Sonic 3 & Knuckles Final Boss and Doomsday Zone

I played this game so many times. Even with the Sonic&Knuckles cartridge that you can plug in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 into. It took me a while, but I manged to play through all 24 stages of Sonic 3 & Knuckles getting all 7 Chaos Emeralds and then all 7 Super Emeralds. In one setting, I maxed out my lives to 99 and got an over 1 million score. Than I finished Doomsday Zone like no ones business.

Kind of sucks how the franchise is now though...

I have to say that this boss is harder then the last boss in Sonic the hedgehog 3 last boss. This one takes timing and consecration. Cause you don't have any rings. In Sonic 3 its too easy when you use Super sonic.

@soopamariogalaxeee It only happens if you have emeralds coming out of each possible orifice. I'm not 100% sure of S3&K allows access with just chaos emeralds or if it requires supers, but I always had the 7 super emeralds anyway :x

@Lizarius You can access this level whether you have the regular emeralds or Super Emeralds, If you get all of the regular emeralds in the first half of S3&k (Angel Island-Launch Base Zone) and NOT turn them into the empty Super Emeralds during the second half of the game, then you can play this boss as Super Sonic

The last game where he was serious in my opinion was Sonic Adventure 2 where he threatened to blow Amy's head off with a gun if Sonic did not bring him the Emeralds. Robotnik went from being one of the most badass villains in history to a complete laughing stock. There is not only one Robotnik in that but actually multiple Robotniks from multiple universes such as J.U.D.G.E., Ivana Robotina, Ovi Kintobor/Anti Robotnik, and probably the one we all know as the true main villain of the comics Robo Robotnik who adopted the original name of Dr. Robotnik when the Mobius Prime version of Robotnik was erased by the Anhilator and he took on a new form resembling Robotnik's Sonic Adventure design.

Beyond that in the doomsday zone at the 4:46 mark he indeed appears to have retrieved the Master emerald but low and behold what happens shortly after? Sure enough at the 4:52 mark the Master Emerald remains in space only to be reclaimed by good ol Eggman. This doesnt happen when you get all the emeralds including the Super emeralds.

@osvaldo12312 Remained in space and not returned to Angel Island due to him not getting all the chaos emeralds. Also this is just Sonic & Knuckles so the full game isnt present. Back in the day Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were meant to combine to make one LARGE sonic game. It was the largest Sonic game at that time and to this day is hailed as the best Sonic game ever........I miss that age =(. If he had gotten all emeralds and or had Sonic 3 he coulda had hyper sonic and the true ending.

When I was younger, I thought this was one of the most epic battles of all time, especially the Doomsday Zone battle.
