I need some help with mixing the paint for my airbrush.. the mix calls for 3:1 3 parts paint to 1 part reducer what is the best way to measure this out??
Hey Ed thanks so much for all your help, i have a question for u about a project im painting. i am airbrushing a gun and was wondering if i could paint the barrel too due to it gettting hot after several shots. the paint i am using is auto air colors thx so much.
@longshaft69 I really don't have a answer for you on that one. I have only painted the stocks,I know it can be done. But I have never done one myself.
@longshaft69 I'm not Ed but I have been painting cars for 20 years .If you think heat is going to be a problem you need to use an epoxy primer on the bare metal.I've seen epoxy take heat from a acetelene torch and stand up amazingly well. It will take far more than paint your color will,it will severly discolor before it would ever cause it to peel and it would be more chemical resistant to cleaning solvents
Ed you should have a microphone on your shirt. That room echo is awful and it´s harder to get all points clear as foreigner that doesn´t understand english that well :D
@edhubbs Hey Ed. I'm a newbie. Watchin numerous videos of yours soaking it in one day at a time. Fantastic stuff and your years of hard work have clearly paid off. Truely impressive work. I'm just getting into painting and air brushing as it's something I've been wanting to get into for years. Your upcoming video sounds like exactly what a beginner like me that discusses prep, dent repair, sanding, & every step to complete a job. Can't wait for it to come out. Thanks
@rblue59 It is going to be packed with information for the beginner to the pro,Easy to understand and to follow every step.I explain why and what I use different techniques for different applications.
i concur about your responding helping people. thats what makes you my fav airbrush tutor. thnx for all the great tuts and vids as well as responses youve given. you make it look so easy but to someone new to this mimicking your techniques takes a lot of practice and patience. as i get better i will join you in helping new comers, imparting your wisdom haha. again thnx.
Great now I have to buy another video to keep up to date on my collection, thanks ed :P Also just got done painting my Yamaha R6S 08 as soon as it warms up here in Mn ill have to show you the blue wrinkle effect across it i did looks fantastic. Your videos and youtube videos are pretty helpful. I'm also glad that you respond to peoples questions most people don't. Keep up the great work and ill keep buying from you!!!
@sspletz That is awesome,ya I would like to see some pictures.
I vowed a long time ago that if I ever finally figured how to air brush that I would pass it on. Because I to never ever got any one to write me back or answer any air brush or paint question that I had at the time.
So it is my turn to Pay It Forward. Because with out God guiding my hand there is no way I would be where I am now.
thanks for all the vids you put out and the all the hekp you give to us all!!! you the man ed!
