Everyone asks who will step up if Mubarak leaves....please announce to everyone that Mubarak yesterday detained over 350 political figure to create that emptiness that everyone talking about, including Dr. Muhammad Elbaradei.
Yes people in the streets they don't have leaders to lead them, but it's because leaders are either under house arrest or in prison.
Sarah is not going to run because she can't pocket enough cash. She is the best candidate potential for the GOP but she cannot win the election. All good news for the Democrats.
Jindal- bumbling, Romney- boring, Huckster- creationist, Gingrich- how many wives?, PALIN? Bring it on. I predict a weekly smackdown by Jon Stewart, and lots of laughs all around. But in the end, we win. I love win-win scenarios...
She has no shot, I don't care what anyone says. Republicans are stupid but even they aren't stupid enough to put this woman up as their candidate. They would basically be handing another 4 years to Obama. Although now that I think about it, maybe that's what they want. They seem to be having a lot of fun hating Obama so maybe they want him to stay.
Jeb Bush will never be elected, in my opinion. I think the country has had enough of the Bush's. As far as Sarah Palin, the Republicans are in for a very rude awakening if they think the country will elect her to the White House.
palin horrified and alienated conservatives with an iq over 90 (which isn't many, but quite enough) as a veep candidate we didn't know very well. since then, she's only reinforced perceptions of her selfishness and stupidity.
two years until the 2012 general, plenty of time for more pregnant daughters, hillbilly soap operas and idiotic announcements of non-specific policy point that only make sense to the delusionals.
Re: Jeb Bush: I think it is wayyyyyyyy too soon after "W" for any Bush to be elected. Cafferty is completely off base with his Romney and the economy angle. Most Republicans voted for McCain even though he said there was nothing wrong with the economy! The right wing is limited to a few hot button topics: God, Guns, and abortion. They don't seem to care about much else.
C'mon Republicans please, please, please vote for Palin in 2012. Do that, and I won't come take your guns, bacon, NASCAR gear, and diploma from Beck University.
Gingrich, who actually finished his term of office, Huckabee, who actually finished his term of office, Romney, who actually finished his term of office.... lol
@johnny718bravo I have no doubt that not a day goes by that McCain wishes he had never heard the name Sarah Palin. If he had chosen a moderate Republican male as his running mate I don't think Obama would have won. At the very least it wouldn't have been a landslide.
@Fringe111 As long as the moderator holds her to task. In the VP debate Gwen Ifill kept giving her free passes. I don't think it mattered though, because the Half-Governor still came across as a stream of consciousness blathering fool
Palin is not popular as a serious candidate in 2012, but as a sacrificial sheep. Everybody knows that Obama is a two-term President, none more so than the GOP. The Republicans actually do know better than to allow one of their own viables to get pasted by Obama.
@Starry2000 I think you're on to something. They're saving their younger possible candidates for an easier contest in 2016. The Dem's need to keep in mind that they had better be grooming some candidates for that election as well.
@Rickardius In other words they have no intention of competing with the Democrats in '12. They are just going to throw some of their least valuable members out there in 2012 to say that they did, to keep face with their base. This is pretty much what they did with John McCain in 08, they didn't really count no winning that either.
@Rickardius Looking good for us liberals, eh? I guess if Obama finally wakes up sometime soon and realizes that liberals and centrist independents got him elected then it would be good times for us liberals. For now, he seems intent on being the most bipartisan guy in Washington, even though the Repubs will never work with him and will continually demonize him, Obama is intent on pleasing them. Not to mention all the seats the Dems will likely lose in Nov... Pardon me for being pessimistic.
No matter how frustrated people are with Obama, I'd hope it would be very sobering to look at the names on that list, or to vote for another guy with the last name of "Bush".
I agree, I think Romney would be their best bet for a general election. I'm surprised he's not more popular already, he reminds me of Reagan in a superficial way.
It must be the Mormonism and the "socialist" health care that turns people off to him.
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder "It must be the Mormonism and the "socialist" health care that turns people off to him."
I'll wager the main factor is his special underwear. I can't see the GOP being very successful getting the Republican base to vote for a non-Christian.
PLEASE...spread the word.

Regardless, Ron Paul.

I humbly beseech You to make Caribou Barbie the Republican nominee in 2012.
Please, God, PLEASE! I'm on my knees!

I am all in favor of the Repugs nominating Palin for president.
1. It would insure a Democratic Party win.
2. It would mean Tina Fey going back on SNL and doing her Palin.
