taught her kid to have better manners and not pull on that dog's fur! I taught my kids how to treat animals nice, this is mean. You can tell the dog is stressing out, it started panting and wanted to get up.

  • I AM SO MAD ABOUT THIS

    CONTINUE YELLING ON YOUTUBE!

  • How does it feel, if animals would pull YOUR hairs?? Poor dog...

  • @MegaMjfreak Its to teach the dog restraint, while supervised. So if there is a moment when the dog comes in contact with another child, brief, unsupervised, then there is a reduced chance of accidents happening.

  • Is it your baby? Is it your dog? No? Then shut up!!!

  • stupid kid

  • geez louise what a crazy ass bambino if i was that dog id bite his mothers titays for being such a slutarino then id give it to her doggystyle

  • fucking idiots... if the dog was bothered it would get up and walk away... a fucking toddler is like a fly to that dog

  • All dogs have low intolerance to people pulling on their hair.... think if a child was pulling on our hair? We stop them in that instant and tell the child to be easy. It should be considered on the dog as well... just saying.

  • cool kid now a days which is the best game

  • And that woman should let the dog move when he feels like escaping instead of patting him on the head and gently pinning him down. All she'll get that way is a nice video of a dog biting her baby's face off.And yes,i am furious at how ppl allow their children to interact with animals without explaining to them HOW! I agree,he;s too young to know...fine,just wait till he grows up a bit and leave that poor dog in peace

  • @jums0 This was not a learning activity for the child, but for the dog. To see its reaction and train it to accept some form of discomfort without retaliation towards the child. The child can be taught as well but I think that the focus was on the dog. She was praising it so that it would know that it was doing ok by not reacting to the dog.

  • for all these people leaving stupid ass remarks about how the baby is hurting the dog shut the hell up have you not seen what puppies do when they play.

  • Poor dog. What alot of patience it had with that awful toddler. If the dog had been smaller it would probably have bitten the child and then been put to sleep.

  • @roxannehartley come on man its not like the kid knows better...

  • @roxannehartley this is quite dangerous - dogs see humans as their "pack" . Young children are often seen as the next "up" from the dog in the "pecking order" . While here this beast appears to accept this child as at the "puppy" stage , when the child is 3 or 4 it could easily get a nip or a sideways blow from the clenched teeth , which is how dogs are programmed to correct their own young hooligans - then the dog gets dragged off and euthanised , for the idiot parents not teaching the child .

  • @zarquon53 go get some psychiatric help, you need it really badly! Have you ever been around dogs? Ever had a dog? If you did, you wouldn't try to be such a smartass! I have no idea about many things, and would never try to portray an "expert" in any of the fields I know nothing about. You have no clue about dogs, so leave them alone. Or better yet, get yourself a dog, spend 8-9 years with it and then come back and see for yourself what a retarded idiot you are today.

  • @PanicusVulgaris I have had dogs for 53 years , and I take Classes for problem dogs , problems which are usually caused by the cretins who own them .

People like you , really .

    Gobby Yank Trolls .

  • @roxannehartley aweful toddler...really? toddlers are ALWAYS like this lol. that dog loves the attencion and could care less if it could even feel it through 20 pounds of fur ^.^

  • @roxannehartley Those dogs are reputated to be really patient and good with kids. When they tired they just go away.

  • @roxannehartley what if that baby had been you? then what would you say hmmmmmm? o_0

  • @roxannehartley You know how the puppies jumping over their mother? Thats normal for dogs. They used to take way more cruel things naturally.

  • @roxannehartley These types of dogs are very laidback and nice

  • i bet the parents are more likely to bite the child than the dog, especially after hair pulling

  • Aww! My inlaws have a Leo. Love that dog! (and I am NOT a dog person) She is so good with my little girl, just like this. (and to those who are saying "parent that child". It's a toddler, yes you need to be teaching them to be gentle and respectful of pets but there is only so much they are capable of understanding those concepts at that age. That's why awesome patient animals like this are fabulous to have around kids. They allow kids to learn how to be gentle with animals safely.)

  • ugly kid that one.... lovely dog tho........

  • ugly kid......

  • I have Leonbergers... they are NOT toys.... they shall not be treated like that.... please someone take that dog away from those irresponsible dog owners and parents... what are you teaching your kids??????????

  • I feel so lucky to own a Leonberger mix! I love how my dog scares people away only by seeing her, she dont even need to bark :P Like.. shes SO BIG! And so kind to kids, and strangers! And so come :)

EVERYBODY= GO BYING A LEONBERGER! LOL XD

  • seriously teach that kid not to pull his fur

  • This was so touching it made my eyes water

  • iv seen my share of dog attacks when hes trying to get up and leave you know hes not happy....

  • It's annoyed and agitated, alright? But all dogs are like that when there's a baby out and around. You cant keep them apart constantly, and no they shouldn't allow their kid to pull its hair or hit it, but come on people. It's not like its jumping on and squishing a Chihuahua or Doxen. This is a HUGE breed of dog that can take the hits of a baby; it's just probably the squealing of the kid thats making it uncomfortable. And don't call it alittle shit or say you want it to die.Its a FUCKING BABY.

  • Comment removed

  • well the dog isnt unhappy the dog just want his peace xD

  • whoever says hes unhappy, i cant see it, if the dog was unhappy, he'd get up and go.

towards the end, he licks the kid! licking is a sign of affection. obviously he loves the family.

of course the kid shouldnt pull his fur. my baby sister pulls my cats fur and i hate it because i love my cat. you just takes the kids hands off the animal.

    he seems fine.

  • @MissLizWolf

A dog licking a person does not automatically mean affection-just like how a wagging tail does not aways mean that a dog is happy. For example, my dogs will lick me if they want something stopped, like when I cut their nails or when I run the dryer after their bath.

  • @MissLizWolf you are blind noob.

The pet tries to get up at 0:34 then the owner starts pushing the dogs head towards the ground and pet it.
