What's up with the whole thing of the taliban not having tracers, or them somehow being color-coded? In my experience tracers aren't at all uncommon (we once had to fill our clips with nothing but tracers because we were all out of "ordinary" ammo), and if you're using military surplus I'm pretty sure tracers wouldn't be hard to find. Now IR tracers on the other hand. Not that I think the taliban has the NVG capacity to use them anyway. Scary thought though.

@MetalWolf88 Im not 100 percent certain about this, but I think the majority of ammo that the taliban has comes from eastern bloc (Russia, Balkans, former warsaw pact countries) and china. And I believe those countries always had green tracers. Also I think the Taliban dont use tracers often because it would give away their position.

While tracers do work both ways, I've heard of Taliban fighters engaging Swedish troops at around 3km with an AK, and if they can't figure out the basics of ballistics (few assault rifles are effective at 3km), who's tho say they're not daft enough to use tracers all the time? Although I have never heard of them employing tracers, truth be told.

@Steelninja55 Well, I'm not sure on how they actually work, but I've used them, so they do exist. Can't see them with the naked eye, but if you use NVGs they look like regular tracers, more or less. My guess is you replace the phosphorus attached to the projectile with something that only emits IR-light. But when it comes down to how they work your guess is as good as mine :P
