@jaehood109 it depends on where you go. a lot of places will let you go as high as 18,000ft for more money, of course. just google dropzones in your area. "'Name of area' skydiving" usually turns up great results.

The ballon is actually called a drougue chute. its deployed right away to help stabilize during freefall and help maintain a more controlled fall rate. it also makes a cleaner deployment for the main canopy by giving it a "anchor" in the sky, remember, thats about 2 layers of 400 square feet of nylon, all bunched into a bag the size of your keyboard

I went last summer, but only from 11,000 ft. and I agree everyone should do it, but only if they REALLY want to. there's something that happens that I can't explain when you're 2 miles up and the door opens and unless you really want to be up there I wouldnt recommend it.

@freezinteen skydiving doesnt have the feeling of a high drop on a rollercoaster. That was the one thing I was afraid of when I went but you get that dropping feeling in your stomach AT ALL! That's what made it so great! I'm going again in a month or so!
