This guy was on MTV a lot, back in the day. I looked for this on the "Tube forever! Thanks to Wickedclowns25 for bringing this tasty tidbit back to the video table!
I remember this. I saw it on a Doctor Demento MTV show. I had it on tape but it was lost years ago. Great to see it again. VHS, DVD...either way, ITS FINE WITH ME!!
I recorded this back in the 80's and would sit there in front of the TV and watch it repeatedly. Last night I bought the LP "Born to be tiled" from eBay. There was one more left if anyone wants it. Thank you WickedClowns25!
I'm looking for the song by Randee of The Redwoods - Either Way It's Fine With Me. Is on the LP Born to be tiled? If it is, could you please let me know how I can buy it or whether you can share it with me?
I remember this was on Mtv all the time, in the day. Thanks to WickedClowns25 for finally getting this on the 'Tube! You friggin' rock, dude! But if you hadn't, either way is fine with me. All kidding aside, Thank you...
Does anyone remember the MTV promo where Death comes to take the guy away? He rings the door bell and the guy answers. He says, "But, I'm watching MTV. Can you come back when it's over?" The Grim Reaper says, "OK."
not only do i rember the "just say whoa" video.. i was in it with my Cub Scout pack.. what fun... if i can find the VHS and convert it will post it on here
Yes! I actually met Jim Turner a year or two ago after he opened for for someone at the Largo. I got a picture with him and had a conversation with him about some of his old characters. Nice guy but unusually quiet.
This is too great, long live Youtube, Since I've been a member, I hoped someone would post this tuff after seeing a miniscule brief Randy sighting on my old Mtv music video tapes.
Dude, it was boomers who CREATED Randee. "Our" generation was still in high school and college...definitely not in the decision-making circles, even in MTV.
(I'm assuming you're under 45 years old, magickmatt...)
I saw a person walking around just kicking dirt; I saw two people playing with guns and one of them got hurt; I saw three people they were sharing electric energy; I saw four people they were changing their priorities, feels like woodstock again, feels like woodstock again.
One of the most awesome originals to come out of the MTV Studios. :)

Randee of the Redwoods was the first collective "F" you my generation made to the Baby Boomers.

Randee was the creation of comedian Jim Turner, who was in his 30s at the time. The character was around before he landed on MTV.
