  • not working for me :L followed steps and all nothing happens :/

  • rockbox just outright SOUNDS BETTER, LOOKS BETTER, AND PLAYS ANYTHING YOU THROW AT IT, NOT JUST MP3 OR ITUNES AAC FILES; that's why is use it. On my ipod nano 1g, it pulls in video playback.

  • lol do u have emotion? lol rockbox is the best

  • No I am a robot :-o

  • y does he keep sayin that 'the possibilities are endless' its a lil creepy but nice vid

  • HOW do you instal exe files on mac?

  • As stated, you can either partition your disk and install XP, or run an emulator of some sort. I have not tried the latter. For this system all you need is a friends pc. A PC should be pretty easy to find, unless you live in the countryside.

  • @MississippiSheapHead Use "WINE" it's made for Linux and Mac, to boot .EXE on other operating systems. It's free too

  • are you brazilian?

  • music fits the video perfectly gives you that godly feeling in a good way NICE JOB!!!

  • Thanks!

  • I just got a chinese fauxpod that barely operates. I was going to try out rockbox to see if new firmware would help but the site isn't up. Any idea where it went?

  • I have a ipod nano 2nd gen and it is there is no install for it just 1st.

  • I'm sorry to hear that. You could probably inquire if programmers are working on that.

  • ok well my leapord systemm broke because of wonderful Sprite and my little brother but i was wondering is there a way to install rockbox using mac osx tiger please help!!

  • I would part your disk, then install windows on that part. To part your disk use the disk utility.

  • can you do this on a mac

  • Yes it is possible. However, the easiest way to accomplish this is using a pc. If you are running xp on a mac through bootcamp, then it is essentially the same process. There is an .exe file that needs to be executed (its the second linked item in the comments). Essentially do all the steps on your mac, get on a friends pc to install the .exe. Then you can add music from your mac to roxbox because the installation is only a one time process. Hope this helps!

  • ya thanks it helped a lot

  • Hey thanks alot man.I had no idea how to put more songs on my nano w/ Rockbox installed. This really helped me. Grrrracius!!!

  • Glad it helped!

  • I'm about to load Rockbox in my iPod, which is a nano, one of the first ones, There will be no problem? 'Cause when Itunes updates the sofware, it is always a mess...

  • There is no problem. When itunes updates the software it deletes files syned to the ipod OS not the roxbox os.

  • Can you please help me i have the same ipod as you with rockbox but i cant figure out how to get my music from itunes back onto it or even if you know how to get music on it again without itunes.....I JUST WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC AGIN help me...please

  • After the update completes, you will need to restart the system. My hunch your problem is that you have the music already on the mainscreen, but have updated the database. You can always see what files you have on the system through the files option on the main screen. If you can be more detailed into what actions you have taken I can help you better; make sure your music is on the MAIN SCREEN, not in a hidden ipod/itunes folder.
